Roof runoff water control systems for a building with gutters and a downspout and buildings without gutters. Both systems employ a swale in the ground that is lined with rock filled bags that are opened and laid overlapped end-to-end. For the downspout, a closed bag filled with rock is placed under the downspout with open bags filled with rock laid overlapped end-to-end in the swale and overlapped downstream from the closed bag. For a building without gutters and having a drip line in the ground, open bags filled with rock are laid overlapped end-to-end in the swale. The swale and the open bags are aligned with the drip line.

System of components which, assembled, form a rainwater separator for a downpipe

A system of components, which, when assembled, form a rainwater separator for a downpipe is disclosed. The system includes, among other things, a screen for fine filtering of the rainwater. In a first assembly arrangement, the parts are assembled to form a rainwater separator with the screen so that the filtered water can be used as non-potable water for the household. In a second assembly arrangement, the screen is omitted, so that the water obtained from the rainwater separator may be utilized for watering the garden, for example.

The downpipe fitting includes two parts connected together and rotatable relative to one another about a longitudinal axis thereof. The first part has an inlet, sized and shaped to couple with an outlet of a first section of the downpipe, above the downpipe fitting. The second part has an outlet which is sized and shaped to couple with an inlet of a second section of the downpipe, below the downpipe fitting. The inlet and outlet of the fitting define a flow path for rainwater therethrough. Rotation of the second section of downpipe below the downpipe fitting, about the longitudinal axis, is decoupled from the first section of downpipe above the downpipe fitting.

The latch is controlled by the control board wherein the control board receives inputs from a data source, a moisture sensor, a calendar database, or other relevant source. The latch is connected to the downspout extension such that when the latch releases, the downspout and downspout extension become disconnected and the downspout extension can move to the lowered position. The release kickoff includes a device such as a spring to assist in initiating the downspout extension moving to the lowered position.

The pop-up lid is configured to pivot about the pin to transition between a first position where the plate covers the flow channel along the top end and a second position where the flow channel is exposed such that water is emitted therefrom. The clip is disposed within the slot and engages the pin such that the clip retains the pin within the slot.
