INFUSION LUBRICATED ATHERECTOMY CATHETER
A matter elimination catheter includes a catheter body extending from a catheter proximal portion to a catheter distal portion. The catheter body includes an infusion lumen, an aspiration lumen fluidly isolated from the infusion lumen, and a septum interposed between the infusion and aspiration lumens. A drive shaft is within the infusion lumen and is configured to provide rotation near the catheter distal portion. A guide wire lumen is within the drive shaft, and the infusion lumen, the drive shaft and the guide wire lumen are fluidly separated from the aspiration lumen with the septum. In one example, fluid bearings are formed between one or more of the catheter body and drive shaft or the drive shaft and a guide wire or guide wire liner when supplied with infusion fluid through the infusion lumen.
Method of manufacturing catheter for antimicrobial control
Disclosed herein is a method comprising transporting a conduit and a template through a guide tube; the template being disposed on an outer surface of the conduit between the conduit and the guide tube; and transferring a texture from the template to the conduit as the conduit and the template are transported through the guide tube. Disclosed herein too is an apparatus comprising a guide tube; the guide tube being operative to facilitate a transfer of a pattern from a template to a conduit; a first feed spool and a first take-up spool for feeding the conduit through the guide tube and for taking up the conduit after it has travelled through the guide tube respectively; and a second feed spool and a second take-up spool for feeding the template through the guide tube and for taking up the template after it has travelled through the guide tube respectively.
Medical device delivery system
A medical device delivery system can be used to advance a medical device to a target area within a patient's vasculature. The system can comprise a catheter, a support sheath, and a core member coupled to a medical device. The core member can be used to longitudinally advanced or retracting medical device within a lumen of the support sheath. The support sheath can be advanced within the catheter until a distal end of the support sheath contacts or abuts a reduced diameter section of the catheter lumen. Thereafter, the core member can be advanced into the catheter lumen toward the target area.
System and method for anesthetizing eustachian tube
A system for delivering a fluid to a Eustachian tube (ET) of a patient includes a guide member and a tubular member. The guide member includes a shaft having a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a bend at the distal portion. The bend is configured to provide access to an opening in the ET. The system further includes a tubular member comprising a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending therebetween. The tubular member is sized to fit within the ET. One or both of the tubular member and the guide member comprises a first stop member configured to engage the other of the tubular member or the guide member. The first stop member is configured to restrict a distal advancement of the tubular member relative to the guide member.
Catheter
A catheter includes a hollow shaft, a multi-thread coil body covering the hollow shaft, and a cover member covering the multi-thread coil body. The multi-thread coil body includes a ring-shaped or substantially hollow cylindrical joint part in which distal ends of a plurality of element wires are joined in a circumferential direction, a coil main body located at a proximal side of the joint part in an axial direction, in which an outer shape of a cross section of each of the plurality of element wires is circular, and a transition part located between the joint part and the coil main body, in which a width of at least one of the plurality of element wires widens toward a distal end of the element wire.
EXPANDABLE INTRODUCER SHEATH FOR MEDICAL DEVICE
An introducer sheath for the insertion of a medical device into a blood vessel having an expandable sheath. The sheath has a length, a thickness, and proximal and distal ends. The expandable sheath has a frame extending longitudinally between the proximal and the distal ends, and having an exterior surface and an interior surface that forms an interior lumen along the length of the frame. The frame is configured to achieve an expanded state and a contracted state, the expanded state forming an expanded cross-section in the lumen for passing a medical device therethrough. The frame has a smooth coating about the exterior surface and protrusions extending into the lumen along the interior surface. The introducer sheath can be introduced into a patient in the contracted state, with the distal end of the introducer sheath prevented from moving in the proximal direction by an abutment against a dilator end surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLUID CONTROL
The present disclosure generally relates to systems, devices, and methods for providing control of fluids from a subject, which may be utilized with an introducer system. Such fluids may comprise blood and may be produced during medical operation upon the subject. An expandable sheath may be provided that is configured to cover a portion of an introducer sheath body between the surface of the subject and a housing of the introducer sheath to retain fluid from the subject within the expandable sheath.
Fiber Optic Disinfection Device
A system for disinfecting a medical device is disclosed that includes an elongate instrument comprising a plurality of optical fibers extending along a length of the instrument to a disinfection zone, and a light source coupled with the instrument configured to propagate light distally along the optical fibers. The elongate instrument can be configured to redirect the light radially outward from the instrument. An elongate instrument for disinfecting a medical device can include a plurality of optical fibers extending along a length of the instrument from a proximal end to a disinfection zone at a distal end, the optical fibers configured to propagate a light along the instrument. One or more reflective surfaces can be located within the disinfection zone, and the reflective surfaces can be configured to direct the light radially outward from the instrument.
Flow modification in body lumens
The devices and methods described herein include an implantable body lumen fluid flow modulator including an upstream flow accelerator separated by a gap from a downstream flow decelerator. The gap is a pathway to entrain additional fluid from a branch lumen(s) into the fluid stream flowing from the upstream flow accelerator to the downstream flow decelerator.
ROTARY HANDLE STENT DELIVERY DEVICE WITH TIMING BELT CONNECTOR
A device for withdrawing a sheath from a shaft includes a housing a flexible timing belt that is a continuous band forming a loop that has an inner surface and an outer surface. The timing belt has a plurality of belt teeth on a surface of the timing belt. The delivery device is by rotation of a barrel that is actuated by an actuator coupled to a barrel having a plurality of teeth such that rotation of the barrel such that the barrel teeth engages the belt teeth to cause movement of the timing belt causing movement of the outer sheath.
