Patient sleep therapy mask selection tool
A method of identifying a particular mask for a patient for use in delivering a flow of breathing gas to the patient includes capturing with a visual presentation and interaction component a plurality of images of the patient; receiving with the visual presentation and interaction component a number of responses from the patient to questions presented to the patient, eliminating one or more masks from a pool of potential masks for the patent based on at least one of the responses, utilizing at least some images of the plurality of images to determine the particular mask for the patient from the pool of potential masks, and identifying the particular mask to the patient.
LINER FOR A RESPIRATOR MASK
A respirator mask liner is provided for positioning between a respirator mask and the face of a wearer. The mask liner includes a flexible sheet material having an outer perimeter edge portion and a hole that is spaced inwardly from the outer perimeter edge portion. At least one tab projects outwardly from portions of the perimeter edge portion, and may be unitarily formed with the sheet material. The mask liner is configured so that when it is to be placed between the face of the wearer and the respirator mask, the tab or tabs project outwardly beyond the gasket portion of the respirator mask, so that the tabs may be used for adjusting the liner or securing the liner to the mask. Optionally, the mask liner has a surface texture with a ribbed and undulating pattern of raised portions, and/or incorporates an anti-microbial substance.
Oxygen masks
The present disclosure relates to an oxygen mask comprising: a mask body defining a cavity configured to be positioned over the mouth and nose of a patient, an oxygen port formed on the upper half of the mask body, an annular aperture formed on the mask body, and at least one vent port formed on the mask body, wherein each vent port is formed on the bottom half of the mask body in a manner that patient's exhaled gases are directed towards the vent port.
PATIENT INTERFACE
A patient interface comprises a support structure and a seal-forming structure. The support structure is arranged to support the sealing portion and is configured to connect to the frame. The sealing portion comprises textile and is attached to the support structure along an outer perimeter of the sealing portion such that in use the sealing portion may be in tension due to reactive stress of the support structure and/or a resilient stretch characteristic of the textile such that the sealing portion exerts a force against the patient's face.
FOLDABLE SUBTRATE AND PATIENT INTERFACE FORMED THEREFROM CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS
An apparatus including a patient interface device formed from a flat substrate that is folded, wherein the patient interface device includes a plurality of seams where sections of the substrate are joined together, and wherein one or more of the plurality of seams form a shape that corresponds to a perimeter of a bottom side of a nose from a first alare corner of the nose to a tip of the nose to a second alare corner of the nose.
OXYGEN DELIVERY APPARATUS USING EYEGLASS FRAMES
An oxygen delivery apparatus wearable by user includes a frame including nose pads connected to a bridge portion, an oxygen inlet defined by one of the nose pads, an oxygen inlet defined by the frame, and a hollow channel contained by the frame. The oxygen inlet and oxygen outlet are in fluid communication via the hollow channel. The frame can be formed as a monolithic structure using additive manufacturing. A nasal prong can be connected to the oxygen outlet such that a prong outlet of the prong is in fluid communication with the hollow channel. The prong outlet is positioned within a nostril of the user during use of the apparatus. A method of fabricating the frame includes obtaining measurement information for at least one of a head feature or facial characteristic of the user and generating a digital model of the oxygen delivery apparatus using the measurement information.
PATIENT INTERFACE DEVICE COMPONENT DESIGN SELECTION OR GENERATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A method of selecting or generating a design for a component of a patient interface device, the method including receiving a scan of at least a portion of a patient's face, receiving preference information about the patient, and generating a custom design or selecting a preexisting design for the component of the patient interface device based on the scan of at least a portion of the patient's face and the preference information, wherein a size or shape of the generated custom design for the component or selected preexisting design for the component is based on the preference information.
Mask system
A mask system for use between a patient and device to deliver a breathable gas to the patient includes a mouth cushion, a pair of nasal prongs, an elbow, and a headgear assembly. The mouth cushion is structured to sealingly engage around an exterior of a patient's mouth in use, and the pair of nasal prongs are structured to sealingly communicate with nasal passages of a patient's nose in use. The elbow delivers breathable gas to the patient. The headgear assembly maintains the mouth cushion and the nasal prongs in a desired position on the patient's face. The headgear assembly provides a substantially round crown strap that cups the parietal bone and occipital bone of the patient's head in use.
Seal forming structure for a patient interface and a tool and method of manufacturing the seal forming structure
The technology provides for a cushion assembly or a tool for forming the cushion assembly for a patient interface delivery of a supply of pressurised air or breathable gas to an entrance of a patient's airways. The cushion assembly has an inferior surface and a mask connection portion, and includes a pad arranged on the inferior surface for sealingly contacting a wearer's face in use.
Interface comprising a nasal sealing portion and a rolling hinge
An interface for positive pressure therapy includes a mask assembly. The mask assembly can include a mask seal that is adapted to underlie the nose. The mask seal extends up the lateral sides of the nose. The mask seal has a primary seal below the nose and a secondary seal alongside the nose. The mask seal can include a rolling hinge that permits one portion of the mask seal to deform relative to another portion of the mask seal. In one configuration, the portion of the mask seal that underlies the nose is configured to deform relative to a lower portion of the mask seal.
