The system includes an equipment database storing data relating to respiratory therapy device types and mask types. A device recognition module is operable to identify the type of the respiratory therapy device from an image of the respiratory therapy device captured by a client computing device in comparison with the data relating to the device types. A mask recognition module is operable to identify the type of the mask from an image of the mask captured by the client computing device in comparison with the data relating to the mask types. A media database includes media relating to assistance information relating to mask types and device types. A management server is operable to send media relating to assistance information for the identified type of mask or identified type of device to the client computing device.

RESPIRATORY INTERFACE

A respiratory interface (100) for delivering gases to a single nare of a patient; comprises of a gases delivery assembly having a single sealing nasal prong (200) configured to seal with one of the nares of a patient, a conduit (300), a conduit connector (400) and a support (500) with headgear strap clips (503). The prong slides relative to the support to be interchangeable such that it can engage and seal with either nari. A cuff (250, 1250) is connected to slider members (501, 1501). In another embodiment (FIGS. 33-49), the headgear strap (2600) is coupled directly to the prong; the strap (2600) is received between includes cutouts (2241) of the prong (2200) and a cuff (2250).

SUPPORT FOR A BREATHING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS AND/OR ACCESSORIES

A holder apparatus for holding a conduit and/or patient interface such as a cannula, has a mount 251 to couple with a breathing assistance apparatus 10 and at least one mechanical feature 237a, 237b for holding the conduit and/or patient interface such as a cannula in place relative to the breathing assistance apparatus.

SOFT SILICONE EDGED CUSHION FOR FACE AND OXYGEN MASKS WITH ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT SOURCE
20210360999 · 2021-11-25 · ·

A soft medical silicone edged cushion may significantly reduce air leakage and provide comfort to a wearer of a face mask, for example, when the face mask is continually worn by a healthcare worker for a twelve-hour shift of medical duty. The cushion may preferably be U-shaped and comprise a cross-section for holding an extra soft silicone gel or air, yet be sufficiently hard and elastic and of predetermined circumference to be adaptable to self-installation to the lateral edges of a face mask and coatable to protect from the escape of air and fit comfortably on a face despite the use of elastic straps with the face mask or the presence of solid plastic lateral edges of an oxygen mask or a ventilator mask. The cushion may be used to cushion a solid plastic laterally edged oxygen or ventilator mask against the use of elastic ties to tie the face mask around a patient's head. The face mask may comprise a UVC source of ultraviolet light controlled by buttons/displays/battery/USB charging port on the cushion or on a UVC cartridge replacing a filter of an N95 mask.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING INTERFACE COMPONENTS FOR RESPIRATORY THERAPY

Systems and methods permit generation of a digital scan of a user's face such as for obtaining of a patient respiratory mask, or component(s) thereof, based on the digital scan. The method may include: receiving video data comprising a plurality of video frames of the user's face taken from a plurality of angles relative to the user's face, generating a three-dimensional representation of a surface of the user's face based on the plurality of video frames, receiving scale estimation data associated with the received video data, the scale estimation data indicative of a relative size of the user's face, and scaling the digital three-dimensional representation of the user's face based on the scale estimation data. In some aspects, the scale estimation data may be derived from motion information collected by the same device that collects the scan of the user's face.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SELECTING POSITIVE AIRWAY PRESSURE MASK INTERFACE
20210361897 · 2021-11-25 ·

Embodiments of the positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fitting system and method provide a PAP mask fitting process to a specific patient that is as automatic as possible and that returns the patient the most appropriate PAP mask fit. The PAP mask fitting is done in a relatively quick manner. Once a PAP mask fitting has identified a preferred PAP mask for the patient, an appropriate PAP mask can be ordered on demand and is quickly, and possibly immediately, provided to the patient.

Mask

A mask is disclosed that has a gas outlet which is quiet and provides for a diffused outlet flow of gases. The outlet is preferably a slot formed between a hollow body and cover over said hollow body. The mask also preferably extends and seals under a user's chin in use.

RESPIRATOR MASK

A respirator mask that includes a body, a nasal interface, and a mouthpiece. The body defines an exterior surface and an interior space. The mouthpiece includes an inner channel that is insertable into a human mouth, wherein the inner channel extends outward from the exterior surface of the body and defines an opening into the interior space. The nasal interface includes a recessed portion that is recessed into the body and is configured to receive at least part of a human nose. The nasal interface further includes a pair of nozzles, wherein each nozzle of the pair of nozzles is insertable into a nostril of a wearer and defines an opening into the interior space.

Respiratory mask with cheek supports

A respiratory mask can have a frame supporting a sealing arrangement. Various features of the frame and sealing arrangement can improve comfort and reduce the occurrence of pressure sores. The frame can include cheek supports that have a large surface area configured to spread loads over a greater area of the patient's face and therefore reduce the forces applied to the face and the occurrence of point loads. The seal can have a main body that includes a spring with a silicone skin, wherein the spring applies a substantially constant force to the face and/or nares of the patient.

METHODS, SYSTEMS AND DEVICES FOR NON-INVASIVE VENTILATION INCLUDING A NON-SEALING VENTILATION INTERFACE WITH AN ENTRAINMENT PORT AND/OR PRESSURE FEATURE

Systems and methods may include a gas source, a gas delivery circuit, and a nasal interface allowing breathing ambient air through the nasal interface. A gas flow path through the nasal interface may have a distal gas flow path opening. A nozzle may be associated with a proximal end of the nasal interface a distance from the distal end gas flow path opening. At least a portion of an entrainment port may be between the nozzle and the distal end gas flow opening. The nozzle may deliver gas into the nasal interface to create a negative pressure area in the gas flow path at the entrainment port. The nasal interface and the nozzle may create a positive pressure area between the entrainment port and the distal end gas flow path opening. Gas from the gas delivery source and air entrained through the entrainment port may increase airway pressure or lung pressure or provide ventilatory support.
