Overtravel hinge
A vehicle includes a chassis, a door track, a door operatively connected to the door track and adapted to move between a closed position and an open position, and a hinge assembly coupled to the door. The hinge assembly is movably coupled to the door track and includes a first bracket coupled to the door, a second bracket coupled to the first bracket, and a transport assembly coupled to the second bracket and adapted to move along the door track as the door moves between the open and closed positions. The transport assembly includes a coupling member for releasably coupling the second bracket to the transport assembly. Upon movement of the second bracket from the first position to the second position, the door moves to an extended open position with respect to the door track.
Motor vehicle and a door hinge mechanism therefor
A motor vehicle is disclosed having a door that is attached to the motor vehicle by a hinge mechanism providing both full swing opening of the door and full scissor opening of the door. The motor vehicle includes an apparatus to assist with the selection of a preferred mode of door opening based upon an assessment of the surroundings in which the motor vehicle 1 rests. The assessment of the surroundings and selection of the preferred mode of door opening is carried out by an electronic controller based upon information received from a sensing apparatus.
INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE SUN PROTECTOR
An industrial vehicle sun protector for the protection of an operator located in the cabin of an industrial vehicle, comprising: a mounting arrangement configured to be installed in the cabin of an industrial vehicle, and a rigid shade member for obstructing the passage of sun rays therethrough, the shade member being pivotably connected to the mounting arrangement such that the shade member is pivotable between a stored position and different selectable deployed positions, wherein adjustment from one of the deployed positions to another one of the deployed positions allows for protecting the operator from sun rays at different positions of the sun, wherein a pivoting of the shade member from the stored position to any one of the different selectable deployed positions results in an angular displacement of the shade member greater than 90?.
Vehicle door check mechanism and vehicle door opening and closing apparatus having the same
A vehicle door check mechanism includes a strap body mounted on a portion of a vehicle door adjacent to a rotation axis of the vehicle door, and configured to move with the vehicle door as the vehicle door swings around the rotation axis, and a hold unit configured to allow the strap body to be held at regular intervals, wherein the strap body is curved to have a predetermined curvature radius. A center of the curvature radius is located on the rotation axis of the vehicle door, and the strap body has a fixed end which is fixed to the vehicle door, and a free end which is spaced apart from the vehicle door.
VEHICLE INTERIOR COMPONENT
A vehicle interior component with an improved torque hinge is provided. The vehicle interior component may comprise a base and a cover configured to move relative to the base. The torque hinge may be coupled to the base and the cover and configured to hold the cover in any position relative to the base. The torque hinge may comprise a bushing, a brake, a clamp and a fastener configured to provide a clamping force between the clamp and brake. The bushing may be configured to move with the cover as the cover moves relative to the base to provide a frictional force against the brake. The clamp may be manufactured by an extrusion process. The clamp may comprise a curved portion and first and second extension portions extending from the curved portion. The first and second extension portions of the clamp may be substantially parallel.
OVERTRAVEL HINGE

The hinge assembly is movably coupled to the door track and includes a first bracket coupled to the door, a second bracket coupled to the first bracket, and a transport assembly coupled to the second bracket and adapted to move along the door track as the door moves between the open and closed positions. The transport assembly includes a coupling member for releasably coupling the second bracket to the transport assembly. Upon movement of the second bracket from the first position to the second position, the door moves to an extended open position with respect to the door track.

A door hinge with at least one hinge axis, at least one holding arm that engages on the hinge axis and at least one contour, in which the at least one holding arm is supported on the contour with at least one section, retaining disks are arranged adjacent to the at least one holding arm and brake disks are arranged adjacent to the contour in order to generate a holding torque that is dependent on the opening angle, wherein the retaining disks and the brake disks engage into one another, and wherein at least the first holding arm, which is supported on the contour, is or can be stressed at least relative to the contour by a basic clamping force.
