DOOR HINGE DEVICE FOR VEHICLES

In a door hinge device for vehicles, in a vehicle without a B pillar, a hinge slider connected to a hinge portion of a door slidably moves in an external diagonal direction of a vehicle body along a rail in a case to secure a rotational trajectory of the door, and then a first striker configured in the hinge slider is restrained to a hinge latch unit fixed onto the rail inside the case in association with an action of a second striker provided at one side of the door to fix a slide movement location of the hinge slider, stably achieving an opening/closing operation of the door.

A vehicle door hinge structure includes a body bracket, a hinge arm, a door bracket and a check structure. A first end of the hinge arm is attached to the body bracket for pivoting movement about a first pivot axis. The door bracket is attached to the second end of the hinge arm for pivoting movement about a second pivot axis. A clip member of the check structure has a main body, a clip portion and a retention portion. The main body of the clip member extends through a clip aperture of the hinge arm. The bracket pin is fixedly attached to the door bracket at a location spaced apart from the second pivot axis such that with the clip portion of the clip member engaged with the bracket pin, the door bracket is retained in a fixed position.

REAR ACCESS DOOR LATCH AND SEALING SYSTEMS

The present disclosure generally relates to a two-door closure system for a motor vehicle including a body having an A-pillar and a C-pillar being spaced from one another. According to an aspect of the disclosure, the closure system includes a front door having a front edge that is pivotably connected to the A-pillar. The closure system also includes a rear door that has a rearward edge that is pivotably coupled to the C-pillar of the vehicle body. At least one swivel hinge unit is provided that has a first pivot pin that is pivotably connected to the rearward edge of the rear door, and a second pivot pin for being pivotably connected to the C-pillar of the vehicle body to allow the rear door to initially pivot and translate away from the front door prior to pivoting the rear door between an open and closed position about the second pivot pin.

EXTENDED SWING CLOSURE MEMBER SYSTEMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES

Exemplary closure member systems for motor vehicles may include one or more power hinge assemblies, non-powered hinge assemblies, or both and are configured to displace a closure member to a fully open position of at least 100 degrees relative to its closed position. The hinge assemblies may embody a multi-axis design for moving the closure member between the closed and fully open positions. The closure member systems may be further configured to move the closure member along different swing paths during an opening sequence and a closing sequence.

Vehicle body

A vehicle body includes a rear opening and a rear header. The rear header includes a first and a second rear header panel. A closed cross-section space is defined by the first and the second rear header panels. The vehicle body includes a reinforcing member that is disposed in the closed cross-section space. The first and the second rear header panels each include a first portion extending downward in the vehicle up-down direction and a second portion bending from a lower end of the first portion and extending rearward in the vehicle front-rear direction. The reinforcing member is disposed in a region in which the first portion of the first rear header panel and the first portion of the second rear header panel face each other. A space is provided between a lower face of the reinforcing member and the second portion of the first rear header panel.

DOOR ASSEMBLY FOR FREIGHT CONTAINER

The present disclosure provides a hinge, a freight container that includes the hinge and a freight container that includes a locking rod and optionally the hinge. The hinge includes a locking pin, a first wing, a second wing and a first hinge pin that pivotally connects the first wing to the second wing. The hinge further includes a pair of hinge lugs each having a first set of surfaces defining openings through which a second hinge pin passes and at least one of the pair of hinge lugs having a surface defining an opening through which a locking pin reversibly travels. The locking rod is mounted to the door of the freight container, where the locking rod includes a cam that can move between a first predetermined position where the cam can engage the cam keeper and a second predetermined position where the cam is disengaged from the cam keeper and can travel past the end frame of the freight container and the cam keeper as the door travels into the volume of the freight container.

Flip hinge

A flip hinge for a motor vehicle includes an inner strap affixed to a body of the motor vehicle, an outer strap separate from the inner strap and affixed to a removable panel of the motor vehicle, and an intermediate link extending from the inner strap to the outer strap. The intermediate link is rotatably attached to the inner strap at a first link end by a spring-loaded pivot. The intermediate link is rotatably attached to the outer strap at a second link end by an outer strap pivot. The intermediate link is movable between at least a first position and a second position. The spring-loaded pivot biases the intermediate link towards the second position whenever the intermediate link is not in the first position, and the outer strap is separable from the intermediate link only when the intermediate link is in the first position.

DUAL-ACTION DOOR HANDLE
