SLEEP PATTERN OPTIMIZATION
Systems methods are described for modifying sleep patterns based on biofeedback. The method may include identifying a target sleep pattern from a plurality of candidate sleep patterns, receiving biofeedback information from a user, identifying a stimulus pattern based on the target sleep pattern and the biofeedback information, and providing at least one stimulus to the user based on the stimulus pattern.
MIGRAINE TREATMENT PREPARATION AND METHOD
A method of ameliorating a migraine utilizing a frozen caffeinated comestible, the method constituted of: a) abutting a portion of the frozen caffeinated comestible to a user palate for at least 5 seconds; b) detaching the abutted portion from the user palate for a detachment period; and c) continuously repeating steps a-b until at least 70 milligrams of caffeine from the frozen caffeinated comestible have been consumed over a total period of at least 4 minutes.
DEVICE, METHOD, AND APP FOR FACILITATING SLEEP
A device, system, and method for facilitating a sleep cycle in a subject, comprising selecting a waveform from a plurality of waveforms derived from brainwaves of at least one sleeping donor, wherein said waveform corresponds to at least one specific stage of sleep; and stimulating the subject with at least one stimulus, wherein said at least one stimulus is at least one of an auditory stimulus and a visual stimulus modulated with the selected waveform to entrain the brain of the subject with the selected waveform to facilitate sleep in the subject.
Intelligent pharmaceutical delivery system with non-concentric pumping mechanism to reduce flow anomaly and method of using
The present invention relates to the titration and delivery of anesthetic and sedative medications to a subject. Further, the present invention relates to a device and methods for titrating and delivering such medications in a semi-automated or fully automated manner and which can be monitoring and controlled remotely. Even still further, the present invention relates to such a device that can perform the titration and delivery of medication in a manner that minimalizes occlusion and prevents back flow of the medication. More particularly, the present invention relates to a device for titration and delivery of medication using a non-concentric pumping mechanism that gradual or progressively increases and decreases occlusion in the medication delivery line within the pump to minimize and/or prevent sudden formation and release of occlusion in order to provide more steady and continuous flow of the medication through the device to the subject.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A THERAPEUTIC BOX
The invention provides self-care boxes and methods for using the self-care boxes for purposes such as self-expression, relaxation, enhanced self-awareness, and self-discovery.
Systems, devices and methods for galvanic vestibular stimulation having an envelope modulation
A method of galvanic vestibular stimulation (GVS) may include delivering an electrical signal via transdermal electrical stimulation using a plurality of electrodes connected to a patient. The electrical signal may include an amplitude and a carrier frequency. The method may include modulating at least one of the amplitude and the carrier frequency based on a modulation waveform to modulate the electrical signal, the modulation waveform may include a modulation frequency that is less than the carrier frequency.
METHOD FOR MAKING AND USING GAS-DELIVERY LIGHT FIXTURE
A plant-light system that includes a plurality of ducted plant-lighting plenum sheets, wherein each ducted plant-lighting plenum sheet includes a plurality of flexible perforated LED sheets, each LED sheet including a plurality of LEDs arranged on a grid, the plurality of LEDs including LEDs emitting light that appears red, light that appears blue, light that appears white, and light that is at least mostly infrared light, wherein each plant lighting sheet has a length and a width, and wherein the plurality of lighting sheets is arranged along a length of a room; a plurality of plant-holding pockets arranged along the length of the room generally parallel to the plurality of ducted plant-lighting plenum sheets; and a plant-lighting plenum sheets motion and withdrawal system arranged to move the plurality of ducted plant-lighting plenum sheets to a plurality of different locations relative to the plurality of plant-holding pockets for different time periods.
IMPROVED LIGHT THERAPY SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
In certain embodiments a light therapy system (e.g., phototherapy device), such as for treatment of Alzheimer's disease, depression, dementia, short-term memory, or for improved learning, improved athletic performance or improved cognitive performance, is provided where the light system comprises a blue light source that operates at a frequency in the range from 20 to 50 Hz (preferably around 40 Hz), whereby the system enables retinal ganglion cells of a human to be exposed in order to stimulate brain waves (gamma oscillations in the human's brain).
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING COFFEE-DERIVED VOLATILES
Devices, systems and methods are provided for delivering coffee-derived volatiles to a user, particularly for the treatment of addiction. The coffee volatiles are selected and delivered by devices and systems which allow for concentrated delivery to the olfactory system of the user in a controlled manner. The olfactory system is the part of the sensory system used for smelling or olfaction. Olfaction of such coffee volatiles in this prescribed fashion stimulates the reward system of the brain such that a specific desired outcome is achieved. In some embodiments, the desired outcome is a reduction in addiction symptoms or curbing of a sensation of addiction withdrawal.
Aerosol delivery device and method of operating the aerosol delivery device
An aerosol delivery device includes an aerosol generator for generating an aerosol in the aerosol delivery device with a membrane and a vibrator which is configured to vibrate a fluid and to aerosolise the fluid by the membrane. The aerosol delivery device further includes a fluid reservoir for receiving the fluid to be aerosolised, the fluid reservoir being arranged in fluid communication with the membrane, a controller which is configured to sequentially operate the vibrator at a plurality of different vibration frequencies, a sensor which is configured to detect at least one electrical parameter of the vibrator for each of the plurality of different vibration frequencies, and a detector which is configured to detect the presence of fluid in contact with the membrane and/or in the fluid reservoir on the basis of the dependence of the detected values of the at least one electrical parameter on the vibration frequency.
