Mask Package Apparatus Integrated with Mask Sizing Ruler
A facemask package integrated with a mask sizing ruler is disclosed. The package stores the masks of various sizes. The mask sizing ruler comprising a first measuring gauge element, a second measuring gauge element and one or more sizes indicated thereon. The sizes in the sizing ruler are determined by categorizing one or more precisely previously measured distance from at least two points on one or more human faces into one or more sizes based on at least one distance on one or more masks of one or more mask sizes. At least one distance on one or more masks of one or more mask sizes is proportional to the maximum vertical distance of the mask in unfolded state. A system and method for determining the sizes indicated on the mask ruler are also disclosed. The sizing ruler precisely indicates the size of the mask that most appropriate to a user as the sizes are categorized from real human face dimensions.
LOWER FACE OXYGEN MASK
A lower face oxygen mask dimensioned and adapted to circumscribe only the mouth of the wearer is provided. The lower face oxygen mask has spaced apart nostril prongs fluidly connecting the nostrils of the wearer with the spaced enclosed by the body of the lower face oxygen mask. The lower face oxygen mask provides an access aperture adjacent with the mouth of the wearer, the access aperture being compatible with standard size bag valve masks and anesthesia circuits. The body of the lower face oxygen mask also provides an access port for inlet and outlet conduits for oxygen and carbon dioxide flow.
Fresh Air/Oxygen Portable Breathing Device With or Without Aromas and Methods of Use
The present invention provides a portable, light-weight, breathing device and methods of use for delivering pristine, fresh air or varying high concentrations of oxygen with or without aroma, i.e., essential oils for stimulating appetite, boosting mood or decreasing stress and anxiety. The breathing device comprises an air container having a breathing air bag therein which contains the fresh air or the varying concentrations of oxygen optionally with the one or more essential oils, tubing for delivering the fresh air or oxygen to a breathing mask, and a plurality of movable valves included in the mask which directs air or oxygen into or out of the mask depending on whether the user is inhaling or exhaling. The breathing device also comprises the use of a can of compressed fresh air or oxygen with or without aroma to be used with an air reservoir or with an expandable air bag.
PATIENT INTERFACES
An interface for positive pressure respiratory therapy includes a mask assembly having a mask seal and a mask shell. The mask assembly is positioned lower than and exposes a bridge of the user's nose. The mask seal includes first and second portions on respective first and second sides of a nasal region that contact opposing sides of the user's nose. The first and second portions each include supports that help maintain a shape of the mask seal. A pair of covers can be supported relative to the mask assembly and adjacent a respective one of the first and second portions of the mask seal. The covers limit expansion of the first and second portions of the mask seal in response to pressurized air within the mask seal. The supports of the first and second portions can transfer load from the mask seal to the covers.
AIRWAY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH SELECTIVELY PRESSURIZED VALVE
Devices, systems, and methods of facilitating airway management with reduced risk of release of droplets and aerosolized pathogens from the lungs of a patient are disclosed, including a bronchoscope adapter for an endotracheal tube, an endotracheal tube with integral bronchoscope adapter, an endotracheal intubation mask system, a laryngeal mask airway-specific mask system, and a quick-seal laryngeal mask airway-specific mask system.
BREATHING MASK AND A SEALING LIP DEVICE FOR A BREATHING MASK
A breathing mask includes a relatively rigid shell and an elastomeric sealing lip mounted to the relatively rigid shell. The elastomeric sealing lip has a contact zone configured to bear against the face of the person. The elastomeric sealing lip further includes a nose bridge region, a first nostril region and a second nostril region. The nose bridge region has a first zone of lower load-bearing capability. The first nostril region has a first zone of higher load-bearing capability. The second nostril region has a second zone of higher load-bearing capability. The first zone of lower load-bearing capability has a lower load-bearing capability than the first and second zones of higher load-bearing capability. In addition, the contact zone is configured to pivot about an articulation axis that extends through the first and second nostril regions.
SKIN-CONTACT PRODUCT HAVING MOISTURE AND MICROCLIMATE CONTROL
Skin-contact products with a transpiration function such as medical devices or medicinal products, of which face masks, aspirators, ventilators, breast pumps or wound dressings are examples are described especially a skin-contact product with a transpiration function with an improved microclimate at a patient interface material-skin contact area. In an embodiment a material system is described that comprises a hydrophobic silicone base material and a hydrophilic silicone material that is combined with the hydrophobic base material.
Manufacturing method for a hood type ventilation device
A device for providing a known concentration of blended air and oxygen, or oxygen, to an individual which incorporates a face mask inside a hood, thereby preventing aerosolization of potentially harmful exhaled gases and controlling condensation issues within the hood while under pressurized conditions. The air tight seal required to allow placement and removal of the hood on the individual will be manufactured using injection molded elastomers to over-mold injection molded rigid plastic components.
MASK SYSTEM HEADGEAR
A respiratory mask system includes a headgear that, in use, secures the respiratory mask system to a patient's head. The headgear includes a pair of forehead straps that are coupled together by a forehead coupler to form a closed loop. The forehead coupler is removably connected to a frame of the respiratory mask such that the forehead straps remain in a closed loop. The pair of forehead straps can also be coupled together by positioning a male strap portion within an aperture of a female strap portion. The male strap portion has a free end that is configured to be received into the aperture. The male strap portion includes a plurality of notches that engage the aperture of the female strap portion and provide incremental adjustment. The free ends of the male and female strap portions have fasteners configured to engage the surface of the other strap portion.
Septi-Cannula
A nasal cannula including a manifold having a delivery channel and a collection channel fluidly connected to a delivery nasal prong for delivering a gas to be inhaled from a patient's nose and to a collection prong for collecting gas exhaled from the patient's nose. The prongs are composed of a resilient material having sufficient memory that allows the prongs to be resiliently spread apart to be inserted into the respective nares of the patient's nose and when released, gently grasp the columella of the patient's nose to secure the cannula in position. The prongs are oriented leftwardly or rightwardly of the channels so that the right or left portions of the patient's face remain unobscured during surgery.
