The cannula has an inlet zone with a first maximum outer diameter, an outlet zone with a second maximum outer diameter and a blood flow channel extending between the inlet zone and the outlet zone. The first maximum outer diameter is greater than the second maximum outer diameter, and the impeller system has a rotatable impeller body operable to convey blood from the inlet zone to the outlet zone. The impeller body may be axially spaced from the cannula in a separated position.

An aspiration catheter is provided including a proximal section and a distal section extendable through the proximal section. A vacuum transfer tool may be coupled to a proximal end of the proximal section. The vacuum transfer tool may include a proximal transfer tube and a distal transfer tube, each having an aspiration port in communication with a vacuum source. The proximal transfer tube may be removably received within a proximal end of the distal transfer tube. The distal section of the catheter may be inserted into the proximal section through the proximal transfer tube. The proximal transfer tube may maintain a vacuum around the proximal end of the distal section of the catheter such that when the distal section is removed by decoupling the proximal and distal transfer tubes, the vacuum within the distal transfer tube and proximal section of the catheter is maintained, preventing the escape of any clots.

An endovascular catheter has an elongate catheter body having a distal portion, a proximal portion, a transition portion and a central lumen extending longitudinally through the catheter body, with the distal portion having a larger central lumen than the proximal portion. A guidewire tube extends through a hole in the transition portion from the proximal end of the distal portion through the central lumen of the distal portion to the distal end of the distal portion.

An aspiration system includes a pump and a control system in communication with the pump. The control system includes a microcontroller, an antenna configured to receive a signal, and a pump control board in communication with the microcontroller. The antenna is in communication with the microcontroller. Upon receiving the signal, the pump control board operates the pump to create negative pressure according to the signal.

GUIDE EXTENSION CATHETER

Guide extension catheters and related methods are disclosed. A guide extension catheter can comprise an elongate tube member, a push member, and a concave track. The elongate tube member can define a lumen and three distinct portions of different diameter. A distal portion can define a first diameter, a proximal portion can define a second diameter which is larger than the first diameter but smaller than a lumen of a guide catheter with which the guide extension catheter is used, and a tapered portion, positioned between the distal portion and the proximal portion, can have a variable diameter. The push member can be eccentrically coupled relative to the tube member and extends proximally therefrom for slidably positioning the tube member within and partially beyond a distal end of the guide catheter. The concave track forms a transition between the tube member and the push member, and defines a partially cylindrical opening leading into the tube member.

A catheter includes a shaft having a lumen extending from a distal end to a proximal end. The shaft includes a reinforcement body including a plurality of wires that are disposed on at least a part between an inner surface of the shaft forming the lumen and an outer surface of the shaft and that are braided in a tubular shape, and at least one radiopaque marker disposed between the reinforcement body and the outer surface of the shaft. An outer diameter difference, which is a difference between an outer diameter of the shaft in a portion where the marker is disposed and an outer diameter of the shaft in a portion adjacent to the marker in an axial direction of the shaft, is smaller than twice a thickness of the marker.

The pin (18) is captured within an opening (22) of the base (14) to allow 360 degree rotation of the tube holder (16).

System and method for delivering a catheter

A method of delivering a catheter to a location of interest in the vasculature, the method including positioning a self-expanding sheath within a lumen of the catheter; advancing the catheter and the self-expanding sheath in tandem over a guidewire; and distally moving a distal end of the self-expanding sheath out from the lumen of the catheter thereby causing the self-expanding sheath to move from a collapsed state within the catheter to an expanded state outside the catheter, wherein when the self-expanding sheath is in the expanded state both the self-expanding sheath and the catheter are distally advanceable in tandem.
