FER locking system for sliding windows
09702173 · 2017-07-11 · ·

A window lock assembly accomplishing FER manipulation protection against unintended window opening without using additional components in the typical FER lock assembly by using a passive barrier system to help prevent access to both the lock cam and lock lever handle. The device can include at least one lock assembly mounted on the interior side of the window's inner sash and having a locked and unlocked position. The lock assembly engages with at least one keeper mounted on the outer sash to secure the window. The lock assembly housing has a barrier extending outward from the bottom surface which effectively helps to block access to the cam. The lock assembly housing also has a shroud which extends from the top and side edges which partially or completely covers the keeper and effectively helps to block access to the lever handle.

Double hung latch and jamb hardware

A fenestration operation hardware assembly includes latch mechanisms configured for coupling to respective top and bottom sashes, and a paddle member configured for coupling the latch mechanisms. The latch mechanisms include movable latch bolts, and at least one of the latch mechanisms includes an operator interface feature movable between at least initial and operating positions. In an initial position, the latch bolts are in respective projected positions, and the top and bottom panels are immobilized. In a first withdrawn position, at least one of the top and bottom panels is movable, and in a second withdrawn position, at least one of the top and bottom panels is tiltable. In an example, a top latch bolt is moved by the paddle member according to movement of the bottom latch bolt.

Housing protrusion
09650818 · 2017-05-16 ·

A rotatable window lock including a cam positioned within a housing and rotatably connected to a handle. The housing defines a vertical protrusion on the exterior surface sized and configured to be inserted within an aperture defined in the bottom surface of the handle. By positioning the protrusion closer to the housing edge than the housing center, the protrusion is able to rotatably refrain the handle, preventing inadvertent rotation of the handle and unauthorized window access.

SYSTEM FOR OPENING/CLOSING A BONNET
20170122013 · 2017-05-04 · ·

A system for opening and closing a vehicle hood includes a manual maneuvering element that is able to control positioning of the hood on a vehicle body and a mechanism for locking and unlocking the maneuvering element.

Medical appliance

A medical appliance, in particular an apparatus for extracorporeal blood treatment, has a housing including a door and with a handle mechanism arranged at the door, via which the door can be locked with the housing via a locking mechanism. A part of the locking mechanism is formed at the handle mechanism in a part thereof that protrudes into the housing. A form-fit unit includes at least one form-fit element and at least one form-fit element counterpart, such that on locking and/or closing the door, the at least one form-fit element at least partly engages in the at least one form-fit element counterpart.

Vehicle hatch assembly

A hatch assembly attachable to a roof of a vehicle includes a removable dome attached to a frame including opposed first and second linkage mechanisms and a latch assembly. The frame includes an annular sidewall section defining an aperture and an outwardly extending flange portion peripheral to the annular wall portion and includes a continuous upper peripheral surface. The dome has an outer planar surface covering the aperture and an inner surface including a hinge portion attached to the first linkage assembly. A latch assembly attaches to the inner surface of the dome on a side of the dome that is opposed to the hinge portion. The latch assembly rotatably couples to a lock wedge, which includes a helical locking surface.

Hinged panel locking assembly

A locking assembly for locking panels of a hinged panel assembly together. The hinged panel assembly has a second movable panel rotatably mounted to a first fixed panel by a hinge. The locking assembly is intended for selectively holding the second panel in position relative to the first panel in a folded configuration. The locking assembly includes a male assembly and a female assembly. The male assembly is configured to be rotatably mounted to the first panel, and has a tab rotationally fixed relative to a rotatable actuator, with the tab and the actuator configured to be disposed on opposing sides of the first panel. The female assembly is configured to be fixedly mounted to the second panel. The female assembly has a recess configured to receive the tab. The locking assembly is rotatable between a locked position and an unlocked position.

Vehicle door latch security tether

A vehicle that includes a door, handle, shaft, and a latch assembly is provided. The latch assembly is coupled to the door to selectively secure the door. The latch assembly includes a security tether configured to prevent the shaft from moving the pawl when the lock lever is located in the locked condition. The security tether further includes: a plate attachable to the latch assembly; the plate includes an aperture sized to receive at least a portion of the lock lever that is disposed through the aperture; the plate includes first and second stop surfaces to limit movement of the lock lever; the first and second stop surfaces are also spaced apart from each other; the lock lever is movable between the first and second stop surfaces; at least the first stop surface is spaced apart from the first location on the pawl; and the lock lever engages the first stop surface when the lock lever is located in the locked condition to prevent the pawl from moving to the unlatched condition and unlatching the latching assembly.

Double hung operation hardware

A fenestration operation hardware assembly includes at least one latch mechanism and an operation hardware assembly configured for coupling with a panel slidable within a frame. The latch mechanism includes a latch bolt and a latch biasing element coupled with the latch bolt. An operator of the operation hardware assembly is remote from the latch mechanism and is coupled with the panel. The operator includes an operator interface feature movable between initial and operating positions. In the initial position the latch bolt is in a projecting position, and in the operating position the operator interface feature moves the latch bolt into one or more withdrawn positions. The operation hardware assembly includes a retention assembly for retaining the latch bolt in a withdrawn position.
