DEVICE FOR FASTENING A BASEBOARD TO A WALL
20170130467 · 2017-05-11 ·

A device is described for fastening a baseboard (8) to a wall (2) having a mounting profile (1) made of plastic, which forms a wall leg (3) and a receptacle web (7) for the baseboard (8), which is arranged offset transversely in relation to the wall leg (3) and has clamping ribs (10) extending in the web longitudinal direction. To provide advantageous structural conditions, it is proposed that the clamping ribs (10) be coextruded from a flexible plastic with the mounting profile (1).

A concealed slide-on molding/trim attachment method reduces the work effort and materials involved to refinish walls, ceilings, or anywhere molding/trim, henceforth called trim, is attached using the conventional nailing method. When removing the existing trim, this invention eliminates the damage to the trim, walls, and ceilings, along with the issues previously associated with the current fastening process. With this invention, refinishing or renovation of the trim, walls, ceilings or any other associated building components can be completed without damage to surrounding surfaces or the existing trim, making the trim reusable. This is a simple way to attach and detach the trim when compared to the current nailing method or use of other fasteners. During initial construction, this invention also reduces time and man-hours for installation.

A reglet may include a first base extending in a first plane. A reglet may include a first backbone integrally formed with and extending from the first base in a second plane that is substantially perpendicular to the first plane. A reglet may include a first mud flange integrally formed with and extending from the first backbone in a third plane that is substantially perpendicular to the second plane and substantially parallel to and spaced apart from the first plane. A reglet may include a second side forming an angle of between 0 and 180 degrees with the first side of the reglet, wherein the first side and the second side of the reglet are integrally formed to meet at a corner.

A device is described for fastening a ceiling profile (8) for the transition between a wall (9) and a ceiling (10) having a holder (1), which has a wall leg (2) and two holding webs (6), which engage in longitudinal grooves (7) of the ceiling profile (8). To provide simple structural conditions, it is proposed that the holder (1) forms a plastic profile having a carrying leg (3) which protrudes downward from the wall leg (2) at an acute angle, and having a support leg (4) which connects the wall leg (2) on top to the carrying leg (3), the holding legs (6) extending transversely to the wall leg (2) protrude from the carrying leg (3), and the carrying leg (3) is extended beyond the support leg (4) to form a springy catch hook (14), which interacts with a catch stop (16) of the ceiling profile (8).

A device for fastening an end strip (9) has a mounting bracket (1) forming a wall leg (3). The mounting bracket comprises a receiving web (8) that protrudes upwardly and is arranged offset transversely to the wall leg (3), and engages into a downwardly open receiving groove (10) of the end strip (9) to clampingly accommodate the end strip (9), and further comprises an elastic securing tongue (11) that is bent out of the receiving web (8) and latches into a latching recess (18) of the end strip (9). The securing tongue (11) forms a clamping web (14), which originates from the free longitudinal edge (13) of the receiving web (8) and is bent out towards the wall leg (3), and an adjoining latching web (15), which is bent back against the receiving web (8) and latches into the latching recess (18) of the end strip (9).
