EXPANDABLE SHEATH INCLUDING SMART INTRODUCER
An introducer sheath system is disclosed herein that includes an introducer locking hub, an introducer coupled to the introducer locking hub, and a hypotube disposed within the central lumen of the introducer. The introducer locking hub prevents axial and rotational translation of the introducer with respect to the sheath. The introducer defines an elongated body having a proximal piece and a separate distal piece, the proximal piece coupled to the introducer locking hub and the distal piece coupled to the distal end of the hypotube. The body portion of the hypotube is slidably disposed within the central lumen of the proximal piece of the introducer such that movement of the hypotube within the central lumen of the proximal piece causes the distal piece of the introducer to move with respect to the proximal piece.
SHEATH STEPWISE DILATION
A sheath assembly includes a first sheath, a second sheath, and an attachment mechanism. The first sheath includes a first sheath inner surface defining a first sheath lumen extending along a first sheath central longitudinal axis between a first sheath first end portion and a first sheath second end portion. The second sheath includes a second sheath inner surface defining a second sheath lumen extending along a second sheath longitudinal axis between a second sheath first end portion and a second sheath second end portion. The attachment mechanism couples the second sheath to the first sheath. The attachment mechanism includes an attachment mechanism step-up dilation. At least a portion of the attachment mechanism is asymmetrical, at the attachment mechanism step-up dilation, about the first sheath central longitudinal axis.
SEAMLESS EXPANDABLE INTRODUCER SHEATH
An introducer sheath assembly includes an expandable introducer sheath including an expandable braid defining an elongate tubular member moveable between a collapsed configuration for delivery and an expanded configuration for deployment, the expandable braid having a first length when in the collapsed configuration and a second, reduced, length when in the expanded configuration. The introducer sheath assembly includes a dilator adapted to releasably hold the expandable introducer sheath in its collapsed configuration for delivery until the dilator is actuated to release the expandable braid from the dilator, thereby permitting the expandable braid to expand to its expanded configuration.
Eversible catheter with minimal rubbing friction
A flexible, polymer sleeve is provided that is everted into a body passageway in such a manner as to exert minimal rubbing friction on the internal walls of such passageway. The sleeve is housed within a tube assembly comprising a posterior tube that telescopingly slides into an insertion tube. The sleeve everts over the insertion tube, upon forward pressure applied thereon, as it extends forward into a body passageway, and consequently, causes the posterior tube to retract into the insertion tube. Multiple tubes can be telescoped to support the polymer sleeve and to keep a passageway open for the expelling of urine or body fluids, the insertion of tools, sanitation/antibacterial substances, or for the flow of liquids through the sleeve. The insertion tube can be locked in reference to the sleeve to prevent unintended removal of catheter assembly. Sleeve and tubing are removed by reversing the insertion and eversion movements.
MECHANICAL INTERLOCK FOR CATHETERS
An intravascular device delivery system has an elongated member with a flexible hypotube. The hypotube can be rotationally keyed to a steerable catheter. The flexible hypotube includes one or more cuts to allow bending of the flexible hypotube within a first plane. The steerable catheter is steerable to bend the flexible hypotube within the first plane, and longitudinally movable relative to the flexible hypotube to allow distal movement of the steerable catheter relative to a distal end of the flexible hypotube.
Balloon Tipped Dual Lumen Tapered Guide Extension Catheter
The present disclosure discloses a guide extension catheter device. The catheter device includes an elongated body having at least one of a distal portion, a proximal portion, and a middle portion. The middle portion extends between the distal portion and the proximal portion. In an aspect, the distal portion comprises a first part and a second part. The first part is disposed at a distal end of the distal portion and the second part is disposed at a proximal end of the distal portion. The first part of the distal portion is cylindrical in shape and the second part is tapered such that a diameter of a second part proximal end is greater than a diameter of a second part distal end. The catheter device also integrates a built-in balloon at the first part of the distal end.
Introducer positioning device for controlling a catheter shaft
The present disclosure generally relates to medical devices and methods for navigating a catheter shaft into the body of a subject during an intracoronary or other medical procedure and controlling the distal end of the catheter shaft. The present disclosure includes the use of an introducer positioning device that may be used in combination with an introducer. The introducer positioning device when used in combination with an introducer allows a catheter shaft to be inserted therethrough and into the introducer shaft located in the introducer where a distal end of the catheter shaft is aligned with the distal end of the introducer shaft.
Devices and method for maxillary sinus lavage
A lavage catheter for the treatment of a maxillary sinus is described. The catheter comprises a proximal portion and a distal portion. The distal portion comprises an irrigation tip. The irrigation tip has a tip opening through which fluid may be delivered by one handed operation of the catheter. A method for lavaging the maxillary sinus includes inserting the lavage catheter into a patient's anatomy and advancing the irrigation tip into the maxillary sinus using one hand.
CATHETER CLAMPING DEVICE
A clamping device for a catheter shaft can include a first member having a first indicator surface and defining a first inner bore having a non-circular cross-sectional profile, and a second member having a second indicator surface, and an extending annular element defining a second inner bore, the annular element received within the first inner bore and comprising an outer surface having a non-circular cross-sectional profile. The clamping device can be movable between a release state in which the second inner bore has a first diameter, and a clamped state in which the second inner bore has a second diameter less than the first diameter.
Conveyor and conveyor system
A conveyor and a conveyor system are provided. The conveyor comprises a lumen assembly and a self-locking mechanism connected to the lumen assembly, wherein the lumen assembly comprises an inner core tube, a recovery sheath movably surrounding the inner core tube, and an outer sheath movably surrounding the recovery sheath; the self-locking mechanism is connected to the recovery sheath; and the outer sheath can move relative to the inner core tube in an axial direction of the conveyor. The self-locking mechanism has a self-locked state and an unlocked state, wherein when the self-locking mechanism is in the unlocked state, the recovery sheath can move relative to the inner core tube in the axial direction of the conveyor; and when the self-locking mechanism is in the self-locked state, the recovery sheath maintains stationary relative to the inner core tube.
