Sliding door

A door system for a passenger vehicle includes a door, a first movement stage, a second movement stage, a second movement stage, and a movement transfer system. The door includes inboard and outboard door panels, and an inner door structure disposed in a cavity defined between the inboard and outboard door panels. The first movement stage moves the door outboard and inboard to open and close an opening of a vehicle body. The second movement stage moves the door forward and backward relative to the opening. The movement transfer system mechanically links the first and second movement stages to cause simultaneous movement of the first and second movement stages. The first movement stage is coupled to and extends between the vehicle body and the second movement stage. The second movement stage is coupled to and extends between the first movement stage and an inner door.

A sliding door device for laterally opening a door of a passenger vehicle includes a door and a drive device for moving the door transversely to and along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The door is flush with the lateral wall of the vehicle in the closed state, and in the open state, the door lies outside against the lateral wall. The drive device is arranged below or above the door opening and includes a support to which a first rotor is movably attached along the longitudinal axis of the support. A second rotor can be moved relative to the support along the longitudinal axis of the support by moving the first rotor, the door is attached to the second rotor, and the support is movably mounted relative to the vehicle transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The first rotor is connected to a driving element which is guided within a first guide track that is fixed to the vehicle, and a second guide track is located on the vehicle on the door opening side opposite the drive device, a guide element which is connected to the door guided in the second guide track.

ROOF SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

A roof system for a vehicle has a fixed roof with a roof opening that may be closed by roof panel. The roof system including a pair of parallel guide rails and an operating mechanisms for each of the guide rails. Each operating mechanism includes a front mechanism, a tilting mechanism, and a locking mechanism for locking the tilting mechanism. Wherein the locking mechanism is slidably guided in the guide rail and is rearward of and remote from the tilting mechanism seen in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. An effect thereof is that the package of the front mechanism may be reduced and along therewith the space required therefor inside the guide rail, allowing for a smaller cross-section of the guide rail.
