Communication of parent physiological data to infant
Communication of parent physiological data to an infant may include a first interface device which includes a sensor to record physiological data associated with a heartbeat of a parent, a processor to receive the physiological data from the sensor, and a transceiver; a server which receives the physiological data from the transceiver, accesses an instance of the physiological data from a replay storage location during a loss of communication, assigns a unique identifier, processes the physiological data, modifies the physiological data to be within an allowable threshold or accesses physiological data within the allowable threshold when the physiological data is outside an allowable threshold, filters the physiological data to apply an effect, and transmits the physiological data based on the unique identifier; and a second interface device which includes a transceiver to receive the physiological data and a communication element to communicate the physiological data to the infant.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CALMING A BABY IN AN INTERIOR OF A VEHICLE
An apparatus for calming a baby in an interior of a vehicle has a heartbeat sensor device (11, 12, 13) configured to capture a heartbeat input signal that depends on the heartbeat of an occupant in an interior (18) of a vehicle (10). A heartbeat signal processing device (14) is configured to produce a heartbeat output signal that depends on the heartbeat input signal. A calming signal output device (15, 16, 17) is configured to output a calming signal that depends on the heartbeat output signal and that is perceivable by a baby in the interior (19) of the vehicle (10). The apparatus is to configured to output the calming signal, at least intermittently, directly during the capture of the heartbeat input signal.
Media content system for enhancing rest
A media-playback device acquires a heart rate, selects a song with a first tempo, and initiates playback of the song. The song meets a set of qualification criteria and the first tempo is based on the heart rate, such as being equal to or less than the heart rate. The media-playback device also initiates playback of a binaural beat at a first frequency. Over a period of time, the binaural beat's first frequency is changed to a second frequency. Over the period of time, the first tempo can also be changed to a second tempo, where the second tempo is slower than the first tempo.
APPARATUS FOR INDUCING ACTIVITY OF USER'S AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
A method for inducing an activity of a user's autonomic nervous system is provided. The method includes steps of: (a) on condition that each of the user's reference heart rate information corresponding to each of active states of the user's autonomic nervous system is obtained, an inducing device, if a specific active state of the autonomic nervous system is selected by the user, acquiring first reference heart rate information of the user corresponding to the specific active state of the autonomic nervous system; and (b) the inducing device supporting a first vibration stimulus with a first period corresponding to the first reference heart rate information to be applied to the user, to thereby allow the user's real-time average cardiac interval to be synchronized with the first vibration stimulus.
Vibrating and Sound Baby Mat
A vibrating and sound baby mat is an apparatus that effectively comforts an infant. The apparatus includes a plurality of covers, a reinforcing pad, a recorder, a speaker, a vibrating unit, a control panel, and a processing unit. The plurality of covers protects the reinforcing pad, the vibrating unit, and the processing unit from getting damaged. The reinforcing pad upholds and supports an infant. The recorder detects a sound, preferably a heartbeat, and the speaker continuously emits the detected sound. Similarly, the vibrating unit emits vibrations based on the detected sound. In order to better represent the sound, the apparatus may further include an electrocardiogram module and a plurality of electrocardiogram sensors. The control panel engages and controls the recorder, the speaker, the vibrating unit, and the electrocardiogram module. The processing unit allows the recorder, the speaker, the vibrating unit, and the electrocardiogram module to communicate with each other.
Children's product with synchronized sound and non-sound output
A children's soothing device, such as a motorized swing, a motorized glider, a motorized rocker, a motorized bouncer, a playard, a crib, a car seat, a stroller, an infant carrier, or a bassinet, can include one or more speakers, one or more vibrating motors or solenoids, and one or more light attractions or lights for soothing a child. The children's soothing device can include a control system for storing and reading sound and other data files to output music or other sounds through the speakers and to activate and deactivate the vibrating motors in a synchronized pattern with the sound or music. The children's soother device can also evaluate the sound and other data files to synchronize the activation, deactivation, and/or change of state of the light attraction or lights with the sound/music and the vibrating motors.
TRANQUILIZING SYSTEM USING HEART RATE VARIABILITY TO SIMULATE PRESENCE, SOOTHE ANXIETY, AND PROMOTE SYMPATHOVAGAL BALANCE
A heart rate variability collection and transmission system for simulation of presence, soothing and vasovagal balance includes a variety of possible means of collection, storage, and transmissibility. Each means of collection senses subtle variation of heart rate. Storage is via a computerized data file and consists of time intervals from the collected source. Time intervals are used as instructions to perform an action such as activating a haptic motor, audio file or transducer at that collected rate. Transmission of action is wireless or direct (wired). The motor, transducer, or audio-file is activated at the collected rate. The effect is achieved.
Infant Mattress Assembly
An infant mattress assembly includes a box spring that is positionable on a bed frame for supporting the box spring above a floor. A mattress is attached to the box spring and an air chamber is integrated within the mattress. A plurality of vibration units is each attached to the mattress thereby facilitating the plurality of vibration units to vibrate air within the air chamber to soothe the child sleeping on the mattress. A heating element is integrated into the mattress for heating the mattress when the heating element is turned on to warm the child. A control unit is integrated into the box spring and the control unit is in remote communication with a personal electronic device thereby facilitating the personal electronic device to remotely control the vibration and the heating element.
Earphones for Measuring and Entraining Respiration
An earphone includes a loudspeaker, a microphone, a housing supporting the loudspeaker and microphone, and an ear tip surrounding the housing and configured to acoustically couple both the loudspeaker and the microphone to an ear canal of a user, and to acoustically close the entrance to the user's ear canal. A processor receives input audio signals from the microphone, detects peaks having a frequency of around 1 Hz in the input audio signals, based on the detected peaks, computes an instantaneous heart rate, measures a frequency of an oscillation within the instantaneous heart rate, and based on the frequency of the oscillation, computes a rate of respiration.
