Shaft assembly, covering or protective device, and mounting kit
A shaft assembly for a protective or closing device comprises a hollow-shaped hollow section body and a drive unit. The shaft assembly is arranged to be mounted between a first support bearing and a second support bearing. The hollow section body is rotatable about longitudinal axis thereof and arranged to accommodate a curtain or a panel. The drive unit is at least partially accommodated in the hollow section body. The drive unit comprises an output for rotatably driving the hollow section body. The hollow section body comprises a first end and a second end and extends between the first support bearing and the second support bearing. At least at the first end or at the second end of the hollow section body, a connecting sleeve is provided. A biasing element is arranged between the hollow section body and the connecting sleeve. The connecting sleeve is axially displaceable relative to the hollow section body against a force applied by the biasing element.

An awning assembly and method is provided that includes an awning connection system coupling an awning canopy to a support structure. The awning connection system comprises a rolling assembly operably connected to the awning canopy, a lock bearing coupled to the rolling assembly, and an end cap, comprising a lock, coupled to the rolling assembly. Wherein, the rolling assembly comprises an unlocked mode, wherein the lock bearing is free from contact with the lock, and a locked mode, wherein the lock bearing is in contact with the lock.

LATERAL ARM AWNING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATION
A lateral arm assembly and method of operation includes first and second articulating arms comprising first and second ends, the first ends of the articulating arms are mounted upon assembly to a support surface at separate lateral locations. The first ends each comprise separate pivoting mounting structures for forming a first pivotal connection with the first and second articulating arms. The lateral arm assembly also comprises a roller tube having spaced lateral ends supporting respective end brackets that provide a second pivotal connection to the second ends of the articulating arms. The roller tube supports a canopy coupled to a roller shaft, wherein one of the end brackets further supports a device that drives the roller shaft for furling and unfurling the canopy.

An awning is disclosed. The awning comprises a case assembly comprising a housing, configured to be mounted to a dwelling, and a lead rail, a roller assembly mounted in the case assembly and including a roll tube rotatable relative to the case assembly, a lead rail assembly coupled to the lead rail, the lead rail assembly movable relative to the housing between an extended position and a retracted position, a canopy having a leading edge and a trailing edge, the leading edge being connected to the lead rail assembly and the trailing edge being connected to the roll tube, and a spring arm assembly connecting the housing of the case assembly to the lead rail, the spring arms including a first arm and a second arm pivotable relative to one another, the spring arm assembly allowing the lead rail assembly to move between the extended position and the retracted position.
