A skirting board has a core with an upper side, an opposed lower side and a front side and back side situated opposite to each other and extending between the lower side and the upper side, and a plate-shaped material attached to the core and covering at least the front side. The plate-shaped material, seen from the upper side of the core, extends to beyond the lower side of the core.

A device for laying floor and wall covering for outside corners includes two portions, namely a rigid central first portion that is substantially in the shape of a hollow tetrahedron or of a quarter of a truncated cone, and a flexible peripheral second portion that is substantially triangular in shape and that extends from the periphery of the central portion. To provide advantageous structural conditions, it is proposed that the clamping ribs (10) be coextruded from a flexible plastic with the mounting profile (1).

There are provided a processes for manufacturing a trim board, as well as methods for reducing and/or preventing swelling in a finger jointed pine wood and methods for reducing and/or preventing migration of tannins in a finger jointed pine wood. These processes and methods comprise applying a first layer comprising a UV curable primer sealer on a front surface of the pine wood; heat drying the first layer in the presence of UV radiation so as to at least partially cure the first layer comprising the UV curable primer sealer; applying a second layer comprising the UV curable primer sealer on a back surface of the pine wood, the second layer being thinner than the first layer; and heat drying the second layer in the presence of UV radiation so as to at least partially cure the second layer comprising the UV curable primer sealer.

A trim assembly may include a starter strip having a first fastener hem configured to receive a fastener, a starter flange extending from the first fastener hem, and a first rib extending from the starter flange. A fastener flange having a second fastener hem may be configured to receive a second fastener. The fastener flange can include a second rib extending from the second fastener hem. A trim having a first slot may be configured to receive the first rib and be mounted to the starter strip, and a second slot configured to receive the second rib and be mounted to the fastener flange.
