Mask system with snap-fit shroud

A shroud (1020) for a mask system includes a retaining portion structured to retain a frame (1040), a pair of upper headgear connectors (1024) each including an elongated arm (1026) and a slot (1027) at the free end of the arm adapted to receive a headgear strap, and a pair of lower headgear connectors (1025) each adapted to attach to a headgear strap. The retaining portion, the upper headgear connectors, and the lower headgear connectors are integrally formed as a one piece structure.

MASK SIZING TOOL USING A MOBILE APPLICATION

Apparatus and methods automate selection of patient interface(s) according to their size, such as with processing in a processor(s) or in a server(s). Image data captured by an image sensor may be received. The captured image data may contain facial feature(s) of an intended user of the patient interface. The facial features may be captured in association with a predetermined reference feature of known dimension(s). The user's facial feature(s) and the reference feature may be detected in the captured image data. Image pixel data of the image may be processed to measure an aspect of the detected facial feature(s) based on the reference feature. A patient interface size may be detected from standard patient interface sizes based on a comparison between the measured aspect of the facial feature(s) and a data record relating sizing information of the standard patient interface sizes and the measured aspect of the facial feature(s).

Patient interface device with customizable cushion

A patient interface device (8) includes a cushion assembly (100) that is customizable to compensate for anatomical variances from patient-to-patient and, therefore, provides an effective seal with the patient's face. The cushion assembly includes a cushion member (102) having a first side structured to engage the patient's face, and a second side disposed opposite the first side, a plurality of plate members (108, 110, 112, 114, 116), and an adjustment mechanism (120, 122, 124). The adjustment mechanism is structured to adjust the position of the plate members, thereby changing the shape of the cushion member to generally conform to the patient's face.

A pair of eye goggles is described. The eye googles include a three axial adjustable nosepiece that can be fit over a wearer's nose including a plurality of unequal length strands on each side of the nosepiece with the strands comprising resilient properties different from the resilient properties included in the other strands in the plurality of strands on that side. The eye goggles also include a strap that can be fit removably around the wearer's head, and a pair of eyepieces. Each eyepiece includes a transparent lens that can be fit over one of the wearer's eyes, and a frame that surrounds the transparent lens to which the nosepiece and the strap are attached. The eye goggles also include a sealing pad formed on an inside-facing edge of the frame.

TEXTILE SEAL WITH AIR-ASSISTED BIASING PORTION

A patient interface comprises a plenum chamber and a seal-forming structure. The seal-forming structure comprises a support structure arranged to support a sealing portion that is adapted to sealing engage the patient's face in use. The seal-forming structure may also include a seal biasing portion configured to inflate under pressurization within the cavity in the cushion assembly in use to extend the reach of the sealing portion and decouple the sealing portion from external forces.

TEXTILE SEAL-FORMING STRUCTURE WITH MULTIPLE CURVATURES

A patient interface including a seal-forming structure with an elastomeric membrane that has at least one hole such that the flow of air at a therapeutic pressure is delivered to at least an entrance to the patients nares and/or an entrance to the patients mouth. The seal-forming structure is constructed and arranged to maintain the therapeutic pressure in a cavity of a plenum chamber throughout the patients respiratory cycle, in use. The elastomeric membrane includes a first portion that is held in a relaxed state and a second portion that is held in a taut state. The elastomeric membrane is molded to include a three-dimensional shape that has multiple curvatures. The at least one hole includes an arch on a lateral side of the at least one hole, and is in a relaxed state before use. The arch is configured to move to a substantially taut state during use.

Cushion element for a patient interface

A patient interface that provides a flow of gas to a user. The interface includes a face-contacting layer and a multi-layer structure covered by the face-contacting layer. The responsive structure includes a plurality of actuators for moving the face-contacting layer. The actuators include a first and second groups of actuators, each of which comprises electrodes arranged in one or more layers. The layers are arranged above each other. The electrodes in the first group of actuators are, with respect to a first axis, transverse to the one or more first and second layers, and are arranged spatially offset relative to the electrodes of the second group actuators such that the electrodes of the first group of actuators do not overlap the electrodes of the second group of actuators.
