A face mask for extended wear by a user including a customized, contoured facial mask portion constructed and configured to cover and matingly contact a corresponding contoured surface area of a human face, preferably formed by 3D printing methods and materials. The face mask includes strap attachments and at least one strap for securing the customized, contoured facial mask portion to the face. The face mask includes at least one replaceable air filter for filtering out viral or bacterial pathogens.

Interface sizing tool and method

A method and apparatus can be used in the selection of correctly sized respiratory interfaces. The method includes the use of light beams to project sizing markers onto a patient's face, which enables the size of the patient's facial features to be measured relative to a set of interface sizes. A sizing apparatus can include a light source and beam splitters that will refract and project the light source into a series of beams that can be aligned on a patient's face in order to measure the features of the patient.

PAIR OF EYE GOGGLES
20230248574 · 2023-08-10 ·

A pair of eye goggles is provided. The pair of eye goggles includes a nosepiece fittable over a portion of a wearer's face, the nosepiece comprising one or more strands, at least a portion of the nosepiece comprising a phase change material, wherein a shape of the nosepiece changes upon an application of an energy to the phase changing portion to conform to the face; and a pair of eyepieces connected to the nosepiece.

Lightweight Respiratory Mask

Disclosed is a particularly lightweight breathing mask for respiratory applications or as personal protective equipment, in which the rigid component is produced from thermoplastic films by means of high-pressure forming. The base material of the rigid component is available in a flat form and can thus be printed or coated in a variety of ways before processing; this allows properties to be introduced into the mask that would not be feasible in a conventional injection molding process. The use of film instead of injection-molded components enables a significant reduction in weight and thus an improvement in wearing comfort for the user. At the same time, the film allows a higher degree of flexibility of the rigid component during operation, enabling a better fit to the shape of the face under certain operating conditions and thus also improving wearing comfort

Positive-air-pressure machine conduit

A conduit for delivering a supply of gas under a positive pressure includes a conduit wall having a first conduit end and a second conduit end. The first conduit end is adapted to be attached to the supply of gas. The conduit wall is deformable between (a) an open condition in which the conduit wall defines a conduit passage along which the supply of gas can travel between the first conduit end to the second conduit end, and (b) a collapsed condition in which the conduit wall substantially collapses the conduit passage.

Mask system with snap-fit shroud

A shroud for a mask system includes a retaining portion structured to retain a frame, a pair of upper headgear connectors each including an elongated arm and a slot at the free end of the arm adapted to receive a headgear strap, and a pair of lower headgear connectors each adapted to attach to a headgear strap. The retaining portion, the upper headgear connectors, and the lower headgear connectors are integrally formed as a one piece structure.

Devices, systems, and methods for detecting a sealing condition between a patient interface and a patient, and adjusting the patient interface to maintain the patient interface in sealing contact with the patient. The patient interface may include a sealing structure to form a seal on the patient, and a positioning structure to secure the sealing structure to the patient. The patient interface may include a sensor coupled to the sealing structure. A processor determines the sealing condition between the sealing structure and the patient based on a signal from the sensor, and adjusts at least one of the sealing structure and the positioning structure to maintain the sealing structure in sealing contact with the patient. A prediction system predicts a leak between the sealing structure and the patient based on the sensor signal. A learning system learns how to fit the sealing structure to the patient to form a seal.

NASAL ADAPTER

A nasal adapter includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a mouth exhalation guide portion having a facing portion facing a mouth of a living body and formed with a mouth-side guide path for guiding exhaled breath exhaled from the mouth to the facing portion, a base portion disposed above the mouth exhalation guide portion with respect to the living body, and a cuttable portion integrally formed with the mouth exhalation guide portion and the base portion. The cuttable portion disconnectably connects the mouth exhalation guide portion to the base portion. The base portion is fixed to the second portion. The first portion is detachably connected to the second portion at a connecting section below the cuttable portion with respect to the living body.

INTELLIGENT SETUP AND RECOMMENDATION SYSTEM FOR SLEEP APNEA DEVICE

A system and method for assisting a patient in setting up and using respiratory therapy device is disclosed. The system includes an equipment database storing data relating to respiratory therapy device types and mask types. A device recognition module is operable to identify the type of the respiratory therapy device from an image of the respiratory therapy device captured by a client computing device in comparison with the data relating to the device types. A mask recognition module is operable to identify the type of the mask from an image of the mask captured by the client computing device in comparison with the data relating to the mask types. A media database includes media relating to assistance information relating to mask types and device types. A management server is operable to send media relating to assistance information for the identified type of mask or identified type of device to the client computing device.
