An elongated rain gutter member is formed with a G-shape profile, and having an eave flange that fits between an edge of roofing material and the roof support beneath it, a generally vertical soffit portion extending down from the eave flange, and a curved rain channel member that curves outwardly and up forming a rainwater channel with the soffit portion, and continuing up and over the edge of the roofing material. A hemmed edge of the free edge portion of the curved rain channel member is fastened to the roofing material and is spaced so as to form channels into the rain gutter between the edge portion and the roofing material. This rain gutter can be used on a tin roof that has elongated ribs or can be adapted to use with a shingle roof or other roof.

A gutter guard for retaining a gutter and for covering an opening of the gutter provided. The gutter has a front wall and a rear wall and the opening is defined by a top edge of the front wall and the top edge of the rear wall. The gutter guard includes a front portion for operatively engaging the front wall of the gutter, a rear portion having an upwardly and rearwardly extending hook member for retaining the rear wall of the gutter and an upstanding member fastenable to an upstanding support structure, and a central portion extending between the front portion and the rear portion and having a plurality of throughholes formed therein. The gutter guard may be multi-layered, having a first sheet member and a second sheet member that are spaced apart and having non-aligned throughholes. A gutter guard kit can include at least one gutter guard and a gutter that are operatively engageable with one another.

A fall restraint for a worker on a roof comprising a yoke line, wherein a first end of the yoke line is releasably connected to a first building structure and a second end of the yoke line is releasably connected to a second building structure. The fall restraint also comprises a support line, wherein a first end of the support line is slidably connected to the yoke line, and a second end of the support line is connected to a worker harness, wherein the support line is adapted to travel over a ridge line of the roof and at least partially support the weight of the worker.

The method includes dispersing copper or other material ions through the water receiving area of a gutter guard for the prevention of moss or mold growth. The method includes the utilization of thread(s) sewn into or embroidered onto or otherwised affixed to or immediately preceding the water receiving areas of a gutter guard, such thread(s) being comprised of moss killing materials. The thread(s) comprise only a portion of the water receiving area, so if corrosive elements form and wash over the water receiving area, they will be in sufficient amounts to kill moss but not in so great an amount as to clog any water receiving apertures. The method includes the utilization of staples or other objects comprised of copper or other moss killing materials fastened to or adhered or welded to the body or water receiving areas of a gutter guard or areas immediately preceding such.

A gutter debris preclusion device for use with a gutter attached to a building, comprising a support structure being substantially rigid and having a recess with a plurality of apertures and a plurality of ribs; a screen having a plurality of apertures and being at least partially disposed on the ribs of the support structure; and, wherein a cross-sectional profile of the screen has an arc shape.

Disclosed herein are examples of hanger and strap systems arranged to secure and support rain gutters and accommodate the installation of a gutter guard system with the rain gutter. Ab exemplary system includes a hanger and a strap. The hanger includes a body, a hook portion located on one end of the body, a flat end portion located at an opposite end of the body, and a plurality of slots passing though the body. The strap includes a body, neck section, a head section, and a plurality of apertures passing through the body. The neck and head sections are arranged to engage with one of the plurality of slots of the hanger to support the rain gutter and accommodate the installation of a gutter guard system with the rain gutter. In an alternative embodiment, the hanger includes a clipped portion on one end in place of the flat end portion.

A gutter system has a gutter that has a front wall, a back wall, and a floor, and the front wall is coupled to the floor and the back wall is coupled to the floor creating a channel through which water and debris flow. The gutter system further has at least one reinforcement hanger comprising at least one leg and the at least one leg couples to the back wall via at least one crimped bend and an arched piece couples to the front wall by insertion into a bend that extends the length of the gutter. Further, the at least one reinforcement hanger has a horizonal plate extending back from the crimped bend and a vertical plate that extends upward from the horizontal plate, the vertical plate has an opening for receiving a fastener to attach the gutter to a fascia board.

A gutter cover system including a mounting bracket, gutter clip, and a cover piece. The mounting bracket attaches into the internal space within the gutter and is attached to a structural portion of the building to which the gutter is attached. The clip helps secure the bracket within the lip of the gutter. The bracket includes a structural tower for supporting the upper portion of the cover and a receiver platform for receiving a lower portion of the cover. The cover is non-uniform and includes several structural ridges to provide structural integrity.

The present disclosure relates to gutter systems and gutter covers that prevent preventing debris from falling into and clogging a gutter. The gutter cover includes a longitudinally extending body having a front end and a rear end, a generally planar front portion and a generally planar rear portion. The gutter cover also includes a middle portion disposed between the front portion and the rear portion, the middle portion including a longitudinally extending first ridge. The first ridge is contoured to avoid contact with a mounting bracket of the gutter system.

A modular platform for configuring gutter guard systems is disclosed and claimed herein. Such gutter guard systems are designed and arranged to be positioned across the opening of a rain gutter to prevent debris from entering the rain gutter. The modular platform includes a number of interchangeable components. Select interchangeable components can be assembled to form a gutter guard system for use with a specific rain gutter based on the rain gutter's style, size, color, and the mechanism used to secure the rain gutter to a structure and/or roofline. In one embodiment, the components of a modular platform for configuring gutter guard systems include a number of main bodies, a number of front receivers, a number of rear receivers, a number of screens, a number of clips, and a number of brackets.
