Precise faux wood reproduction system and method
A system and method for fabricating and installing structure siding with the appearance of logs fashioned from at least one mold configured from digital scans of existing logs of an antiquated log cabin is described. The process facilitates the reuse of scans amounting to digital files representing an existing log cabin structure. Via the system, staff members may craft a recreation of the faade of an existing log cabin numerous times on modern homes without the removal of the original logs, taking out all unwanted imperfections of the existing log cabin structure. A high-definition metrology grade scanner is preferably employed to capture the appearance of the existing log cabin in great detail such that molds may be formed to facilitate its reproduction. Composite faades may be created based on scans of logs derived from a variety of existing log cabins to create a new design.
Method for producing a cementitious board, apparatus for producing a cementitious board, and cementitious board
Method for producing a cementitious board (1), wherein a first liner (2) with first overlap sections (5) is provided and furnished with at least one layer of at least one slurry comprising a cementitious material (3); a second liner (4) with second overlap sections (8) is provided and arranged such that it contacts the first overlap sections (5) of the first liner (2), wherein the at least one layer of the at least one slurry (3) is arranged between the first liner (2) and the second liner (4); an adhesive foam (6) is provided at least partly on at least one of the first or second overlap sections (5, 8); and the first liner (2) and the second liner (4) are bonded via the adhesive foam (6) in the overlap sections (5, 8).
TEXTURED CLADDING ELEMENT WITH INTEGRATED DRIP EDGE
A textured cladding element can be manufactured to approximate the aesthetic and functional properties or natural wood siding and/or shingles. The cladding element can comprise non-wood material, such as fiber cement. The cladding element can include a step and a recessed portion or cove which enables the element to have a relatively low thickness while also achieving a desirable drip edge and/or shadow line when multiple cladding elements are overlapping when installed in a finished product.
Masonary Panel Assembly
A masonry panel assembly for enhancing quality and efficiency of masonry work includes a panel that that has a pre-dried layer. The panel has a plurality of ridges thereon and the process of fastening the panel to the wall replaces applying a scratch coat for masonry work on site. A mortar is applied to masonry units to attach the masonry units to the panel after the panel is fastened to the wall. Additionally, the mortar engages each of the ridges such that the mortar resists running downwardly on the panel when the masonry units are adhered to the panel by the mortar.
Lintel Lift Apparatus and Method
A horizontal support apparatus and method are provided for use with any structure having a horizontal span, including but not limited to doors, garages, and windows. The horizontal support apparatus may include two support columns, a lintel that is configured to be attached to the support columns, and that includes a vertical flange and a horizontal flange. The apparatus may include two lift bolts coupled to two end portions of the horizontal flange. The two lift bolts may be configured to respectively raise the two end portions of the horizontal flange. The apparatus may include two rotatable lift nuts that, when rotated, raise the lift bolts to engage and raise the two ends of the horizontal flange.
Construction system having corner core blocks and decorative face blocks
A construction system using core blocks having a horizontal front mounting recess in the front surface defining a core detent lip, and face blocks having a horizontal rear mounting recess defining a face detent lip, and connectors for supporting stacked courses of the face blocks suspended on the front surfaces of stacked courses of core blocks, the connectors having a rear hook and a front hook, wherein the face blocks are each supported by their rear surfaces with at least one connector, by engagement of the front hook with the face detent lip and engagement of the rear hook with the core detent lip.
WILD-FIRE PROTECTED SHED FOR STORAGE AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY DURING WILD-FIRES
A wild-fire protected shed structure for installation on a parcel of real property, or within a garage, and having a fire-protected internal storage space for storing and protecting diverse items of personal property during raging wild-fires. The wild-fire protected shed structure has a Class-A fire-protected wood-frame structure constructed from Class-A fire-protected lumber, and having an interior side and an exterior side. Radiant energy insulation is installed on the exterior side of said wood-frame structure, for insulation to radiant energy sources located outside of the wild-fire protective shed structure. Thermal energy insulation is applied to the interior side of the wood frame structure, to provide thermal energy insulation to the interior of the wild-fire protected shed structure to maintain the interior temperature relatively cool, despite extreme temperatures outside while wildfires are circling the wild-fire protected shed structure. Fiber cement panels are installed over the radiant energy insulation, to provide fire protection to the radiant energy insulation. A fire-door is installed in a front door way portion of the Class-A fire-protected wood-frame, providing essential fire-protection from the door way portion of the wildfire-protected shed. Also, a Class-A fire-protected steel roofing system is mounted on the roof portion of the wild-fire protected shed structure.
Insulation tile and method for its manufacture
The insulation tile comprises a first planar surface, a second planar surface and side surfaces defining the surfaces, and a casting compound layer as well as an insulation material layer, which is manufactured from thermal insulation material, the compression strength of which is at least 10 kPa. The casting compound layer forms the first planar surface of the insulation tile and the insulation material layer forms the second planar surface of the insulation tile. Furthermore, the insulation material layer of the insulation tile comprises grooves in the area of the planar surface which will be against the casting compound layer. The insulation tile according to the invention can be used in floor, roof and wall structures.
Artificial Stone Construction Material and Method of Making
An artificial stone building tile and method. Disclosed is an artificial stone building tile and a method of making the building tile. The building tile has a low density and significant flexibility, and is nailable without cracking. It is made by layers of cement formulations separated by layers of metal mesh. Color batches of cement are prepared and placed in the bottom of a mold, with the color batches becoming the visible face of the building tile.
Doorway lintel lift apparatus and method
A doorway lintel lift apparatus and method are provided. The door lintel lift apparatus may include two support columns, a lintel that is configured to be attached to the support columns, and that includes a vertical flange and a horizontal flange.
