A manual resuscitator regulating system for regulating the rate and volume of ventilation during manual resuscitation. The manual resuscitator regulating system may include an intake assembly configured to permit a selected volume of gas to flow into a chamber over a predetermined amount of time and/or an outtake assembly configured to permit a selected volume of gas flow out of the chamber over a predetermined amount of time. The intake assembly and/or the outtake assembly may include one or more adjustment mechanisms configured to allow a user to selectively adjust volume. The intake assembly and the outtake assembly may be configured to coordinate with one another to deliver a selected tidal volume and/or volume of gas. The manual resuscitator regulating system may include a placement indicator configured to indicate or guide a user where to squeeze or compress the chamber.

Portable System for the Production of Oxygen
20220347499 · 2022-11-03 ·

A portable oxygen generating system is provided that comprises a reaction chamber, a feed system for providing and controlling hydrogen peroxide solution to the reaction chamber, and a cooling/condensing system for cooling the hot oxygen and water vapor leaving the reactor and condensing and removing water. The portable chemical oxygen generation system produces humidified, breathable oxygen, that is substantially free of hydrogen peroxide and other contaminants, at a controlled flow and temperature over an extended period of time.

DUAL PRESSURE RESPIRATORY ASSISTANCE DEVICE

A dual pressure respiratory assistance device including a gas source which supplies a flow of gas into an air tube having a bubbler branch and a patient branch. A first tube that is connected to the bubbler branch is at least partially submerged in a fluid. An oscillatory relief valve cycles between first and second configurations. The relief valve includes an oscillating member which captures gas released through at least one hole in the first tube when the oscillating member is in a first position. The gas in the oscillating member causes the oscillating member to rise to a second position, wherein gas is released from the oscillating member and the at least one hole is blocked when the oscillating member reaches the second position.

Apparatus and Method for Delivering Fluids and/or Gases to the Lungs
20170312123 · 2017-11-02 ·

An apparatus and method for providing heat exchange in the lungs of the mammal during partial liquid ventilation are provided. The apparatus and method can control delivery and removal of partial liquid ventilation to the lungs of a mammal by responding to pressure change in the lungs to minimize danger of causing barotrauma to the patient.

STRAP MEMBER FOR A PATIENT INTERFACE

The present invention relates to a strap member (28a-c) for use in a patient interface (10) for supplying a pressurized flow of breathable gas to an airway of a patient (12), wherein the strap member (28a-c) is configured to secure the patient interface (10) to the head of the patient (12) and comprises: —a strap portion (38) having (i) a first side (40) that is configured to contact the face of the patient (12) during use, (ii) an internal chamber forming a cavity (30), and (iii) a plurality of openings (44) which are fluidly connected to the cavity (30) and arranged at the first side (40); and —a connector (32) for fluidly connecting the cavity (30) to the pressurized flow of breathable gas supplied to the airway of the patient (12).

VENTILATOR FILTER STERILIZATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20220054666 · 2022-02-24 ·

A filter sterilization system includes an expiratory filter having filter material that collects pathogens present in the exhaled gas stream from a ventilated patient. A filter sterilizer includes an ultraviolet (UV) light source that is activated by the system to emit light towards the expiratory filter. Additionally, the system includes a ventilator coupled to a patient breathing circuit that provides a gas mixture from a gas source to the ventilated patient and transfers exhaled gases of the ventilated patient to the expiratory filter.

Medical tubes for selective mechanical ventilation of the lungs
