OPENING AND CLOSING DEVICE OF VEHICLE SLIDING DOOR
An opening and closing device of a vehicle sliding door includes: a fully closed latch mechanism; a fully opened latch mechanism; a power releaser; a power closer; a canceler; a lock mechanism; and a relay control mechanism that includes an inner handle. The lock mechanism, the power releaser, and the canceler are disposed in the fully closed latch mechanism. The relay control mechanism includes a handle lever configured to, when a door opening operation is performed on the inner handle, rotate in a first direction to unlatch the fully closed latch mechanism and activate the cancel mechanism, and when a door closing operation is performed on the inner handle, rotate in a second direction to unlatch the fully opened latch mechanism. The inner handle is pivotally supported by the handle case of the relay control mechanism so as to be rotatable in two directions.
Motor vehicle door lock and method for selectively operating a motor vehicle door lock with or without a security device
The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock which is equipped with a locking mechanism (1, 2) consisting of essentially a rotary latch (1) and a pawl (2), in addition to an actuating lever chain (4) and a locking unit (5, 6). Said motor vehicle door lock also comprises a security device (8, 9, 10) which can optionally set the actuating lever chain (4) and/or the locking unit (5, 6) in a non-functioning state/functioning state. According to the invention, said security device (8, 9, 10) is designed as a retrofitted module (8, 9, 10) which can be connected, according to requirements, to a base module (1-6 and 11), said module surrounding the largest part of the locking mechanism (1, 2), the actuating lever chain (4) and the locking unit (5, 6).

Door latch device
A door latch device is provided which has a childproof locking mechanism of which a childproof lever is pivotally supported by a support shaft. The childproof lever of the childproof locking mechanism is pivotally supported on a casing by the support shaft extending in a transverse direction of a vehicle. This mechanism shifting between a childproof unlock state, in which a door opening operation by an inside handle is transmitted to an engagement mechanism, and a childproof lock state, in which this opening operation is not transmitted, and a manual operation part is formed at an end portion of the childproof lever in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle perpendicular to the support shaft such that this manual operation part passes through a cover member and projects backward.

CLOSURE LATCH FOR VEHICLE DOOR
In an embodiment, a latch includes a ratchet and pawl. A lock includes a link pivotable between unlocked and locked positions wherein a release lever operates the pawl, and the lever disconnects from the pawl respectively. A cam rotates between unlocking and locking positions wherein the link can move to the unlocked position, and the link pivots to the locked position respectively. An override member rotates between actuatable and non-actuatable positions wherein the lever can engage the override member to unlock the cam, and the lever disconnects from the override member respectively. The lock is positionable in an unlocked state wherein the link is unlocked, a locked state wherein the link is locked, the cam is in the locking position and the override member is actuatable, and a second locked state wherein the link is locked, the cam is in the locking position and the override member is non-actuatable.
Closure latch for vehicle door
In an embodiment, a latch includes a ratchet and pawl. A lock includes a link pivotable between unlocked and locked positions wherein a release lever operates the pawl, and the lever disconnects from the pawl respectively. A cam rotates between unlocking and locking positions wherein the link can move to the unlocked position, and the link pivots to the locked position respectively. An override member rotates between actuatable and non-actuatable positions wherein the lever can engage the override member to unlock the cam, and the lever disconnects from the override member respectively. The lock is positionable in an unlocked state wherein the link is unlocked, a locked state wherein the link is locked, the cam is in the locking position and the override member is actuatable, and a second locked state wherein the link is locked, the cam is in the locking position and the override member is non-actuatable.
