09787127 · 2017-10-10 · ·

A door lock mounted to a door includes a latch head. A receiver includes a charging circuit and is mounted to the door. A battery provides electricity required for moving the latch head between a latching position and an unlatching position or providing electricity required for permitting or not permitting movement of the latch head from the latching position to the unlatching position. A transmitter includes a wireless transmitting circuit and is mounted to a door frame to which the door is pivotably mounted. The transmitter is connected to a power supply. When the door is in an open position, the receiver is not aligned with the transmitter. When the door is in a closed position, the receiver is aligned with the transmitter, the receiver receives a radio wave from the transmitter, converts the radio wave into electricity, and stores the electricity in the battery.

Device for Locking or Releasing a Safety-Relevant, Movable Component in a Controlled Manner
20170226775 · 2017-08-10 ·

A device for a controlled locking or release of a safety-relevant, movable component (2), such as a protective door, protective cover of the like, with a movable blocking element (51) and with a self-locking drive unit (5, 17, 19, 21, 23, 27) controlling adjustment movements of the blocking element (51) between a locked position and a released position is characterized in that an actuator (33) is provided that can be moved by the drive unit (5, 17, 19, 21, 23, 27), said actuator being mechanically coupled to the blocking element for a transfer of the blocking element (51) into the released position brought about by the drive unit (5, 17, 19, 21, 23, 27) and being capable of decoupling for a transfer of the blocking element (51) into the released position brought about independently of the drive unit (5, 17, 19, 21, 23, 27).

Electromechanical drive system

An illustrative access control system includes a locking assembly operable in locked and unlocked states, and a drive assembly operable to actuate the locking assembly. The drive assembly includes an electromechanical actuator, and energy storage device, and a control system. The electromechanical actuator is operable, upon receiving power, to transition the locking assembly between the locked state and the unlocked state. The energy storage device is electrically coupled to the electromechanical actuator, and configured to store electrical power from the power supply when the drive assembly is coupled to the power supply. The control system is configured to couple the drive assembly to the power supply in response to a first condition, and to thereafter transmit energy only from the energy storage device to power the electromechanical actuator, based at least in part upon a level of energy stored in the energy storage device.

CLUTCH MECHANISM AND ELECTRONIC LOCK HAVING THE SAME

An electronic lock includes a latch member and a clutch mechanism mounted on the outside of the lock cylinder and including a clutch unit, a driving unit and a control module. The clutch unit includes a rotatable seat having a first engaging portion, an accessible knob, and a clutch seat having a second engaging portion. The clutch seat is movable relative to the rotatable seat between an unlock position and a lock position, where the second engaging portion engages and disengages the first engaging portion, respectively.

ELECTRIC LOCK WITH LATCH RETRACTOR
20170268256 · 2017-09-21 ·

The present invention provides an improved electric lock that allows for electrically controlled retraction of latch bolt to allow for opening of the door in which the lock is installed. The components that allow for retraction are primarily internal to the lock and have means for conducting electrical signals to the lock to allow for remote control of the latch retraction. In some embodiments, the locks comprise an electrically controllable actuator and at least one retraction lever configured to retract the latch bolt against an applied bias. In other embodiments, the actuator can be housed within a separate housing can be configured to retract the latch bolt directly without using a retraction lever.

ELECTRO-MECHANICAL LOCK CORE WITH A CAM MEMBER TAILPIECE

A removable lock core for use with a lock device having a locked state and an unlocked state is disclosed. The removeable lock core may include a cam member tailpiece which is moveable between a first position relative to a lock core body which corresponds to the lock device being in the locked state and a second position relative to a lock core body which permits removal of the removeable lock core from the lock device which corresponds to the lock device being in the unlocked state. The removeable lock core may include an electro-mechanical drive assembly which in a disengaged state is decoupled from the cam member tailpiece and in an engaged state is coupled to the cam member tailpiece. A cam lock having a locked state and an unlocked state for use with a catch is disclosed.
