Weighted lap pad
A weighted lap pad comprising a base having a body-conforming configuration adapted to be placed across a lap of a seated user, the base having a plurality of channels having weights permanently enclosed within respective channels, the weights having a cumulative weight of greater than 2 pounds and a transparent window positioned at a surface of the base and in part defining a device pocket configured to receive a paper device or electronic touch screen device. The transparent window and associated pocket allowing a user to experience visual and multi-media sensation while simultaneously receiving tactile sensation of the weighted pad. The electronic device also allows for a variety of user control and sensory feedback options.
BONE CONDUCTION APPARATUS
A device for providing vestibular and somatosensory stimulation through bone conduction of sound waves to skeletal bones is provided in the form of a pad that is applied to or wrapped around the individual in treatment, which is comfortable in use and may contain particulate filler material capable of providing bone conduction stimulation adjacent to the location of a bone conduction transducer and expand the sound conduction site over a larger area. The device may be located beneath a pillow or mattress.
Nasal mask with aromatic dispenser
A mask includes a body having an interior surface defining a cavity shaped to receive a user's nose. An exterior surface of the body is exposed to an ambient environment. The body includes an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity and a one-way exhaust valve in fluid communication between the cavity and the ambient environment. A therapeutic substance dispenser is in fluid communication with the cavity. In one embodiment, a nasal aromatic decongestant is disposed in the therapeutic dispenser. A mask includes an upper nasal cavity separate from a lower oral cavity, with an inlet in fluid communication with only the upper nasal cavity. A medicament delivery assembly, and methods for the use thereof, are also provided.
METHOD FOR CHARACTERIZING AN OLFACTORY STIMULATION
A method for characterizing an olfactory stimulation, including visual stimulation steps each associated with a theme and first steps of recording physiological variables carried out continuously during a first visual stimulation step, so as to obtain first physiological recordings, each first physiological recording being associated with the theme associated with the first visual stimulation step, a second olfactory stimulation step, a second step of recording values of physiological variables carried out continuously during and after the second olfactory stimulation step to obtain a second physiological recording, a step of comparing the first physiological recordings with the second physiological recording to isolate a first physiological recording close to the second physiological recording, and a step of determining a theme associated with the first physiological recording which is isolated during the comparing step.
Patch system for monitoring and enhancing sleep and circadian rhythm alignment
Disclosed are novel compositions, devices, patches, systems and methods that are useful for estimating, determining, modulating and/or improving the sleep/wake and/or circadian phase of a subject (e.g., a human subject) by the dispensing of measured quantities of agents to a subject or into an environment of the subject and the continuous monitoring and/or tracking of the subject's consciousness (e.g., sleep/wake) patterns. In certain aspects, the compositions, devices, patches, systems and methods disclosed herein are capable of delivering one or more agents to a subject in response to measured consciousness patterns estimations and circadian phase estimations, thereby aligning the subject's circadian biology to the external environment and improving the quality and duration of sleep.
Electronic sensory simulation system
An electronic sensory simulation system including a display screen that simulates visual images or videos with a smell and audio simultaneously. The device effectively includes an electronic sensory simulation system with a docking station that may allow the system to be portable. The electronic sensory simulation system may include a sensory unit assembly which includes a display screen, at least one speaker, at least one scent diffusing mechanism, a user interface, and an input port. The electronic sensory simulation system may further have a docking station so that the sensory unit assembly can be portable or used in a fixed location.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL AROMATHERAPY MACHINE
The present invention provides a multifunctional aromatherapy machine, including a water tank and a pedestal, wherein an aluminum ring is arranged between the water tank and the pedestal, and a circuit board, an atomizing sheet and an atomizing sheet pressing plate are arranged on the pedestal; the circuit board includes a control circuit, a power interface, a timing indicator lamp and a foglight knob are arranged on an outer side wall of the pedestal respectively, and a chassis induces the power interface. The multifunctional aromatherapy machine provided by the present invention has the characteristics of diversified functions, capability of controlling a plurality of functions with one key, convenience in use, low cost, convenience in maintenance and the like.
METHOD AND SYSTEM OF SLEEP MAINTENANCE
A method and system of sleep maintenance includes configuring a stimulation device comprising a transducer to emit a transcutaneous vibratory output to a body part of a subject, receiving physiological data of the subject from at least one sensor at a processor, providing a stimulation pattern for the transcutaneous vibratory output to be emitted by the transducer, the stimulation pattern comprising a perceived pitch, a perceived beat, and an intensity of the transcutaneous vibratory output, causing the transducer to emit the transcutaneous vibratory output in the stimulation pattern, determining a sleep state of the subject based on the physiological data, and altering the stimulation pattern based on the sleep state, wherein altering comprises at least one of (i) reducing a frequency of the perceived pitch, (ii) increasing an interval of the perceived beat, or (iii) reducing the intensity.
SIGNAL PROCESSING SYSTEM, SENSOR SYSTEM, BIOMETRIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM, SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A signal processing system includes an expiratory information acquisition unit and a nerve recognition uni. The expiratory information acquisition unit acquires expiratory information as a piece of biometric information about a person's expiratory volume. The nerve recognition unit recognizes, based on a dispersion in the expiratory information, a condition of the person's autonomic nervous system.
SOUND SOURCE CONTROL DEVICE AND SOUND SOURCE CONTROL METHOD
For the purpose of improving sleep satisfaction for different human subjects individually, a sound source control device (20) includes: an acquirer (202) configured to acquire a biorhythm of a human subject; an estimator (204) configured to estimate sleep depths of the human subject from the acquired biorhythm of the human subject; a controller (230) configured to control a sound source (240) to play a sound in accordance with the acquired biorhythm of the human subject, the sound being defined using a prescribed parameter set; and an evaluator (220) configured to evaluate a sleep state of the human subject based on the estimated sleep depths of the human subject, and based on the evaluation, instruct the controller (230) to change at least a part of contents of the parameter set.
