Protective barriers and related methods
Protective barriers for protecting assets (e.g., electrical power transformers and other substation components). The protective barrier may include a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion may include first and second laterally spaced A-frame structures having a first protective member assembly extending between aligned legs of the respective A-frame structures on one side thereof. The first protective member assembly may include a first plurality of substantially horizontally extending protective members oriented at an angle relative to a horizontal plane. The first and second A-frame structures may have a second protective member assembly extending between aligned legs of the respective A-frame structures on an opposing side thereof. The upper portion may comprise a third protective member assembly. Methods of making a protective barrier are also disclosed.
TOOL-LESS RELEASE ANIMAL SAFETY BARRIERS
Apparatus and methods disclosed herein relate to modular safety barrier panels with individually releasable barrier members. The barrier panel may, for example, include horizontal rails. The rails may, for example, each include a respective array of spatially distributed apertures. An array of barrier members may, for example, each be disposed through a corresponding aperture in the upper rail and into a corresponding aperture in the lower rail. One or more of the barrier members may, for example, also pass through an aperture of at least one coupling member. A selectively operated closure member may, in a locked mode, prevent removal of the barrier member out of the apertures. Various embodiments may advantageously provide rapid and tool-less assembly of a modular fence panel for livestock and/or release of one or more members of the modular fence panel.
ENHANCED SECURITY FENCE AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION
An enhanced security fence for use in high security situations is provided. The fence is made of high strength materials that are preferably welded together in a convenient location and sent as prefabricated sections to the installation location to form an all welded bracket-less perimeter barrier fence system. Posts with section hangers are provided and installed at a perimeter, and the prefabricated panels are quickly and securely attached to the posts. The panels can be friction fit to the posts and, if desired welded thereto. The invention includes a method of creating an enhanced security fence, that includes prefabrication of panels and rapid fitting and securing the panels to posts to more quickly create a secure perimeter in places having difficult environments.
Panoramic fencing
Panoramic fencing includes features that impart a dynamic appearance to fencing.
FENCE PANEL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A fence panel can include a plurality of modular fence panel components that can be assembled modularly to form the fence panel. The fence panel components can include a system of keys and keyways that allow the components to interlock with one another when the fence panel is assembled to lock the components to one another to simplify the assembly process and to minimize the number of mechanical fasteners needed to assemble the fence panel.
The first and second A-frame structure may have a second protective member assembly extending between aligned legs of the respective A-frame structures on an opposing side thereof. The upper portion may comprise a third protective member assembly. Methods of making a protective are also disclosed.
PANORAMIC FENCING
Panoramic fencing includes features that impart a dynamic appearance to fencing.
Animal proof fence
An animal proof fence (1) comprising one or several panel elements (2) which are provided to extend upright to form a barrier, wherein the fence (1) comprises an upper zone (A) wherein at the height of the upper zone (A) the one or several panel elements (2) comprise a smooth unperforated surface on which reptiles, such as snakes, amphibians and small mammals cannot climb and a lower zone (B) wherein at the height of the lower zone (B) the one or several panel elements (2) comprise perforations allowing view through the fence (1).
ANIMAL PROOF FENCE
An animal proof fence (1) comprising one or several panel elements (2) which are provided to extend upright to form a barrier, wherein the fence (l) comprises an upper zone (A) wherein at the height of the upper zone (A) the one or several panel elements (2) comprise a smooth unperforated surface on which reptiles, such as snakes, amphibians and small mammals cannot climb and a lower zone (B) wherein at the height of the lower zone (B) the one or several panel elements (2) comprise perforations allowing view through the fence (1).
STACKABLE SPACERS FOR INFILL
A fence system that provides a platform that allows for construction of various configurations. The system includes a section of fence having first and second uprights and an upper and a lower rail that span between the uprights. First and second end brackets are affixed to the uprights for receiving a plurality of horizontal panels. Spacers may be located within the end brackets to selectively space the horizontal members as desired or may be located within upper and lower rails to selectively space the vertical members as desired. Spacer combinations can vary an amount of spacing between horizontal or vertical panels. Advantages include versatility, i.e., an ability to easily install spacers, either alone, or in stackable combination with other spacers to easily construct a fence having horizontal or vertical segments that are separated by a desired amount.
