SYSTEMS, METHODS AND ARTICLES FOR ENHANCING WELLNESS ASSOCIATED WITH HABITABLE ENVIRONMENTS
Environmental characteristics of habitable environments (e.g., hotel or motel rooms, spas, resorts, cruise boat cabins, offices, hospitals and/or homes, apartments or residences) are controlled to eliminate, reduce or ameliorate adverse or harmful aspects and introduce, increase or enhance beneficial aspects in order to improve a wellness or sense of wellbeing provided via the environments. Control of intensity and wavelength distribution of passive and active Illumination addresses various issues, symptoms or syndromes, for instance to maintain a circadian rhythm or cycle, adjust for jet lag or season affective disorder, etc. Air quality and attributes are controlled. Scent(s) may be dispersed. Hypoallergenic items (e.g., bedding, linens) may be used. Water quality is controlled. Noise is reduced and sounds (e.g., masking, music, natural) may be provided. Passive and active pathogen controls are employed. Controls are provided for the occupant and/or facility personnel, as is instruction, and surveys, including assessing wellness.
CONTROL DEVICE AND SLEEP INDUCTION DEVICE
To improve the quality of sleep. A control device includes a determiner that determines a stage of sleep of a subject on the basis of biological information on the subject, and a controller that controls a sleep induction device including a beat generator that generates a binaural beat. The controller causes the beat generator to generate a binaural beat having a frequency lower than 1.0 Hz at least in the stage of sleep of the subject.
Method and System for Generating and Providing Notifications for a Circadian Shift Protocol
A method of determining and presenting a protocol for adjusting a circadian rhythm of a user including receiving first and second indications of first and second intended circadian shifts comprising shift magnitudes, receiving first and second indications of first and second user circadian phases, defining first and second user circadian shift protocols responsive to the shift magnitude and the indication of the user circadian phase, the user circadian shift protocol comprising one or more activities scheduled to be performed at a certain date and time, the activities comprising at least one of a light exposure or light avoidance activity, a chronobiotic activity, a nutritional consumption activity, a physical activity, and a rest activity. The method may further provide indications to perform each activity on first and second user devices.
Wellness Device
A wearable device for monitoring and correcting sleep posture designed to gently alert the users when they adopt a sleep position they need to avoid. The wearable device disclosed herein comprises a light weight and comfortable housing configured to be worn by a user on his arm or shoulder, a pressure-activated trigger disposed within the housing, a battery-powered vibration unit, and audible alert unit, an intensity control mechanism, and a secure attachment mechanism for affixing the device onto the user's shoulder or arm.
Targeted Brain Rehabilitation System and Therapeutic Method for Treating Phantom Limb Syndrome
Disclosed is a system and method for administering targeted brain rehabilitation therapies in an immersive multimedia environment so as to reduce phantom limb pain and counteract cortical remapping associated with limb amputation in a patient user of the system and method. Embodiments of the solution leverage immersive extended reality environments, such as augmented (AR) and virtual (VR) reality, which may be combined with autonomous limb tracking sensors, myoelectric equipment, custom-tailored projections of a user's amputated limb(s), and a progressive therapeutic regimen based on Graded Motor Imagery (GMI) and mirror therapy, among other features and aspects.

BIOFEEDBACK USING BIO-RESONANT FREQUENCIES AND EMOTIONAL RESONANCE
Methods providing biofeedback generally comprising: correlating an emotional state with an emotional resonance signal of a person; determining a bio-resonant frequency and wave form from a segment of the emotional resonance signal; and producing a feedback signal that is a higher harmonic of the emotional resonance signal. Said feedback signal can help adjust emotional states, balance brainwave activity, forge new neuro-circuits, increase interhemispheric communication, creativity and brain-efficiency thereby improving a full spectrum of nervous system activity from hyperarousal to deep sleep.
