20210002914 · 2021-01-07 ·

A reconfigurable vacuum attachment may include a bell-shaped housing. The bell-shaped housing may have a bell-opening and a hose-interface. The hose-interface may be configured to hydraulically couple with a vacuum hose. A skimmer-plate may be attachable to the bell-opening and include a skimmer-aperture extending through the skimmer-plate. The reconfigurable vacuum attachment may further include a removable brush assembly. The brush assembly may host a rotatable brush coupled to a brush driver. The brush driver may be configured to hydraulically couple with the vacuum hose and convert water flow into a torque and spin the bristles. A buoy may be attached to the housing allowing the reconfigurable vacuum attachment to be used as a pool skimmer. The reconfigurable vacuum attachment is useful for skimming a pool surface and dislodging and vacuuming matter from a pool wall.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF OPERATING AUTOMATIC SWIMMING POOL CLEANERS

A swimming pool cleaner may include motive elements intentionally driven in an unbalanced manner. This unbalanced driving may allow a cleaner to maintain contact with (hug) walls of a pool, allowing the cleaner to, e.g., obtain information allowing mapping of the pool perimeter.

Portable pool cleaner and method therefor

A pool cleaner for cleaning a swimming pool has a vacuum head having an intake nozzle drawing in fluid. A body chamber is coupled to the intake nozzle and has an intake end and a discharge end. A pump is housed within the body chamber drawing fluid from the intake end and expelling the fluid through the discharge end. A filter is placed within the body chamber filtering out particulates from the fluid drawn into the body chamber. A battery pack is located remote from the pool cleaner and wearable by a user of the pool cleaner. A power cord couples the battery pack to the pump. The power cord being electrically connected to the pump by a waterproof connector.

PORTABLE SIPHON EFFECT VACUUM CLEANING DEVICE FOR LIQUID FILLED VESSELS
20200399921 · 2020-12-24 ·

The present invention is a portable siphon effect vacuum cleaning device for the collection and removal of debris from liquid filled vessels. The invention comprises a handle structure to grip and control the invention in combination with at least one priming conduit and associated liquid communication path to direct the flow of liquid and debris to a desired discharge location, where priming conduit includes a suction end, discharge end, and a restricting valve positioned between, and through the action of gripping the handle and pushing and pulling in the axial direction, one can incrementally fill the liquid communication path until a continuous siphon flow of liquid begins, in turn realizing the benefits of creating a continuous flow of liquid to provide a continuous suction effect for continuous collection and expulsion of debris without any need for continual manual or powered pumping of that liquid.

Drive module for submersible autonomous vehicle

A drive module for submersible autonomous vehicles is disclosed. The drive module includes a propulsion element configured to engage and rotate against a surface, a motor configured to drive the propulsion element, and a controller configured to cause the motor to drive the propulsion element. The drive module also includes a housing configured to be removably, releasably coupled to the exterior of a submersible autonomous vehicle. The motor and the controller are disposed within the housing.

Enhanced filter door

A filter door for an autonomous, submersible vehicle is disclosed. The filter door includes a living hinge that biases the panel to a closed position. The living hinge may be provided by mesh that extends beyond the periphery of a panel to create a living hinge. The mesh may also prevent dirt and debris from entering or escaping around a pivot edge of the panel. This increases the life span of the filter door and the cleaning efficiency of the autonomous, submersible vehicle.

A liquid-submersible vacuum system includes a housing canister enclosing a filtration element and a water pump. Power comes from a power converter that plugs into a standard AC power supply. The vacuum system further includes a diffuser cap and a discharge hose cap, with each providing the vacuum system with a discrete mode of operation

Pool cleaner with diaphragm cassette unit and retention mechanism

A pool cleaner comprises a body, a diaphragm cassette unit arranged inside the body, and a retention mechanism mounted on the body. The body extends between a water connection end and foot end, a foot end opening being defined at the foot end. The diaphragm cassette unit is arranged inside the body and includes a cassette extending to the foot end and a flexible diaphragm inside the cassette also extending to the foot end. The retention mechanism is mounted on the body and is operable to allow removal and reinstallation of the diaphragm cassette unit through the foot end opening.

SWIMMING POOL VACUUM

A self-contained electrically powered and fully submersible swimming pool vacuum includes a vacuum head having a housing with an elongate vacuum mouth at a bottom end, a discharge opening at an opposite top end and a thrust channel extending therebetween. An electrically powered motor is supported within the thrust channel and drives a propeller to create a thrust through the housing from the vacuum mouth through the thrust channel and out from the discharge opening. A catch bag is removably secured to the top discharge opening for collecting debris sucked through the vacuum mouth. The vacuum includes an onboard power supply, a smart power switch for driving the motor at different speeds and for detecting and clearing motor jams, all contained within a watertight housing fixed to an outer side of the vacuum housing. In one embodiment, the onboard power supply is a lithium ion rechargeable battery.
