The undergrate stairway access assembly is a portable stairway designed to provide safe access to different levels through temporary openings in supporting surfaces such as floors and sidewalks. Specifically, the undergrate stairway access assembly is an assembly comprising an integrated guardrail and step structure that allows a worker to safely traverse between different levels through openings in the supporting surface while preventing workers from inadvertently falling through these openings. The undergrate stairway access assembly is ideal for providing protection for projects that require the removal of grated surface protections such as sidewalk grates, sewage grates or undercarriage bays. The undergrate stairway access assembly comprises one or more step structures and a guardrail structure.

A ladder assembly is described. The ladder assembly includes a frame, a door, a ladder and a cord manipulation assembly. The frame at least partially surrounds a first opening. The door is movably connected to the frame. The door is configured to cover at least a portion of the first opening of the frame, the door defines a second opening. The ladder is connected to at least one of the frame and the door. The ladder has a first side rail, a second side rail spaced a distance apart laterally from the first side rail, and a plurality of rungs extending between the first and second side rails. The ladder is configured to be at least partially positioned within the first opening of the frame. The cord manipulation assembly is connected to the door. The cord manipulation assembly has a power source connector, a reel adapted to support a cord, a motor operatively connected to the reel and the power source connector, and a remote control transceiver assembly operatively connected to the motor and the power source connector.

A collapsible stair with foldable ramp can include a first step, and a second step nestable within the first step such that when the collapsible stair is in a closed position the second step is aligned with the first step and when the collapsible stair is in an open position a lateral offset between the second step and the first step is increased. A third step can be nestable within the first step such that when the collapsible stair is in a closed position the third step is aligned with the second step and is in an open position a lateral offset between the third step and the second step is increased. A ramp can be rotatably coupled to the first step to rotate from a stair position to a ramp position, wherein the ramp position comprises the second step and the third step being covered by the ramp.

An improved retractable attic stair apparatus assembly includes a stair component retractable staircase assembly including two shock mount subassemblies, two gas spring subassemblies, and two short railing pipe assemblies. The two short railing pipe assemblies are used as a left and right handrail of the retractable staircase assembly while also supporting the two shock mount subassemblies. The two gas spring subassemblies are at least partially supported by the two shock mount subassemblies. The attic stair apparatus is configured for an installation site in an attic or a garage and includes a first retracted configuration. A deployed configuration allows the apparatus to extend downwardly from the installation site for use of the attic stair apparatus by a user to ascend the attic stair apparatus to access an attic, a garage crawl space, or a garage roof.

A portable pathway apparatus for providing a path over a surface, the portable pathway comprising: a pliable frame member; a row of mating holes disposed on each side of the pliable frame member; a set of steps coupled to the pliable frame member; wherein one or more of the set of steps is coupled to the pliable frame member with a mount that aligns with the row of mating holes on each of the corresponding sides of the pliable frame member.

A tank farm system that includes a tank configured to hold a volume of fluid; a barrier constructed at least partially around the tank; and a portable pathway disposed on the barrier. The portable pathway further includes a pliable frame member; a row of mating holes disposed on each side of the pliable frame member; a set of steps coupled to the pliable frame member; wherein one or more of the set of steps is coupled to the pliable frame member with a mount that aligns with the row of mating holes on each of the corresponding sides of the pliable frame member.

A ladder having platform steps, the ladder being convertible between a deployed position for supporting a person or other load, to a storage, scaffold, or ramp position in which the steps lie in a generally planar arrangement. When deployed, the ladder steps remain parallel to each other and form a series of parallelograms with the rails of the ladder. The ladder is also capable of being locked or secured at various angles of deployment. The ladder further includes receivers to selectively receive accessories such as wheels, hooks, handles, or pads. The addition of accessories such as wheels allows the ladder in the storage position to be used as a creeper, dolly, or cart.

A shelter includes a body having a wall. A stairs and platform system is connected adjacent the wall of the shelter. The stairs and platform system includes a platform and a stair assembly. The platform includes: (i) first and second spaced-apart side rails and a platform floor located between the first and second side rails; and (ii) first and second platform handrail assemblies respectively located on opposite first and second lateral sides of the platform. The stair assembly is connected to the platform to provide access to the platform and is movable relative to the platform from a first operative position in which the stair assembly projects outwardly away from the platform to a second stowed position in which the stair assembly is retracted relative to the platform and at least part of the stair assembly is supported adjacent the platform. The first and second platform handrail assemblies are each selectively configurable to be in: (i) an operative position in which the first and second platform handrail assemblies project respectively upwardly from the opposite first and second lateral sides of the platform; and (ii) a stowed position in which the first and second platform handrail assemblies engage both the platform and the stair assembly to capture and retain the stair assembly in its stowed position.
