A locking arrangement, including a panel with a locking groove; an edge strip with a first form; as well as a locking element placed at least partly or entirely between the edge strip and the panel. The locking element includes a protrusion inserted in the locking groove of the panel and configured to prevent the panel from detaching from the edge strip, and a second form matching with and received by the first form of the edge strip, and configured to prevent the locking element from detaching from the edge strip. In the presented method for assembling the locking arrangement, in its first step, the locking element is placed against the panel so that the protrusion is inserted in the locking groove of the panel, after which they are installed in the edge strip.

STANDOFF FOR MOUNTING PANEL AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING PANELS

A standoff for mounting panels such as glass panels in architectural applications include a plurality of parts that are first mounted to the panel and are then used to identify the locations for the anchor fasteners in the support structure or to locate the anchor fasteners as they are driven into the support structure. One configuration includes a bushing that defines a through opening. The bushing is placed through an opening the panel to be mounted. A barrel defining its own opening is then placed on the portion of the bushing that extends from the panel. The through hole of the bushing is aligned with the opening of the bushing such that an anchor fastener can pass through the bushing and the barrel into a support structure to which the panel is to be mounted.

A system and method for waterproofing the interface between a base shoe and a panel is provided. The system includes a weather seal adapted to extend between an inner side wall of the base shoe and an adjacent surface of the panel to seal the gap therebetween. The system includes an elongate groove formed in the inner side wall at a downward offset angle and including a groove entrance that is accessible from directly above. The weather seal includes a foot adapted to be received into the elongate groove when the seal is configured to seal the gap. In this way, the seal may be installed from above and the seal's foot may be pressed into the groove via the groove entrance to secure the seal in place.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF RELEASABLY SECURING A WEDGE IN A GAP

Open-topped channels/troughs are often used as a footing in which glass panels may be placed and secured substantially vertically. A tapered wedge may be forced into the gap around the panel. As gradually wider portions of the wedge are forced into the gap, the panel is gripped ever tighter. However, it is often difficult to remove panels secured in this manner. The present invention provides a wedge support which can be separated into two portions by the insertion of a tool into a tool socket. In this way, if a wedge is used with the wedge support, the wedge support may be removed with the tool thereby permitting easy removal of the wedge.
