METHOD OF OBTAINING A 3D SCAN OF A PATIENTS FACE

A method of obtaining a 3D scan of a patient's face includes receiving a request for a 3D scanner from the patient, sending the 3D scanner to the patient, receiving the 3D scan of the patient's face obtained from the 3D scanner from the patient, receiving the 3D scanner from the patient, and using the 3D scan of the patient's face to make, select, or customize a patient interface device for the patient.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING A USER INTERFACE

The present disclosure relates to a method for identifying a user interface. Flow data associated with air flowing in a respiratory therapy system is received. Acoustic data associated with the respiratory therapy system is received. The received flow data and the received acoustic data are analyzed. Based at least in part on the analysis, a mask type for the user interface is determined.

POSITIVE-AIR-PRESSURE MACHINE CONDUIT

A conduit for delivering a supply of gas under a positive pressure includes a conduit wall having a first conduit end and a second conduit end. The first conduit end is adapted to be attached to the supply of gas. The conduit wall is deformable between (a) an open condition in which the conduit wall defines a conduit passage along which the supply of gas can travel between the first conduit end to the second conduit end, and (b) a collapsed condition in which the conduit wall substantially collapses the conduit passage.

DELIVERY OF A PRESSURE SUPPORT THERAPY

A method of improving delivery of a pressure support therapy provided by a pressure support device to a patient via a patient interface device includes begins by receiving current data regarding details of one or more of the patient and the delivery of the pressure support therapy. The current data is then compared to stored data. If a change is determined between the current data and the stored data which is indicative of a poor mask fitment, an indication is provided of a need for a new patient interface device fitting for the patient.

CAPTURING AND USING FACIAL METRICS FOR MASK CUSTOMIZATION

An apparatus for use with an electronic device in capturing facial metrics of a user of the electronic device, wherein the electronic device has a front facing camera facing the user and a rear facing camera facing away from the user. The apparatus includes a frame structured to be coupled to the electronic device and a number of reflective surfaces mounted to the frame. The number of reflective surfaces are positioned and structured such that the front facing camera may capture a first image of the user and the rear facing camera may capture a second image of the user simultaneously with the first image.

DETERMINING FACIAL METRICS OF A PATIENT AND IDENTIFYING A CUSTOM MASK FOR THE PATIENT THEREFROM

A method of determining facial metrics of a patient includes: capturing a first image of the patient with an image capturing device positioned in a first known position with the assistance of a positioning device, capturing a second image of the patient with the image capturing device positioned in a second known position different that the first known position with the assistance of the positioning device, and determining facial metrics of the patient by analyzing the first image and the second image.

METHOD FOR OBTAINING FACIAL METRICS OF A PERSON AND INDENTIFYING A MASK FOR THE PERSON FROM SUCH METRICS

A method of determining facial metrics of a person includes: receiving a request that the person requires a mask; navigating an autonomously operable vehicle to the person using at least one imaging device; capturing a number of images of the person using the at least one imaging device; and determining facial metrics of the person from the number of images. The method may be further employed in a method for identifying a mask for the person which further includes determining a mask for the user from the facial metrics; and identifying the mask to the person.
