RESPIRATION MASK AND SEAL THEREFOR
20190009044 · 2019-01-10 ·

A respiration mask includes an upper portion connectible to a source of gas, a lower portion connected to the upper portion, facilitating a seal between the upper portion and a person's face, and a deformation element incorporated into the lower portion to establish a plurality of sealing barriers between the lower portion and the person's face. The upper portion is made from a first material with a modulus of elasticity between 150 ksi and 200,000 ksi. The deformation element is made from a second material exhibiting a hardness below one of 40 Shore A or 80 Shore 00 and tear a resistance greater than 5 lbf/in.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SELECTING A MASK USING AUGMENTED FACE SKETCHES
20190005689 · 2019-01-03 ·

A method of assisting in selection of a particular mask from among a plurality of masks, the method comprising: generating a plurality of augmented faces, each augmented face corresponding to a respective mask of the plurality of masks; and associating each augmented face with a respective mask of the plurality of masks.

CUSTOMIZED SEALING MEMBER USING STOCK MATERIAL
20180369528 · 2018-12-27 ·

A customized sealing member is for a customized mask. The customized mask includes a support member. The customized sealing member is manufactured by the process of generating surface geometry data of a face of a patient, the surface geometry data corresponding to and representing a surface geometry of the face of the patient; providing a directing apparatus shaped according to the surface geometry data, the directing apparatus being structured to receive and direct a stock of material; and inserting the stock of material into the directing apparatus in order to produce the customized sealing member.

CUSTOMIZED SEALING MEMBER FROM BLANK
20180369530 · 2018-12-27 ·

A customized sealing member is for a customized mask of a pressure support system. The steps to manufacture the customized sealing member include generating surface geometry data of a face of a patient, the surface geometry data corresponding to and representing a surface geometry of the face of the patient; generating customization data using the surface geometry data, the customization data representing how a seal blank should be modified for the patient; and customizing the seal blank using the customization data such that the customized seal blank is shaped according to the customization data.

CUSTOMIZED MASK WITH RIGID SUPPORT
20180369529 · 2018-12-27 ·

A customized mask is manufactured by the process of: generating surface geometry data of a face of a patient, the surface geometry data corresponding to and representing a surface geometry of the face of the patient; generating original cushion geometry data using the surface geometry data; generating modified cushion geometry data using the original cushion geometry data; producing a rigid support member using the modified cushion geometry data such that it is shaped according to the modified cushion geometry data, the support member being made of a unitary material; and coupling a sealing flap to the support member, the sealing flap being structured to engage the face of the patient.

RESPIRATORY INTERFACE DEVICE INCLUDING CUSTOM FEATURES

A respiratory interface device (10) is provided that includes a cushion (30) and a faceplate (12). The cushion is structured to be coupled to the faceplate. The faceplate includes a peripheral end (18) and a number of custom features (60). The cushion is coupled to the faceplate adjacent the faceplate peripheral end.

INTERFACE DEVICE HAVING USER SELECTED INDICIA FORMED THEREIN
20180361097 · 2018-12-20 ·

A customized member for use in an interface device for delivering a flow of breathing gas to the airway of a patient. The member includes at least one dimensional characteristic selected to fit the member to the patient and an indicia, which was selected by the patient or a representative thereof, formed permanently therein.

BREATHING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS
20240277963 · 2024-08-22 ·

A breathing assistance apparatus comprises an oral appliance, wherein the oral appliance has at least an uppermost splint adapted to engage with a set of maxillary teeth. The apparatus also comprises a strapless positive airway pressure nasal mask and a plurality of ferromagnetic members provided on the oral appliance and nasal mask. The ferromagnetic members comprise one or more magnets such that the nasal mask and oral appliance are attracted to each other when the apparatus is being worn by a user.

MASK SYSTEM

A shroud for a mask system includes a retaining portion structured to retain a frame, a pair of upper headgear connectors each including an elongated arm and a slot at the free end of the arm adapted to receive a headgear strap, and a pair of lower headgear connectors each adapted to attach to a headgear strap. The retaining portion, the upper headgear connectors, and the lower headgear connectors are integrally formed as a one piece structure.

Textile seal-forming structure with multiple curvatures

A patient interface including a seal-forming structure with a textile membrane. The textile membrane has at least one hole such that the flow of air at a therapeutic pressure is delivered to at least an entrance to the patient's nares. The seal-forming structure is constructed and arranged to maintain the therapeutic pressure in a cavity of a plenum chamber throughout the patient's respiratory cycle, in use. The textile membrane includes a first portion that is held in a relaxed state and a second portion that is held in a taut state. The taut state of the second portion is configured to allow the seal-forming structure to include a three-dimensional shape that has multiple curvatures.
