An adaptive tool for winding a torsion spring of a garage door suspension system is provided. The adaptive tool includes a hollow rod configured to interact with a power tool, the hollow rod defining a cavity configured to receive a component of the garage door suspension system and an aperture configured to receive a fastener for coupling the hollow rod to the component of the garage door suspension system and including an exterior surface, the exterior surface having a plurality of faces configured to be gripped by the power tool.

An example door stop mechanism is provided. The door stop mechanism includes a body, a connection member, a spring, and a brake. The spring is coupled to the body and the connection member. The brake is positioned adjacent to the body. The brake moves between an engaged position via a spring force of the spring that causes the body to interact with the brake such that the brake contacts a track of an overhead door and an disengaged position via a force that acts against the spring force to pull the body away from the brake such that the brake moves away from the track to allow the overhead door to move.

An example door stop mechanism is provided. The door stop mechanism includes a body, a connection member, a spring, and a brake. The spring is coupled to the body and the connection member. The brake is positioned adjacent to the body. The brake moves between an engaged position via a spring force of the spring that causes the body to interact with the brake such that the brake contacts a track of an overhead door and an disengaged position via a force that acts against the spring force to pull the body away from the brake such that the brake moves away from the track to allow the overhead door to move.

A door control system is provided. The control system includes a controller configured to control a door via a motor. The motor is powered by a battery and bypasses the controller via relays and/or switches when power to the controller is disconnected. The current of the motor may be monitored and/or displayed to confirm that the door is balanced.

An example cable tension device is provided. The cable tension device includes a bracket, an arm, and a spring. The arm is rotatably coupled to the bracket and comprises a roller bar to receive a cable of an overhead door. The spring is coupled to the arm. The spring is under a load to cause the arm to rotate away from the bracket to maintain a tension on the cable.
