STRESS RELIEVING DEVICE FOR VEHICLES
A stress relieving device for vehicles includes a supply unit that sprays cedrol into a vehicle cabin, a detection unit that detects an irritation level and a sleepiness level of a passenger in the vehicle cabin, and a controller that operates the supply unit based on the irritation level detected by the detection unit to cause the cedrol to be volatilized into the vehicle cabin and operates the supply unit to reduce a volatilization amount of the cedrol when the detection unit detects sleepiness. When cedrol is volatilized to suppress irritation in the passenger, a relaxation effect is exhibited, but when relaxation is exceed to promote sleepiness, the volatilization amount of cedrol is reduced to suppress sleepiness.
Systems, Methods, and Articles For Behavioral Disorder Monitoring and Treatment
Systems, methods, and articles are disclosed for the behavioral treatment of an individual. One embodiment comprising a wearable housing assembly further comprising a microcontroller, charging jack port, status monitor, selection element, sensor array, and deterring member attached to the user via a connection strap, adjustment belt, frame, prong, and adjustment hole. The user selects the input/output properties of the microcontroller, status monitor, sensor array, and deterring member using the selection element. Upon performing an undesirable emotional outburst, the user is automatically administered a deterrence element, causing the cognizance of, or the inability to engage in, the undesirable behavior. Other embodiments are described and shown.
METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF DEPRESSION USING SYNAPTIC PATHWAY TRAINING
Disclosed are methods of treating depression, mania, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and various other neurologic conditions using synaptic pathway training. Methods of synaptic pathway training include, generally, achieving a favorable treatment result by activating a synaptic pathway using a pharmacologic agent, such as treating refractory symptoms of depression with ketamine, following by potentiation of the favorable result by repeatedly stimulating the activated pathway. Stimulation of a synaptic pathway may be achieved by intrinsic means, such as performance of cognitive exercised, or extrinsic means, such as by delivery of a sensory stimulus to the patient, placing a potential voltage difference across the brain or a brain region, or by placing the brain or a brain region in a magnetic field.
Device control system, wearable device, information processing device, fragrance material ejection method, and device control method
A device control system including a wearable device and a server. The wearable device includes a device that ejects a fragrance material, a biological sensor, and a computer. The computer transmits biological data to the server, receives a first control signal, and causes the device to eject a fragrance material upon receipt of the first control signal. The server includes a computer. The computer receives the biological data, estimates user's emotion from the received biological data, and in a case where it is determined that the user has positive emotion by using a result of the estimation, (i) transmits the first control signal to the wearable device and (ii) transmits, to an aroma device, a second control signal for causing the aroma device to eject a fragrance material at a predetermined timing.
Devices, systems and methods for delivering coffee-derived volatiles
Devices, systems and methods are provided for delivering coffee-derived volatiles to a user, particularly for the treatment of addiction. The coffee volatiles are selected and delivered by devices and systems which allow for concentrated delivery to the olfactory system of the user in a controlled manner. The olfactory system is the part of the sensory system used for smelling or olfaction. Olfaction of such coffee volatiles in this prescribed fashion stimulates the reward system of the brain such that a specific desired outcome is achieved. In some embodiments, the desired outcome is a reduction in addiction symptoms or curbing of a sensation of addiction withdrawal.
External Nasal Dilator for Delivering Scent to the Nose
A nasal dilator includes a nose attachment member having an upper section that applies a recoil force to a nasal cavity of a human nose via adhesive attachment thereto. The nose attachment member also has a lower section including an arm that extends downwardly from the upper section to a nostril opening when the upper section is adhered to the wearer's nose. The arm has a scented portion.
Sleep Monitoring and Sleep Aid Usage
A method or apparatus to improve sleep aid efficacy is described. The method comprises monitoring the sleeping patterns of a user utilizing a non-intrusive sleep monitoring device. The method further correlates the user's sleep quality and sleep quantity with use of the sleep aid. In one embodiment, the method adjusts the sleep aid based on the sleep statistics.
Electronic apparatus and method for managing sleep
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a capsule container configured to contain at least one capsule, a discharge structure configured to discharge a material included in the capsule, a transceiver configured to transmit data to an external device or to receive data from the external device, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to receive, user state information and biometric information from the external device via the transceiver, select at least one capsule in the capsule container on the basis of the received user state information and biometric information, determine a spray amount of a material contained in the selected at least one capsule, and spray the material via the discharge structure.
Gas-delivery light fixture and method for making and using
A plant-light system that includes a plurality of ducted plant-lighting plenum sheets, wherein each ducted plant-lighting plenum sheet includes a plurality of flexible perforated LED sheets, each LED sheet including a plurality of LEDs arranged on a grid, the plurality of LEDs including LEDs emitting light that appears red, light that appears blue, light that appears white, and light that is at least mostly infrared light, wherein each plant lighting sheet has a length and a width, and wherein the plurality of lighting sheets is arranged along a length of a room; a plurality of plant-holding pockets arranged along the length of the room generally parallel to the plurality of ducted plant-lighting plenum sheets; and a plant-lighting plenum sheets motion and withdrawal system arranged to move the plurality of ducted plant-lighting plenum sheets to a plurality of different locations relative to the plurality of plant-holding pockets for different time periods.
