A pet apparatus has a rigid platform member, a rigid barrier member, and a support member. The rigid barrier member is attached to one end of the rigid platform member. The support member is attached to the rigid platform member at its other end. The left and right sides of the rigid platform member are open. The support member may be attached to a vertical wall below a pet door opening. When the pet apparatus is in a deployed position, the rigid platform member provides a place for a pet to stand after it passes through the pet door. The rigid barrier member prevents the pet from going straight off of the end of the rigid platform member. The pet must turn to the right or left to leave the platform by one of the two open sides.

HINGE SYSTEM FOR THE LID OF A WASTE BIN

5 A hinge system for a waste bin, the waste bin having a bin body with an open top and a lid for covering at least some of the open top, the system including a hinge assembly for hinging the lid to the bin body adjacent the open top, such that the lid is rotatable between a closed position covering at least part of the open top and an open position exposing the open top, and a damper assembly for connection to the bin body and the lid, the damper assembly having a damping mechanism configured for generating resistance to movement of the lid towards the closed position and substantially less resistance to movement of the lid towards the open position.

Accessory rod assembly for a cable manager

An accessory rod assembly for positioning cables and cable management accessories in a cable manager includes a base member, an accessory rod, and a rotatable knob. The base member has a front, a rear, and two sides, the front including a forward-facing socket, the rear including a first hook protruding rearwardly therefrom, and one of the two sides including a threaded portion. The accessory rod has an extruded construction and a generally uniform, at least partially cylindrical cross-sectional shape along its length. The at least partially cylindrical cross-sectional shape is defined by two opposed arcuate portions interconnected by a midsection portion. Adjacent edges of the two opposed arcuate portions define a drop-in T-slot channel that extends along the length of the accessory rod. The rotatable knob has a handle and a threaded end received within the threaded portion of the base member.

Compact hinge actuating device

A compact hinge actuating device comprising at least one hinge comprising at least one hinge plate and at least one knuckle. In one embodiment there is at least one sensor and/or fuse element coupled to said at least one hinge and at least one microprocessor coupled to the at least one hinge. There is also at least one drive coupled to the at least one hinge, wherein when the sensor receives input of a condition, and/or the fuse fails then the drive can be actuated. In the electronic version, the microprocessor reads the input as exceeding a minimum threshold value of a predetermined condition, the microprocessor then triggers the at least one drive to close or open the at least one hinge. In at least one embodiment the drive can be a spring, in another embodiment the drive can be a solenoid.

Provided is a hinge that includes a first leaf assembly including a first front leaf component coupled to a first rear leaf component for accommodating therebetween a portion of a panel having a first pair of holes. A first pair of fasteners may extend between the first front and rear leaf components and through the pair of holes in the panel to clamp the portion of the panel to the first leaf assembly. A second leaf assembly, hingedly coupled to the first leaf assembly about a hinge axis, may include a second front leaf component coupled to a second rear leaf component for accommodating therebetween a portion of a second panel having a second pair of holes. A second pair of fasteners may extend between the second front and rear leaf components and through the pair of holes in the second panel to clamp the portion of the second panel to the second leaf assembly. A spring may be coupled to the first and second leaf assemblies to bias the first and second leaf assemblies to move from an open position to a closed position. A dampener having a longitudinal axis may slow movement of the first and second leaf assemblies to the closed position, wherein the longitudinal axis of the dampener is located between the hinge axis and the first panel.

CONNECTOR COVER WITH SEPARATE ACTIVATION AND LATCHING MECHANISMS

An apparatus includes a connector cover and a lever arm coupled to the connector cover, the lever arm being shaped to accommodate a portion of an activating pin, wherein contact of the activating pin with the lever arm causes a movement of the connector cover from a first position to a second position. The apparatus includes a latch assembly comprising a clamp, the clamp in a clamped position preventing the connector cover from moving from the first position to a second position. The apparatus includes a first bracket with a first indentation, the first indentation being sized to accommodate a portion of a first locating pin, wherein an insertion of the first locating pin into the first indentation moves the clamp from the clamped position to an unclamped position, the unclamped position permitting the connector cover to move when activated by the insertion of the activating pin.

DRIVE ARRANGEMENT FOR ADJUSTING A FLAP OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

A drive arrangement for adjusting a flap, in particular a tailgate, of a motor vehicle, which in the mounted state is mounted on a body of the motor vehicle so as to be pivotable about a flap pivot axis and which can be adjusted between an open position and a closed position over a pivot angle. It is proposed that the drive arrangement comprises a torsion spring arrangement having a torsion spring, the torsion spring being adapted to generate a torsional torque about a torsion axis, that the torsion axis is arranged with an offset to the flap pivot axis, and that the drive arrangement comprises a first gear unit which converts the torsional torque into a supporting force or torque acting on the flap in the direction of the closed position or in the direction of the open position thereof.
