Cooler lock

A cooler access control system locks a cooler when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler door open while stocking the cooler with product.

Adoor latch includes a gripper adjustable between a gripping state and a release state, which gripper, in the gripping state, is able to grip a closing member for holding the door closed which moves relatively closer to the gripper in a closing direction as a door of the domestic appliance is closed, and, in the release state, frees the closing member for opening the door, wherein, when the door is closed, the gripping state of the gripper is released by a relative releasing movement of the closing member carried out in the closing direction; and an electrically controllable displacement mechanism for displacing the gripper, under electrical control, from a retracted position into an advanced position against a restoring spring force, which advanced position, when the closing member is gripped, corresponds to a state in which the door is closed to a lesser degree than in the retracted position.

A locking device (100), especially for locking a backrest (4) of a vehicle seat (1) to a vehicle structure (6), includes a rotary latch lock (20) for locking a mating element (8). The locking device (100) further includes an ejection lever (133) which, in an unlocked state of the rotary latch-type lock (20), moves the mating element (8) relative to the rotary latch-type lock (20) by actuating an operating handle (121).

Lock having a security device for an automatic storage machine and automatic storage machine

The invention relates to a lock (1) which can be actively released and locked by control technology, particularly for use in automatic storage machines having a plurality of compartments with compartment doors (2) which are to be opened individually, and to an automatic storage machine having at least one such lock (1). The lock (1) comprises a detent pawl (14), which can lock a locking element (9), which is permanently connected to a compartment door (2), in the lock such that the compartment door (2) can be held in closed position. The lock further has a first electric drive element (17) which transitions the detent pawl (14) from the locking position to a release position upon the applying of electrical power, such that the compartment door (2) can be opened. The lock (1) further comprises a security device (32), which prevents an automatic reset of the detent pawl (14) from the release position to the locking position when the lock (1) is in an unpowered state or the automatic storage machine is in an unpowered state, and an unintentional, accidental or improper locking of a compartment door can thus be avoided. In order to properly lock a compartment door, the security device (32) of the lock (1) comprises a second electric drive element, by means of which the detent pawl (14) can be transitioned back to the locking position thereof upon the applying of electrical power to said second electric drive element during closing of the compartment door (2).

Locking apparatus for a rollup door or other movable object

A locking apparatus for a rollup door, comprising a striker member, latch assembly including a latch, a release lever, a trigger, a cam and a solenoid. The latch assembly may also include a limit switch for detecting when the latch assembly is in an unlocked position. The locking apparatus can be electronically unlocked or it can be unlocked manually by a user by actuating the solenoid which causes the latch to release the locked striker member.
