A forming device for forming an adhesive composition into a ridged shape in a laying surface on which tiles are laid including: a stationary blade in which a plurality of plate-shaped tongue parts are disposed in a planar fashion and the respective base ends of the tongue parts are linearly arranged with a gap having a predetermined length therebetween; a main body which secures the stationary blade and is disposed on the stationary blade so as to be movable sideways while pressing the stationary blade from above; a storage space which is defined on the underside of the main body and on the traveling direction side of the lateral movement of the stationary blade; and a weir member which is affixed to the main body or the stationary blade so as to be movable relative to the stationary blade.

The tool enables convenient and accurate application of the binding agent and/or the filler, such as adhesive or mortar for wall panels and grout between wall panels. The tool comprises a body including a front surface, a rear surface, and a plurality of edges circumferentially extending around the body, each of the plurality of edges defining a junction of the front surface and the rear surface. One of the plurality of edges comprises a plurality of teeth extending away from the body. The teeth may comprise a flat face. One of the plurality of edges may comprise a protrusion. One or more rounded corners may be circumferentially disposed around the body between two proximal edges.

A trowel device includes a bottom plate that is connected to a top plate by a plurality of connectors. The bottom plate includes a generally rectangular-shaped member having a pair of threaded vertical posts, a first plurality of protrusions and notches along a first side, and a second plurality of protrusions and notches along the second side. The top plate includes a handle and a pair of elongated slots for receiving the pair of threaded posts. The bottom plate is secured beneath the top plate by connectors and slides sideways to selectively extend and retract the protrusions and notches from either side of the top plate. A plurality of measurement markers are provided for allowing a user to select exact amounts at which the protrusions and notches are extended outward from either side of the top plate.
