HINGE MECHANISM AND A HINGE ASSEMBLY
A hinge mechanism comprising first and second members rotatable relative to one another about a hinge axis from a first to a second position; and a biasing arrangement operative to adopt an active mode to bias the first and second members into at least one relative position and operative to adopt an inactive mode where the biasing arrangement does not provide bias to the first or second members to undergo relative rotation, wherein the biasing arrangement remains in the inactive mode on relative rotation of the first and second members through a first selected angular displacement between the first position and the second position, and is in the active mode on relative rotation of the first and second members through a second selected angular displacement between the first position and the second position.
Hinge
A hinge having a first hinge part and a second hinge part. The second hinge part has a hinge pin to which the first hinge part is connected for movement relative to the second hinge part about a hinge axis between a closed position. An over-close mechanism is provided comprising a catch member on the second hinge part arranged to co-operate with the first hinge part to urge the first hinge part towards the closed position during closing movement of the first hinge part and to retain the first hinge part arrange to co-operate with the hinge pin to urge the first hinge part towards the closed position during closing movement. A soft-close mechanism is provided comprising a damper member on the first hinge part arranged to co-operate with the hinge pin to provide a braking force in the direction of closing.
Closure device and self-closing pivot hinge
Self-closing pivot hinges and devices such as doors for closing off an opening between two rooms or in a building fa?ade using such hinges include a spring that extends into a hinge housing along the longitudinal direction of the hinge housing, which lends a self-closing function, and a cam element and a ball that is pressed against the cam element by the spring. The cam element is shaped so that it creates support positions in which the ball rests.
Door construction with slideable pivot hinge
The invention provides a door construction comprising a door panel and at least one pivot hinge for rotatably suspending the door panel in a door opening. The at least one pivot hinge is integrated into the door panel at the top side or at the bottom side of the door panel. The door panel comprises a guide profile, extending along substantially the entire side of the door panel having the at least one pivot hinge. The at least one pivot hinge is slidably arranged in the guide profile, and the at least one pivot hinge is provided with attachment means for releasably attaching the at least one pivot hinge to the guide profile.
HINGE WITH ELASTIC OPENING MEANS FOR DOOR LEAVES OF FURNITURE
A hinge for door leaves of furniture and the like, which comprises a fixed part that can be connected to a body of a piece of furniture and a movable part that can be connected to a door leaf of the piece of furniture, the fixed part and the movable part being mutually connected in an oscillating manner by way of an articulation system that comprises at least one articulation axis and a rocker, the hinge comprising elastic means for opening the hinge which are functionally connected to the at least one rocker; the fixed part of the hinge is shaped so that it can be inserted into a seat defined within the thickness of an upper or lower wall of a piece of furniture.
Openable cover mechanism and image forming apparatus
An openable cover mechanism includes a shaft section disposed in a casing, a hinge section that swings around the shaft section, a cover that is supported by the hinge section and is openable and closable relative to the casing, and a stopper section supported by the casing. The stopper section includes a contact section that makes contact with the hinge section and an urging section that urges the contact section. The hinge section includes a peripheral surface in an arc shape that makes contact with the contact section, and a raised section that is raised from the first peripheral surface. When the cover moves from a closed position to an open position, the contact section slides along the peripheral surface relative to the peripheral surface and engages with the raised section to fix the cover in the open position.
HINGED DEVICE
The description relates to hinged devices, such as hinged computing devices. One example can include a hinge assembly that rotatably secures a first portion relative to a hinge axis. The hinge assembly can include an element that rotates around the hinge axis and moves toward and away from the hinge axis.
HINGE DEVICE AND OFFICE EQUIPMENT USING THE SAME
A hinge device for opening and closing a relatively lightweight cover, as well as office equipment using such a hinge device. A hinge device includes an attaching part attached to the office equipment side, the supporting part attached to the cover side, a hinge shaft for rotatably coupling the attaching part and the supporting part, a slider provided inside the supporting part so as to be slidable in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the hinge shaft, a cam portion formed on the attaching part, a cam bearing portion formed on the slider, an urging means for urging the slider toward the attaching member and bringing the cam bearing portion into a pressurized contact with the cam portion.
HINGE FOR REVOLVING SHUTTERS, ESPECIALLY OF SHOWER BOXES
An improved hinge (1; 100; 150; 200; 250; 300) for revolving shutters (A), especially of shower boxes, comprising a structural assembly which includes a strike block (2; 201) defining a substantially vertical main axis (Y) and suitable to be made integral with a fixed or bearing auxiliary structure (A), a pair of shaped flanges (3, 4; 103, 104; 203, 204; 203, 204) opposite, facing and coupled each other through fastening means (5) in such a way as to define a side recess (6) in which the strike block is substantially housed (2; 201), a side groove (7) which communicates with the outside and develops for at least part of the perimeter of the shaped flanges (3, 4; 103, 104; 203, 204; 253, 254) and is suitable to receive a peripheral portion of a revolving shutter (A) of a shower box, and an inner seat (8) hidden from view in which rotation means (9) are stably housed defining an auxiliary axis (Y) parallel to the main axis (Y) of the strike block (2; 201) and cooperating, on one hand, with the strike block (2; 201) itself in such a way as to define a first operative position, in which the revolving shutter (A) closes, remaining stable in position, a room of the shower box, and at least one second operative position, in which the rotating shutter (A), as a result of rotation around the main axis (Y) imparted by a user, opens fully, remaining stable in position, the room of the shower box, and, on the other side, with elastic means (10) suitable to retain the rotation means (9) stably against the strike block (2; 201) at each of aforesaid operative positions.
