VERTICAL CABLE BARRIER HAVING RAILS WITH INTERNAL CABLE FITTING ENGAGEMENT FEATURES
A rail panel includes a first rail and a second rail. The first rail includes a first pair of side walls, a first perimeter wall disposed orthogonally to the first pair of side walls, and a pair of internal walls extending from the first perimeter wall and disposed parallel to the first pair of side walls. The first perimeter wall defines a plurality of first cable holes spaced apart along the length of the first perimeter wall. The second rail includes a second pair of side walls, and a second perimeter wall disposed orthogonally to the second pair of side walls, the second perimeter wall defining a plurality of second cable holes disposed spaced apart along the length of the second perimeter wall. A plurality of vertical cables extend from the first rail to the second rail, where a first end of each of the plurality of vertical cables extends through a respective first cable hole and a second end of each of the plurality of vertical cables extends through a respective second cable hole. A plurality of threaded swage fittings are each coupled to a respective first end of one of the plurality of vertical cables, where each threaded swage fitting is received between the pair of internal walls of the first rail such that the pair of internal walls inhibit rotation of the threaded swage fitting. A rigid support member extends from the first rail to the second rail.
Taper-Loc System Improvements
An improved base shoe for use with panel installation removal systems. The improved base shoe includes dovetail grooves for use with a safety-seal and a weather seal, wherein the safety-seal and weather seal must be installed prior to installing a glass panel. The improved base shoe features a recess for use with taper plates having a continuous projection along an upper surface. The base shoe and taper plates are configured so as to provide a prying surface between the projection on the taper plates and a wall of the base shoe.
Method and system for generating handwritten text with different degrees of maturity of the writer
The invention relates to a method and system for generating handwritten text with different degrees of maturity of the writer without needing to have the original text of the writer, thereby allowing the generation of text online (synthesizing temporal movement) and offline (generating the image of the handwriting), the simulation of real development in terms of the number of strokes and the velocity profile of the writer according to his or her progress, and the generation of handwriting of writers with possible neurological and motor disorders.

FRAMELESS GLASS FENCING COMPONENT
In one aspect there is disclosed a frameless glass fencing component (40) for a frameless glass fencing installation. The frameless glass fencing component (40) is produced from an engineering plastic and includes a substantially rigid reinforcing member (42).
Arrangement for fastening a panel in a slot using two opposite wedges
An arrangement for fastening a vertical panel in a longitudinal receiving slot by transverse gripping between two wedges includes a first wedge inserted between a vertical face of the slot and a first face of the panel; a second opposite wedge inserted between a vertical face opposite the slot and a face opposite the panel; a screw-nut assembly intended to produce a vertical translational force from the second wedge in a gripping direction; wherein the screw-nut assembly is arranged on the same side of the panel as the first wedge, the translational force being transmitted to the second wedge via a movable transmission member.
VERTICAL STABILIZER APPARATUS FOR RAILING SYSTEMS
Embodiments of railing systems are disclosed. One embodiment comprises a horizontal wood deck, first and second vertical wood posts mounted to the wood deck, a horizontal wood hand railing mounted to the posts and over the deck, and a vertical metal stabilizer apparatus. The vertical metal stabilizer apparatus has (a) a plurality of horizontal metal bars, each of the bars having an elongated body with first and second ends mounted to the first and second vertical wood posts, respectively; and (b) a vertical metal stabilizer having an elongated body with first and second ends, the body having a plurality of apertures, each of the apertures receiving a respective one of the bars, the first and second ends having first and second attachment means respectively that secure the stabilizer to the deck and hand railing, respectively.
COUPLING DEVICE BETWEEN TWO COAXIAL SHAFTS, IN PARTICULAR FOR A STEERING COLUMN OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
A coupling device includes two coaxial shafts, namely a tubular outer shaft and an inner shaft, capable of rotating about a reference axis; a wrap-around raceway formed on a first one of the coaxial shafts; an oblique raceway formed on the second coaxial shaft and a play take-up rail provided with a complementary raceway and movable relative to the second coaxial shaft parallel to a plane perpendicular to the reference axis. A row of balls is positioned to run parallel to the reference axis on the wrap-around raceway, the oblique raceway and the complementary raceway, to guide the two coaxial shafts relative to each other in translation.
Device for fastening a panel-shaped component in a receiving groove of a carrying rail
A device for fastening a panel-shaped component in a receiving groove of a carrying rail, comprises a holding element for holding the panel-shaped component in the receiving groove such that an end face of the panel-shaped component introduced into the receiving groove is supported on the bottom of the receiving groove via the holding element, two clamping elements for clamping the panel-shaped component between the flanks of the receiving groove, and at least one tension anchor for positioning the clamping elements. At least one of the tension anchors is flexible and reaches over from one side of the panel-shaped component around the end face of the panel-shaped component to the clamping element, which is to be positioned by the flexible tension anchor, on the other side of the panel-shaped component.
RAILING ASSEMBLY
The present disclosure provides for a railing assembly further comprised of a top and bottom rail separated by balusters. The balusters are connected to one another by means of spacers, which are in turn connected to both the top and bottom rails by means of a snap-fit connection. A method of assembly of the rail assembly is also disclosed, comprised of snap-fitting the spacers to the top and bottom rails and installing the balusters in between pairs of adjacent spacers, and repeating this process for a given length of the top and bottom rails.
