DUAL CHAMBER PATIENT INTERFACE WITH AIRFLOW REGULATION
20220409839 · 2022-12-29 ·

A patient interface may include a dual chamber cushion assembly having a nasal chamber and an oral chamber. The nasal chamber may be arranged to deliver pressurized breathable gas to a patients nasal passages, and the oral chamber may be arranged to deliver pressurized breathable gas to the patients oral passages. The nasal chamber may be pressurized to a different level than an oral chamber to promote nasal breathing. An air passage may fluidly connect the nasal chamber and the oral chamber so that pressurized breathable gas may flow from the nasal chamber to the oral chamber.

System and Method for Automated Titration of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Using an Obstruction Index
20220409834 · 2022-12-29 ·

Described is a system including an air pressure supply arrangement, a sensor and a titration device. The air pressure supply arrangement provides air pressure to a patient's airways. The sensor detects input data corresponding to a patient's breathing patterns of a plurality of breaths. The titration device receives and analyzes the input data to determine existence of breathing disorder and corresponding characteristics. The titration device generates output data for adjusting the air pressure supplied to the patient as a function of an index of abnormal respiratory events included in the input data.

Adjustable ambient air-oxygen blender

An apparatus having an adjustable ambient air-oxygen blender that adjustably mixes ambient air with an oxygen supply, especially where a size, diameter or flow rate of an orifice is mechanically adjustable so as to control a quantitative mixing function of the blender.

GAS CONDUIT FOR A RESPIRATORY SUPPORT DEVICE
20220387744 · 2022-12-08 ·

The present invention relates to a gas conduit for a respiratory support device comprising a face mask and a gas reservoir bag, said gas conduit comprising a proximal portion for fluid connection to the mask and a distal portion extending into the reservoir bag, wherein at least a side wall of said distal portion comprises one or more apertures. The present invention also relates to a respiratory support device comprising said conduit.

The adapter for an oxygen delivery device is a continuation-in-part application configured for use with a previously disclosed oxygen delivery device. The adapter for an oxygen delivery device is modified to work with a single oxygen canister. The adapter for an oxygen delivery device attaches to the single oxygen canister. The adapter for an oxygen delivery device is configured for use with the distribution apparatus of the prior disclosure. The adapter for an oxygen delivery device comprises a canister adapter and a manual flow valve. The canister adapter is a mechanical structure that offsets the distribution apparatus such that the distribution apparatus will receive oxygen from the single oxygen canister. The manual flow valve is a plunger valve that attaches to the distribution apparatus. The manual flow valve controls the flow of oxygen into the distribution apparatus from the canister adapter.

ADJUSTABLE VALVE ASSEMBLY FOR MEDICAL TUBING
20220379070 · 2022-12-01 ·

A valve assembly for adjustably regulating communication with medical tubing applied to a patient including a housing having a hollow interior and a primary connector interconnecting the medical tubing to the hollow interior. First and second ports are attached to and movable with a closure segment, concurrently and alternately, between an open orientation and a closed orientation. The concurrent and alternate disposition of the first and second ports comprising each disposed in the open orientation concurrent to the other disposed in the closed orientation. The open orientation of each of said first and second ports comprising disposition thereof in communicating relation with the medical tubing, via said hollow interior and said primary connector.

Apparatus and method for improved assisted ventilation
11511061 · 2022-11-29 · ·

Devices and methods for allowing for improved assisted ventilation of a patient. The methods and devices provide a number of benefits over conventional approaches for assisted ventilation. For example, the methods and devices described herein permit blind insertion of a device that can allow ventilation regardless of whether the device is positioned within a trachea or an esophagus. In addition, the methods and device allow for timed delivery of ventilations based on a condition of a thoracic cavity to increase the amount and efficiency of blood flow during a resuscitation procedure.

PASSIVE OXYGEN MASK VACUUM REGULATION SYSTEM
20220370748 · 2022-11-24 · ·

A passive oxygen mask and vacuum regulation system disposed in fluid communication with a vacuum scavenging array includes a passive oxygen mask dimensioned to fit over a patient's nose and mouth and having a gas inlet port and an expired gas outlet port. A vacuum regulation assembly has a vacuum regulator which includes an expired gas discharge tube disposed in fluid communication between the passive oxygen mask and the vacuum regulation assembly, and a vacuum suction tube disposed in fluid communication between the vacuum regulation assembly and the vacuum scavenging array. The vacuum regulation assembly further comprising a vacuum attenuation port through a portion of a regulator housing, wherein the vacuum attenuation port is at least partially defined by an attenuation port diameter dimensioned to reduce a vacuum suction pressure in the expired gas discharge tube to a predetermined vacuum suction pressure.

MECHANICAL VENTILATOR WITH NON-INVASIVE OPTION

A ventilator includes a bidirectional breath detection airline and a flow outlet airline. The flow outlet airline includes an airline outlet. The flow outlet airline is configured to be connected to an invasive ventilator circuit or a noninvasive ventilator circuit. The breath detection airline includes airline inlet. The airline inlet is separated from the airline outlet of the flow outlet airline. The ventilator further includes a pressure sensor in direct fluid communication with the breath detection airline. The pressure sensor is configured to measure breathing pressure from the user and generate sensor data indicative of breathing by the user. The ventilator further includes a controller in electronic communication with the pressure sensor. The controller is programmed to detect the breathing by the user based on the sensor data received from the pressure sensor.

DEVICE AND PROCESS FOR EXTENDING A VENTILATOR CIRCUIT
