A combined tent and tent canopy for use with motor vehicles is disclosed. The combined tent and tent canopy includes a tent structure formed using a plurality of flexible poles; a tent cover section that is attached to the plurality of flexible poles; and at least one extendable cover canopy sleeve section extending from the top and sides of the tent cover section. The extended canopy sleeve sections are configured to be connectable to a motor vehicle and thereby provide a covered connection to the motor vehicle. As used in connection with a sport utility vehicle or a mini-van, the combined tent and tent canopy provides a covered extension to the interior of the vehicle. The combined tent and tent canopy further incorporates a plurality of tie-down lines to anchor the tent and canopy to the ground and/or to the vehicle, to secure the tent and tent canopy structure.

A first sidewall includes an opening having an inflatable door, wherein the door is removably secured to a perimeter of the opening via a fastener. A panel is disposed within the interior volume of the base, wherein the panel includes a heating and cooling element that is operably connected to a power source and a thermostat. The thermostat selectively actuates the heating and cooling element, such that an internal temperature of the tent can be set by a user.

First ends of the second and third stand poles are rotatably connected by the second connecting base. The second and third stand poles are rotatable. The third stand pole is rotatably connected to a fourth stand pole to form a scissor-type structure. In the unfolded position, arch shapes are formed and the poles are separated.

A connector includes first and second side walls spaced apart in a first direction to form a groove along a second direction for receiving an upper pole. It also includes first upper and lower lugs spaced apart in a third direction to form a first slot for receiving a first side pole, and second upper and lower lugs spaced apart in the third direction to form a second slot for receiving a second side pole. The upper pole is rotatable in a plane limited by the first and second side walls. The first or second side pole is rotatable in a plane limited by the first or second upper and lower lugs.

A foldable tent includes a tent cloth, a plurality of support frame poles to support the tent cloth, and a tent top supporting device. The tent top supporting device includes a cover, a plurality of connection sleeves, and a plurality of inwardly concave recesses. The plurality of inwardly concave recesses is disposed at a peripheral side of the cover. Each recess includes a first side wall and a second side wall disposed on two sides of the recess, and an inner side wall adjacent a center of the cover. Each respective connection sleeve is flippably or rotatably disposed in a corresponding recess, and has one end connected to an end of a corresponding support frame pole. When the foldable tent is unfolded, a side wall of the other end of the corresponding connection sleeve comes into contact and matches with the inner side wall of the corresponding recess.

Disclosed are tent frames and tents. A tent frame includes first and second top poles, first and second connectors, and a locking mechanism. Each of the first and second top poles has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first connector is fixedly coupled to the first end portion of the first top pole, and slidably coupled to and movable along the second pole. The second connector is fixedly coupled to the first end portion of the second top pole, and slidably coupled to and movable along the first top pole. The locking mechanism selectively restricts the first and second top poles from moving with respect to each other.

The tent body may include a first portion configured to be substantially enclosed within the bed of the pickup truck in an as-used mode of the tent apparatus, and a second portion that extends from the first portion such that the second portion is exposed to an environment above a bed of a pickup truck in the as-used mode. The frame may be integrally coupled to the tent body, and configured to articulate between a closed position and an open position. The frame may comprise a central hub coupled to the tent body at a central coupling point; and support members that extend from the central hub to coupling points on the tent body to integrate the frame with the tent body.
