Universal medical gas delivery system
A first source of medical gas has a generally cylindrical male outlet with a cylindrical bore and a threaded outer cylindrical surface. A flexible cylindrical elastomeric medical gas tubing has an input end with a bushing making a flush abutment with the male outlet at the output orifice. An output end attaches to any of a plurality of medical gas utilizing devices, but preferably with a dampening disperser held in position in the space in the vicinity of a patient's nose and mouth. An annular flange of the input end bushing resides within a central cylindrical bored out region extending through the first end and nearly to the second end of a rotatable connector forming an interior surface of a connector with threads coupling with the threads of the male outlet. The second end is an annular abutment against the annular flange holding the input end tubing bushing against the outlet source and providing an airtight coupling. A gripping means is on the exterior surface of the connector.
RESPIRATORY MASK WITH GUIDE REGION
Respiratory mask with a face part which comprises at least one plane of symmetry, a circumferential seal and an outlet, wherein the face part has an outer side with at least two anchor points, which are arranged to both sides of the plane of symmetry, and wherein the at least two anchor points each comprise a receiving element for releasable connection to a connection element, and wherein the connection element is configured to receive a harness. At least one guide region is arranged adjacent to the receiving element.
PATIENT INTERFACE SYSTEM
A patient interface for respiratory therapy includes an interface body and a housing for receiving the interface body. The patient interface also includes a securement member having a pair of support pads, each of the support pads configured to engage the face of a user. In some configurations, the interface body can be a cannula body or a mask body. In some configurations, the housing can receive different interface bodies, and the interface bodies are interchangeable.
Swivel elbow and connector assembly for patient interface systems
A patient interface assembly includes a cushion assembly, and air delivery tube, and a connector assembly. The cushion assembly includes a flexible cushion including a base and a pair of nasal pillows that extend from the base and a frame that is more rigid than the flexible cushion. The connector assembly connects the air delivery tube to the cushion assembly and includes and elbow with a second end with a part spherical ball shape and a gas washout vent with a plurality of vent openings. The connector assembly also includes an elbow connector positioned in the frame. The elbow connector forms a part spherical socket shape that engages the part spherical ball shape of the elbow. The elbow connector includes an anchoring flange, which is configured to secure the flexible cushion to the elbow connector by way of the anchoring flange being inserted into the flexible cushion through a central opening in the flexible cushion.
UNOBTRUSIVE NASAL MASK
A patient interface for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a mask having a sealing portion adapted to form a seal with the patient headgear adapted to secure the mask to a head of the patient and an adjustable strap assembly including a pair of straps connected to one another in a length adjustable manner.
Nasal mask with aromatic dispenser
A mask includes a body having an interior surface defining a cavity shaped to receive a user's nose. An exterior surface of the body is exposed to an ambient environment. The body includes an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity and a one-way exhaust valve in fluid communication between the cavity and the ambient environment. A therapeutic substance dispenser is in fluid communication with the cavity. In one embodiment, a nasal aromatic decongestant is disposed in the therapeutic dispenser. A mask includes an upper nasal cavity separate from a lower oral cavity, with an inlet in fluid communication with only the upper nasal cavity. A medicament delivery assembly, and methods for the use thereof, are also provided.
VENTILATION APPARATUS
A ventilation apparatus has a breathing gas delivery system for delivering breathing gas to a user of the apparatus as ventilation therapy, with a controllable pressure and flow. The breathing pressure and flow are monitored to derive a respiration variability. A state of relaxation of the user is derived during provision of breathing assistance based on at least the respiration variability. Settings of the ventilation apparatus are then adapted dependence on the estimated state of relaxation for assisting the user in habituating to the breathing assistance, and hence habituating to breathing therapy.
CUSTOMIZED FACE MASK MADE USING ADDITIVE MANUFACTURE
A face mask including a base model of a mask body having a front side and a back side and defining an interior. The back side includes a face opening within which a portion of a user face including a nose and mouth can be inserted and encompassed. The face opening is defined by a perimeter and is modified to substantially correspond to contours of the user face based on scan of topographical facial features of the user face.
Foldable subtrate and patient interface formed therefrom
An apparatus including a patient interface device formed from a flat substrate that is folded, wherein the patient interface device includes a plurality of seams where sections of the substrate are joined together, and wherein one or more of the plurality of seams form a shape that corresponds to a perimeter of a bottom side of a nose from a first alare corner of the nose to a tip of the nose to a second alare corner of the nose.
Reusable respiratory protection device
A reusable respirator including a mask adapted for covering and conforming to the face around the nose and a mouth of a user, a strap configured to secure the mask to a face of the user, and a filter component. All components of the respirator are capable of being cleaned, disinfected and sterilized at temperatures in excess of 50° C. An outer surface of the mask is substantially smooth and wettable for easily disinfecting and is shaped with a pair of outer shield portions for housing particulate air filters. The outer shield portions each include a closeable vent through the outer surface that is adapted to provide a user seal check and direct air flow through the outer surface for filtering by the respective particulate air filter, which is adapted to filter at least 95% of airborne particles.
