Dead Locking Latch Assembly
A latch assembly is provided where the latch is moveable to open and close a door by operation of a dead lock assembly that blocks or unblocks movement of a bolt. In a blocked state, a blocking cartridge of the dead lock assembly is prevented from inward movement, blocking inward movement of the bolt. Turning a door knob or door handle causes a spindle extending through the dead lock assembly to move locking bars of the dead locking assembly, the locking bars moving further apart to permit the blocking cartridge to slide there between and move inwardly into the latch housing. The bolt can now move inward by force of the door jamb upon the bolt in order to clear the door jamb when opening and closing the door.
LOCKS FOR STORAGE CONTAINERS AND THE LIKE
Locks for storage containers having closures such as doors, covers or lids are disclosed. The lock is mounted to the closure and is latched in such a manner as to selectively prevent opening or removal of the closure. The latch of the lock can engage a slot in the storage container, a bracket on the storage container, or a strike on the storage container. Alternatively, the latch can engage a mounting bracket on the door or other portion of the door to selectively block movement of a handle for the door. Further, the latch can have a locking device which can selectively block movement of the latch. Movement of the locking device can be selectively controlled by a magnetic key.
Door knob assembly
A new door knob assembly for allowing a door to be opened easily without the need to turn a knob. The assembly includes an outside door knob and an actuating inside door knob respectively positioned within openings on the outside and inside surfaces of a door. A locking body which communicates with the door knobs is positioned in an opening on the side edge of the door. The locking body has a locking shaft with a locking head on one end which protrudes from the side edge and retracts into the door. On the other end, engagement arms are fitted with obstruction openings. A locking rod which extends in from the inside knob has a locking nut which when positioned in the obstruction openings prevents the locking head from retracting into the door. When the locking nut is moved out of the obstruction openings by actuating the inside knob the locking head can retract into the door.
Door Lock Assembly
A door lock assembly includes a door lock that is installed in a door of a building. The door lock includes a pair of door knobs and a latch bolt. The latch bolt engages a recess in a doorjamb when the door is closed for retaining the door in a closed position. Conversely, the latch bolt disengages the recess in the doorjamb when either of the door knobs is rotated thereby facilitating the door to be opened. A pin is extendable though the latch bolt of the door lock when the door is closed such that the pin abuts the door. In this way the latch bolt is inhibited from being urged into an unlocking position thereby inhibiting an intruder from defeating the door lock and opening the door.
Gate latch
A latch includes a housing that has a first side and a second side. The latch includes a bolt locking assembly that is positioned at least partially within the housing. The bolt locking assembly includes a bolt movable between first and second positions relative to at least one of the first and second sides of the housing. The bolt is positionable to selectively extend from either the first side or the second of the housing. The latch includes a first handing configuration and a second handing configuration, where the first handing configuration corresponds to the first position and the second handing configuration corresponds to the second position. Changing between the first handing configuration and the second handing configuration requires moving the bolt locking assembly to a disengaged position and applying the external force to the bolt to move the bolt between the first and second positions.
Tamper-Resistant Lock
A tamper-proof lock includes: a housing, shaft/handle, cam, lever, spring, and plate. The shaft is pivotally mounted in a housing orifice, with the cam pivotally mounted to the shaft. The cam has first and second shaped openings at first and second respective radial positions, and an arcuate recess. The lever is secured to the shaft, and has a protrusion that alternately engages each of first and second ends of the arcuate recess to respectively/selectively drive the cam to rotate/counter-rotate in first and second directions, into locked and unlocked cam positions. The spring biases the plate for a protrusion thereon to be respectively received within each of first and second shaped cam openings, when aligned therewith at those cam positions, and for a curved surface of the plate to be correspondingly received within first and second curved cam recesses, respectively, when aligned therewith, which facilitate withdrawal of the plate protrusion.
Anti-theft device for door locks
The anti-theft device is configured in a door lock, and contains a first blocking piece, a second blocking device, a positioning piece, and a lever. The first blocking piece contains a first section and a second section bended and extended perpendicularly from the first section. The first section has a first through hole and a second through hole. The lever is engaged by a lock heart of the door lock. When the door lock is locked, the lock heart is turned to engage the lever so that the lever drives the first blocking piece downward by its first through hole. The second section of the first blocking piece as such blocks a lock tongue of the door lock so that the door lock cannot be opened without using key.
Redundant boltwork lock
A safe locking system that provides a means to operate one of two (or more) safe locks of any type to facilitate safe opening of a door. The safe door can be opened by operating either of two locks, regardless of the type or style; e.g., e-locks and mechanical locks. A sliding bar assembly is mounted to the rear face of the safe door for displacing the boltwork into and out of the door frame. Extension of the lock bolts of both locks prevents movement of a main locking bar and attached boltwork, which prevents a user from opening the door. Retraction of either of the lock bolts permits sliding movement of the main locking bar, such that a user can unlock the door from the frame.
Support device having variable security level
A support apparatus having a variable security level, including a tray for receiving a portable electronic device. The tray has a mounting interface structure on its outside backing surface. An unsecurable retainer mechanism releasably retains the portable electronic device in the tray. A variable level security mechanism securably retains the portable electronic device in the tray, the variably securable latching element includes: a latching element that is movable between a latched configuration relative to the tray for securably latching the portable electronic device in the tray, and an unlatched configuration, a security element that is movable between a secured configuration for alternatively securing the latching element in the latched and unlatched configurations thereof, and an unsecured configuration, and a lock element that is coupled to the security element for alternatively locking the security element in the secured and unsecured configurations.
SLIDING PANEL LATCH SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
The present disclosure is drawn to a sliding panel latch system and related methods. The sliding panel latch system can comprise a striker, a sliding panel movable relative to the striker, and a latch rotatably coupled to the panel. The latch can have a striker interface to engage the striker. The striker interface can at least partially define a striker opening to receive the striker. The latch can be rotatable to a latch position to secure the striker in the striker opening and to a receive/release position to receive the striker in the striker opening or release the striker from the striker opening.
