Folding handrail for work vehicle
10293755 · 2019-05-21 · ·

A handrail system for a work vehicle has a handrail including a first rail member configured to extend in first direction and a second rail member coupled to the first rail member and configured to extend in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The handrail system also has a fold structure configured to couple the handrail to the work vehicle and move the handrail between an upright position and a folded position with respect to the work vehicle. When in the folded position, the handrail has a support surface that is elevated along a central area of the handrail higher than at least one side of the handrail.

Collapsible safety barrier and support post
10184256 · 2019-01-22 ·

A collapsible safety barrier and support post for releasably securing between a ceiling structure and a floor structure. The safety barrier and support post comprises a plurality of longitudinal rails hingedly secured to a first end post and to a second end post, an extension rail releasably engageable with the second end post, and a latching mechanism to releasably secure the extension rail to the second end post. The safety barrier has a deployed position and a collapsed position. When in its deployed position the barrier is secured between a floor and a ceiling structure. When in its collapsed position the longitudinal rails, the first and second end posts, and the extension rail are positioned generally parallel and adjacent to one another.

Handrail hinge

A hinge for a handrail requires two distinct movements for activation: an axial movement, followed by a rotational movement. The requirement for axial movement acts as a releasable lock on the hinge.

AUTOMATED SAFETY RAIL SYSTEM

An automated safety rail system for use on an elevated surface or for temporarily blocking off a restricted area, the automated safety rail system broadly includes primary support structures, horizontally extending support structures, an actuator for shifting the support structures between a disengaged and an engaged configuration, and an electronic control system.

RAILING SYSTEM

A railing system having a number of spaced apart support bases and a railing is provided. The railing includes a number of vertically extending stanchions connected to the support bases and a number of horizontally extending members extending between the vertically extending stanchions. The railing is configured to be shifted relative to the support bases between a stored position and an erected position. The railing is automatically secured in the erected position when the railing is shifted from the stored position to the erected position.

VERTICALLY RAISING SAFETY RAIL WITH DUAL SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR RAIL ARM BEARING
20180135307 · 2018-05-17 ·

A vertical raising safety rail with dual support structure for rail arm bearing. The safety rail includes lower linkage arm assemblies that are connected to a base and to a center rail assembly and configured to raise or lower the center rail assembly relative to the base when a rotational force is applied to the drive shaft. The safety rail also includes upper linkage arm assemblies that are connected to the center rail assembly and to a top rail. The upper linkage arm assemblies are connected to corresponding lower linkage assemblies and are configured to move the top rail relative to the center rail assembly. When the top rail is raised, one or more safety curtains are unfurled from a take-up roller inside the top rail to provide a safety curtain in the vertical plane of the safety rail. Each rail arm assembly includes a dual support structure for supporting a bearing axle.

The present invention relates to a lightweight mobile barrier system which can be carried on a shoulder and designed for blocking areas from human access, such as elevator entrances when maintenance is being performed. The barrier system is formed of interlocking panels which are scalable in size to fit area to be blocked and easily fits in service vehicles.

VERTICALLY RAISING SAFETY RAIL
20170356202 · 2017-12-14 ·

A vertical raising safety rail having a moveable top rail, a base, a movable center rail assembly positioned above the base and below the top rail, a drive shaft, and a motor that provides rotational power to the drive shaft. The safety rail further includes a pair of spaced apart lower linkage arm assemblies that is operatively connected to the base and to the center rail assembly and configured to raise or lower the center rail assembly relative to the base when a rotational force is applied to the drive shaft. The safety rail also includes a pair of spaced apart upper linkage arm assemblies that is operably connected to the center rail assembly and to the top rail. The upper linkage aim assemblies are operably connected to corresponding lower linkage assemblies and are configured to move the upper rail relative to the center rail assembly. When the rotational force is reversed, the safely rail collapses into a compact footprint.

Folding guard rail method and apparatus

The present invention is for a safety guard rail system having folding guard rails designed to be raised or lowered at their base by a single individual from an acceptable safe distance from the edge of a precipice, such as the edge of a building roof. A sliding sleeve hinge lock locks each folding rail in an erect position and can be remotely unlocked for folding the rail. An elongated grappling tool has a hook-like end for grabbing the sliding sleeve hinge lock handle for locking and unlocking the hinge lock from a distance when erecting or folding a guard rail.
