A head for supports of raised floors includes a support body having an upper surface shaped as a cavity partially counter-shaped to receive a spherical cap; a protrusion emerging from the upper surface of the support body and having a threaded side wall; a tilting element having in its upper part a flat surface for supporting building elements and in its lower part a portion partially shaped like a spherical cap configured to be laid on the support body, the tilting element having a through hole configured to receive the protrusion; and a ring nut having an inner surface and an outer lateral surface, the inner surface being threaded to mesh with the threaded portion of the side walls of the protrusion, the outer lateral surface being shaped to abut against the inner surface of the through hole in the tilting element.

Peripheral restraint system for elevated flooring surface

A peripheral stabilizing system for elevated flooring surfaces that is configured to resist uplift forces acting against the elevated flooring surface thereby reducing the likelihood of dislodged flooring units (e.g., surface tiles, pavers, etc.) and the like. Broadly, the disclosed system includes a support structure disposed over a fixed surface (e.g., roof deck or the like), a plurality of flooring units appropriately laid over the support structure, and one or more restraint systems positionable adjacent the outer periphery of the flooring surface. Each restraint system includes an anchoring member disposed over the outer periphery and a wedge member insertable between the anchoring member and the wall to frictionally grip the anchoring member and wall and thereby restrict movement of at least one of the peripheral flooring units in a direction away from the fixed surface.

RADIO FREQUENCY TRANSMISSIVE RAISED ACCESS FLOOR PANEL
20210242673 · 2021-08-05 · ·

Disclosed is a sensor floor tile that utilizes a RF frequency transmissive disk that transmits sensor data from sensors located in a plenum of a raised floor system. An antenna is located adjacent to the disk so that sensor signals can be transmitted from the sensor located in the plenum under the floor tile to a wireless receiver located in an elevated location in a data center room, a computer room, a clean room, an office space, etc. A network connection can also be provided by the antenna when the antenna is connected to a router in the plenum.

Interconnected modular frames for groutless setting of hard tiles
11840847 · 2023-12-12 ·

Interlocking modular tile frames for joining hard tiles without requiring a substrate adhesive (thin-set mortar) or grout. Each tile frame comprises integrated segments that form a rigid or semi-rigid enclosure to hold a single hard tile within its interior. Each segment has an upside-down T-shape cross-section comprising a column and a base. The columns, which frames a tile, eliminate the need for grout. An inserted tile rests on the base while being held in place by the column along each segment. One or more mechanical interconnections are located at an outer portion of each enclosure corner to couple adjacent frames together. A stain-resistant material such as but not limited to polyethylene, polycarbonate, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), acrylic, ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), nylon, rubber, or a combination thereof, can be used for the frames.

A spacer for support elements of a decking or paving support system, has a central region, at least two spacer arms extending laterally from the central region, and a retention portion coupled to the central region, wherein the retention portion has a longest lateral axis extending laterally and wherein the longest lateral axis lies at an angle to each of the at least two spacer arms.

TACTILE SOUND FLOORING SYSTEM
20210285235 · 2021-09-16 ·

Presented herein, is a modular tactile flooring system. The tactile flooring system is made from individual modules that each support a tactile transducer. The individual modules may be assembled to form a tactile dance floor. More specifically, the modules may interlock to form a single dance floor surface. Further, the modules may be individually leveled to provide a level surface even when an underlying support surface is uneven. that facilitates assembly of a tactile sound floor and readily permits the tactile sound floor to be assembled in a desired location.

A flooring substrate system that uses one of three substrate components upon which various types of finish flooring may be attached above a deck structure. The deck structure may be open lumber framed or may be a waterproofed planar surface. Affixation of the flooring system may be by direct connection or by gravitational placement. Height and slope adjustable components interlock through a plunge, twist and locking teeth arrangement to form supporting members beneath the substrate components. A special fastening system is utilized between two of the substrate components to compensate for high wind lift load conditions.

DETERMINING STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF A RAISED FLOOR

Concepts for determining a structural integrity of a raised floor comprising an array of stringers and stanchions are presented. Each stringer is supported at opposite ends by a respective pair of stanchions. One example comprises a system having a transmitter configured to transmit a signal between a pair of stanchions via a respective stringer and a receiver configured to receive the transmitted signal. The system further comprises a processing unit configured to determine a status of the stringer based on the received signal, then determine an indicator of a structural integrity of a raised floor based on the determined status.
