Methods and apparatuses for transdermal stimulation of the outer ear
Transdermal electrical stimulation (TES) applicators that are wearable and configured to attached to a subject's pinna (ear) and adapted to apply TES to modulate the subject's cognitive and/or physiological state. These apparatuses may be configured so that they can be worn against the ear (e.g., the cymba of the ear) to deliver TES. Also described herein are methods of using them to modulate a subject's cognitive state. These TES applicators may also be adapted to function as audio headphones for concurrent delivery of TES and audible signals (e.g., music).
MASSAGE DEVICE PROVIDING TINNITUS TREATMENT PROGRAM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a massage device providing a tinnitus treatment program and a control method therefor. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, disclosed is a method by which a massage device provides a tinnitus treatment program. The method by which the massage device provides the tinnitus treatment program comprises the steps of: obtaining tinnitus information about a user; adjusting the magnitude of at least some of a plurality of frequency components included in a raw sound source and then flattening the raw sound source, so as to generate a first processed sound source; reducing the magnitude of at least some of a plurality of frequency components included in the first processed sound source on the basis of the obtained tinnitus information, so as to generate a tinnitus treatment sound source; and providing a tinnitus treatment program in which the generated tinnitus treatment sound source and tinnitus treatment massage are combined.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ENHANCING SLEEP PATTERNS
Systems and methods for enhancing wellness in a habitable space are provided. In some forms, an example system for enhancing wellness in a habitable space includes a control system having a processor, communication circuitry, and a memory. The communication circuitry of the control system is configured to communicate with one or more devices positioned within the habitable space. One or more sensors may also be positioned proximate the habitable space to detect indicia (e.g., biometric characteristics of a user, behavioral characteristics of a user, and environmental characteristics) and communicate the detected indicia to the control system. Based at least in part on the detected indicia, the control system is configured to trigger initiation of a scene in the habitable space by communicating a signal to at least one of the devices in the habitable space to adjust operation thereof.
DEVICE PROVIDING NEUROTHERAPEUTIC INTERVENTION VIA MULTI-MODAL ENERGY THERAPY
The present invention relates generally to a device for providing multi-modal energy therapy to treat neurogenerative disorders, and more particularly to a device providing multi-modal neuro-supportive energy therapy to a person via a daily session in a single facility. The device provides safe, well studied energy therapies in a controlled manner to stimulate neuronal mitochondrial activity which powers the brains neurons and is often defective in neurodegenerative disease states. Selected energy delivery mechanisms and frequencies are employed to stabilize microglial activity and promote microglial homeostasis and neuroprotective secretions, including mitochondrial melatonin and other neuroprotective factors. In addition to practicality, the combination of these proven therapeutic modalities into a single device may offer synergies not found when they are employed alone. This focused combination of these unique energy based therapies may offer new hope to slow, stop, reverse or mitigate neurogenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's, ALS and Parkinson's diseases.
Multifunction sleep training device with remote locking mechanism and methods of operation thereof
A sleep training device is disclosed comprising certain electronic components, audio components, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), physical switches, a capacitive touch component, or a combination thereof. The sleep training device can have a housing configured to house the electronic components, the audio components, the LEDs, the capacitive touch component, and at least part of the physical switches. The sleep training device can receive an instruction to schedule a sleep program based on a set parameter from another device in wireless communication with the sleep training device, initiate the sleep program once the set parameter is met, and disable at least one of the physical switches and the capacitive touch component when the sleep program is initiated.
Sleep assessment system, massage system, control method, and electronic device
A sleep assessment system includes a blood flow measurement unit and a assessment unit. The blood flow measurement unit acquires first information related to the blood flow of the user. The assessment unit determines the sleep stage of the user based on the first biological information.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING SEGMENTS OF MUSIC HAVING CHARACTERISTICS SUITABLE FOR INDUCING AUTONOMIC PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSES
Systems and methods for identifying the most impactful moments or segments of music, which are those most likely to elicit a chills effect in a human listener. A digital music signal is processed using two or more objective processing metrics that measure acoustic features known to be able to elicit the chills effect. Individual detection events are identified in the output of each metric based on the output being above or below thresholds relative to the overall output. A combination algorithm aggregates concurrent detection events to generate a continuous concurrence data set of the number of concurrent detection events during the music signal, which can be calculated per beat. A phrase detection algorithm can identify impactful segments of the music based on at least one of peaks, peak-proximity, and a moving average of the continuous concurrence data.
COGNITIVE PLATFORM FOR DERIVING EFFORT METRIC FOR OPTIMIZING COGNITIVE TREATMENT
Adaptive modification and presentment of user interface elements in a computerized therapeutic treatment regimen. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for non-linear computational analysis of cData and nData derived from user interactions with a mobile electronic device executing an instance of a computerized therapeutic treatment regimen. The cData and nData may be computed according to one or more artificial neural network or deep learning technique to derive patterns between computerized stimuli or interactions and sensor data. Patterns derived from analysis of the cData and nData may be used to define an effort metric associated with user input patterns in response to the computerized stimuli or interactions being indicative of a measure of user engagement or effort. A computational model or rules engine may be applied to adapt, modify, configure or present one or more graphical user interface elements in a subsequent instance of the computerized therapeutic treatment regimen.
Method for delivering a digital therapy responsive to a user's physiological state at a sensory immersion vessel
One variation of a method for delivering a digital medicine experience to a user includes: loading the digital medicine experience at a sensory immersion vessel; calculating a target value of a bioindicator of the physiological state of the user, the target value of the bioindicator corresponding to a target physiological state of the user; at an initial time, rendering sensory representations of a set of elements in a multi-sensory virtual environment within the sensory immersion vessel at an initial progression rate; at a time during the digital medicine experience, succeeding the initial time, measuring a value of the bioindicator; calculating a progression rate through the digital medicine experience based on a difference between the value of the bioindicator and the target value of the bioindicator; and at a second time succeeding the time, rendering sensory representations of the set of elements in the multi-sensory virtual environment at the progression rate.
