Drywall corner assembly
A drywall corner assembly includes a trim unit that has a first portion which is perpendicularly oriented with a second portion thereby facilitating the trim unit to be installed on an outside corner of a framed wall intended for receiving drywall installation. A pair of screw plates is each integrated into a respective one of the first portion and the second portion of the trim unit to accommodate a fastener for attaching the trim unit to framing members of the framed wall. A sheet is bonded to the trim unit and the sheet extends substantially across each of the first portion and the second portion of the trim unit. The sheet is aligned with an exposed surface of drywall installed on the framed wall to facilitate joint compound to be laid between the drywall and the sheet.
Stucco crack reduction at corners
Stucco cracks at doors and windows are reduced or eliminated by use of a corner element fastened at a corner juncture before stucco coats are applied. The disclosed corner element spreads out or evenly dissipates differential movement or buckling often occurring at exterior corner junctures. The corner element may comprise various concentric circle attributes useful in stopping or reducing cracks in stucco and related building materials. The corner element embodiments may be secured at window and door corner areas and then integrated with traditional stucco applications.
PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE JOINT SUPPORT
The present disclosure relates a joint support that includes a support strip having first and second elongate flanges, the first and second elongate flanges having an inside surface, an outside surface, an inner edge, and an outer edge. The joint support further includes a first auxiliary flap including an inner portion attached to the inside surface of the first elongate flange and an outer portion that extends laterally beyond the outer edge of the first elongate flange. The joint support further includes a second auxiliary flap including an inner portion attached to the inside surface of the second elongate flange and an outer portion that extends laterally beyond the outer edge of the second elongate flange. The joint support further includes a pressure sensitive adhesive substance disposed on at least a first portion of an inside surface of each of the first auxiliary flap and the second auxiliary flap.
DRYWALL TRIM PIECE OR TAPE ATTACHED WITH HEATED ADHESIVE
A trim strip assembly is provided for use on a corner formed by at least two sheets of drywall. The trim strip assembly includes a trim strip body extending along a body axis that may extend longitudinally, and the trim strip body may have at least one inside surface 18. The trim strip assembly also includes an adhesive layer formed over at least a portion of the at least one inside surface of the trim strip body, the adhesive layer having a softening point range such that when the adhesive layer is heated to a temperature within the softening point range, the adhesive layer bonds to at least one of the at least two sheets of drywall to secure the trim strip body to the at least one of the at least two sheets of drywall.
Partition molding
A partition molding of a metal strip having a right angle cross-section with a vertical leg and a horizontal leg joined at a corner, the horizontal leg having a hem distal from the corner and projecting above a main part of the horizontal leg, the vertical leg having a series of regularly spaced holes for reception of drywall screws used to attach the molding to a wall whereby contact force between the molding and an overlying ceiling is concentrated at the hem and a reaction force can create a moment that serves to urge a lower edge of the vertical leg against a wall on which the molding is mounted.
Cove Flashing Base Support
The present invention relates to a polymeric cove base support for installation where flooring meets a wall, comprising extruded straight portions and molded exterior corner and end portions. The cove base support comprises an upper wall portion, a lower toe portion and an intermediate curved or concave cove. The wall portion is substantially perpendicular to the toe portion. The curved cove comprises an outer cove surface for facing the wall-floor interface and a spaced apart inner curved cove surface facing the room when installed. The spacing between the two curved coves for the straight portion creates an open area, where the open area includes a supporting or reinforcing bar juxtaposed between the curves, preferably positioned perpendicular between the two curve coves in the center region of the open area, and extending the length of the cove base. The corner and end portions have outside surfaces facing the wall and a floor, the outside surfaces defined in part by spaced ribs extending perpendicular to each of the toe and wall portions.
METHOD FOR INSTALLING WALLBOARDS IN AN OUTSIDE-CORNER CONFIGURATION
A method for installing a wallboard in an outside-corner configuration includes inserting an end of the wallboard into a first channel of a wallboard-fastening device, placing an inner corner of the device against a corner of a framing member, and driving a fastener through a second framing panel of the device to secure the device to the framing member. The inner corner is formed where the second framing panel meets, at a right angle, a first framing panel. The first channel is formed by the first framing panel, a bridge panel, and a flat-spring flange that forms a step with the bridge panel. Mud applied over the flat-spring flange, and up to the step, covers the seam formed where the flat-spring flange contacts the wallboard. A second wallboard may be inserted into a second channel of the device such that the two wallboards are perpendicular.
The corner element embodiments may be secured at widow and door corner areas and then integrated with traditional stucco applications.
Casing accessories
The present disclosure is directed to casing accessories for use with multi-component wall systems. Some of the casing accessories of the present disclosure can include a mounting bracket to attach the accessory to a wall structure and a channel formed in part by a spacer that can be adjusted to adjust the channel width in order to encase components of multi-component wall systems that can vary in width from one installation to another. In another aspect, some of the casing accessories can include one or more drainage canals that direct water from one part of the casing accessories to another. In another aspect, some of the casing accessories can impede fire propagation through multi-component wall systems.
Joint strip for reinforcement of drywall panel joints
A joint strip for reinforcement of drywall panel joints as well as for a method for reinforcing panel joints i.e. around a corner of a window or door opening is disclosed.
