VEHICLE DOOR LATCH APPARATUS
A vehicle door latch apparatus has latch mechanism, powered release means, manual release means and lock mechanism that is switched between a locked state and an unlocked state. Powered release means has cam wheel that is rotated in normal and in reverse rotational directions from a reference position by motor power. When cam wheel is rotated in the normal rotational direction from the reference position, latch mechanism is released while lock mechanism is held in the locked state When cam wheel is rotated in the reverse rotational direction from the reference position, cam wheel switches lock mechanism to the unlocked state. Cam wheel returns lock mechanism to the locked state when cam wheel is rotated in the normal rotational direction back to the reference position in the unlocked state.
MOTOR CONTROL FOR POWERED CLOSURE WITH ANTI-PINCH
A controller system is provided for a motorized moveable striker assembly on a vehicle door or window. The assembly includes a striker on the door post which is moveable by an electric motor between extended and retracted positions. A latch on the door releasably engages the striker. Switches in the latch sends signals to the controller to actuate the motor. After the latch is engaged, the controller retracts the striker from the extended position to fully close the door. When the latch is disengaged from the striker, the latch switch sends a signal to controller to actuate the motor so as to extend the striker from the retracted position to the extended position as to prepare for the next door closing. Anti-pinching control and temperature compensation is also provided.

ACTUATING DRIVE FOR MOTOR VEHICLE APPLICATIONS
An actuating drive for motor vehicle applications, in particular for a motor vehicle lock comprising an actuating drive, for realizing different functional positions, includes an electromagnetic rotary actuator with a rotor and a stator, in particular a coil carrier, a drive lever, wherein the drive lever can be moved to different functional positions by the rotary actuator, and means for latching the drive lever in the functional position, wherein the drive lever interacts with a switching lever in such a way that, after a functional position of the drive lever is reached, a moment which stabilizes the functional position can be introduced into the drive lever by the switching lever.
Electro-Mechanically Locking Compression Latch
A locking compression latch that can be changed from a locked state to an unlocked state either mechanically by turning an appropriate key in a key plug or electrically by an electric signal. Once in an unlocked condition, the compression latch can be opened by rotating a latch lever that disengages a protrusion on the latch lever from a striker mounted on the base of the compression latch. The compression latch can be changed from a locked to an unlocked condition by the electrical signal while the key plug is in the locked position.

COMPARTMENT ACTUATOR FOR POWER CINCHING
A compartment actuator (20) includes a motor (22) and a drive gear (32) driven by the motor (22) about an axis of rotation between a first position and a second position. The drive gear (32) has a groove (36) formed therein and the groove (36) is eccentric about the axis of rotation.
CLOSURE LATCH FOR VEHICLE DOOR HAVING BIDIRECTIONAL POWER RELEASE FUNCTION
The present disclosure relates to a closure latch for a vehicle door, and more particularly to a closure latch for a vehicle door equipped with a passive entry feature. To this end, the present disclosure relates to the use of a bidirectional power release mechanism operable in a first mode to release a latch mechanism under normal operating conditions and which is operable in a second mode to release the latch mechanism under emergency operating conditions.
