Disclosed herein is a fiber cement cladding system such as fiber cement shingles or shakes which can have the appearance of authentic wood. Each individual fiber cement shingle or shake comprises a textured surface having a depth of relief and a coating system disposed on the textured surface. The coating system may include a sealing agent, a basecoat, and a topcoat. In some embodiments, the basecoat is disposed on at least a portion of the sealing agent and the topcoat is disposed on at least a portion of the basecoat. In some embodiments, the basecoat comprises a DFT of 1 to 3 mils and the topcoat comprises a DFT of 0.05 to 2 mils. In some embodiments, the depth of relief of the textured surface of the fiber cement shingle is about .03 to .085.

SELF-SPACING LAP SIDING PRODUCT
20200256062 · 2020-08-13 ·

A lap siding product with a unique shiplap joint that spaces abutting pieces of siding correctly from each other without installer measurements. The shiplap joint comprises a bottom element and a top element. A lap siding panel or board has a bottom element shiplap joint at one end, and a top elements shiplap joint at the other end. The corresponding ends of two lap siding panels or boards (i.e., one bottom element and one top element) together form the unique shiplap joint of the present invention. One or more drainage channels or grooves help re-direct water from the joint, and at least one of the channels or grooves also provides a visual element for proper spacing. An engineered stop on the underside of the top element also helps space the pieces of siding correctly, without requiring measurement during installation.

Lap and panel siding with ventilation elements

A plurality of ventilation elements, vents, slots, or gap elements or similar features that are applied to, or machined into, one or more sides of exterior siding products, such as lap siding, panel siding, decorative trim, or other cladding materials. When the exterior siding product is installed, the ventilation elements, vents, slots, or gap elements or similar features provide a built-in air and water gap to facilitate and increase water drainage and air circulation behind the siding or panel, thereby minimizing water storage in the space behind the siding and lowering the equilibrium moisture content of the siding itself. The ventilation features are incorporated into the corresponding product in-line or during the manufacturing process, and do not require any further work during assembly or construction on-site (e.g., furring strips or other similar drainage mechanisms are not needed). Some or all of the ventilation features or elements are located to improve the product's ability to equilibrate (moisture-wise) in a product stack before installation as well as after installation.

PANELIZED EIFS STUCCO-SIDING SYSTEM AND METHOD
20200149287 · 2020-05-14 ·

A panelized EIFS stucco siding system with a locking edge. The device is a pre-finished stucco siding panel system that can be installed in any weather condition without extra preparation or consideration. The system has SL trim lock system that can be installed by professionals or can be used by the DIY (do-it-yourselfer). It provides a weather tight cladding system that adds beauty and insulation value to the building envelope.

Fiber cement articles with ultra-smooth exterior surface and methods for manufacturing same

Described herein are cementitious articles having an integrally formed exterior surface with ultra-smooth finish and reduced porosity and/or thickness relative to the core of the cementitious article. Described herein are also techniques and methods for producing fiber cement articles having a thin exterior shell characterized by improved smoothness and reduced porosity.

BUILDING CLADDING COMPOSITIONS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PREPARING AND ASSEMBLING SAME
