The present invention comprises a brace adapted to secure a fence rail to a fence post. The present invention brace may optionally be installed onto an existing fence or on a new fence. The invention includes a first fence rail brace member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a first fence rail, a second fence rail brace member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a second fence rail, and a fence post member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a fence post. The fence post brace member may form a vertical picket fastener slot, the first fence rail brace member may form a first horizontal picket fastener slot, and the second fence rail brace member may form a second horizontal picket fastener slot.

The invention includes a fence post brace member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a fence post and a fence rail brace member adapted to connect to two or more sides of a fence rail. The fence post brace member may form a vertical picket fastener slot for use in affixing a picket to the fence post. The fence post brace system may be adapted for use with one or more fence posts positioned on a slope.

A fence system with a gate assembly mounted in a gap between first and second fence portions of the fence system. The gate assembly can be mounted directly to a post of the first or second fence portions without being mounted to pickets or backer rails of the fence portions. A hinge may be used to mount the gate assembly, where the hinge has a clamp fixed to a support which is fixed to a first member of the hinge. A second member of the hinge can be mounted to the gate assembly with the first and second members being rotatably fixed together, thereby allowing rotation of the gate assembly between open, closed, and various other positions.

A portable residential fence system with a lower post surround assembly, a middle post surround assembly and an upper post surround assembly. Each assembly is made of four adjoining strips. The lower and middle surround assemblies are attached to each other by angled joining strips. The lower post strips include extension brackets that are flat to the ground. The lower and upper surround strips include apertures that allow bolts to extend horizontally to attach fencing to the post. Stakes can be driven through apertures in the lower assembly extension brackets and into the ground so that a fence post can be held in an upright position without the need for cement footings or other holding methods that are not portable. The surround strips and joining strips are all made of rigid material such as metal or glass filled plastic.

A barrier is formed from a framework of posts and rails. Infill sections cover openings in the framework. Post brackets connect posts to rails. Each post bracket includes a collar and an attached holder. The collar is positioned over a post and lowered to a level where a rail is to be attached. The rail is secured within the holder. The holder and the collar are relatively rotatable. Adjacent rails in the barrier are interconnected end-to-end by adapters plugged into the hollow end of each rail. The adapters overlap, and are pinned together, permitting relative rotation between rails. Relative rotation of components permits barrier slope adjustment. Exposed vertical lateral edges of infill sections are covered by an elongate edge protection band having a central ridge and a pair of side recesses. An exposed edge portion of an infill section is received within the recess and clamped against the framework.

A system of fence components includes fence posts, fence rails having cavities formed in their ends, and fence rail inserts sized to be positioned within the fence rail cavities. The fence rail inserts and the fence rail cavities include corresponding mating features to allow the fence rail inserts to be positioned and locked within the fence rail cavities. The fence rail inserts also include fastener guides that allow a fastener to pass through to couple the fence rail inserts to the fence posts.
