HYDRAULICALLY DAMPED ACTUATOR
20200141169 · 2020-05-07 · ·

A hydraulically damped actuator suitable for closing a hingedly connected closure system includes a tubular cylinder barrel, an energy storing mechanism for storing energy when the closure system is being opened and for restoring the energy to close the closure system, and a hydraulic damping mechanism for damping a closing movement of the closure system. The damping mechanism has a closed cylinder cavity that is partly formed by a collar that is integrally formed with the tubular cylinder barrel, a guiding element that is bolted to said collar and a piston that is irrotatably and slideably with respect to the tubular cylinder barrel coupled to said guiding element. The guiding element is fixedly positioned with respect to the tubular cylinder barrel, without needing a screw connection.

HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND DOOR ASSEMBLY

A door assembly and laundry treating appliance with a door assembly can include a door selectively closing an open face defined by a chassis. A hinge can be mounted to the door and define a first rotation axis. An actuator can be operably coupled to the hinge and define a rotational motion path to rotate the door about the first rotation axis.

Device for the sliding movement of doors and wardrobe doors

A movement device for the sliding movement of furniture and wardrobe doors having inner and outer doors which slide along parallel tracks/guides. The movement device includes inner and outer pairs of carriages each having a roller. The carriages are fixed to the inner front of each door. A plate directly attaches each inner carriage to the inner door. A frame with an inverted U cross-section attaches each outer carriage to the outer door. Air pistons are fixed proximate the ends of the guides, along which the rollers of the carriages slide for the cushioned stop at the end stroke of moving the carriages when opening and closing the doors. The mounting device includes a support member housing a second piston which is surmounted by an elastic clamp. The clamp selectively interfaces with an aligned wedge extending from a carriage from the other door to prevent abutment between door handles.

DOOR CLOSER WITH POWER CLOSE

A door closer may utilize a door closing device (e.g., spring) and a force adjustment device (e.g., a motor) in order to allow for manual door opening and assisted door closing. During operation, as a door is manually opened, the spring is loaded (e.g., compressed or tensioned) above its pre-loaded closed position state. Once manual opening is completed, the spring that is loaded during opening begins returning to the pre-loaded closed position state, and thus, moves the door automatically towards the closed position. Depending on the pre-loaded spring setting, the closing force of the door may not be enough to close the door, or to close the door with the preferred force. As such, during closing a controller may engage a motor not to drive the door directly, but to increase the pre-load of spring to increase the closing force in order to allow the door to close as preferred.

Automatic door operator

A door opening and closing operating system includes a pressurized fluid source (102), two fluid control push pull valves (144a), (144b), and a double acting cylinder (160) which is mounted to the movable element of a door (66) mounted within its adjacent frame (62) for the purpose of opening and closing the door. This system utilizes two push pull valves connected fluid-wise to opposite sides of the piston. Activating or energizing one push pull valve while deactivating the second push pull valve connects the first cylinder chamber to the pressurized fluid source, and vents the second chamber, thereby pushing the piston in a first direction, which pushes the door in a first direction. Energizing the second push pull valve and de-energizing the first push pull valve has the opposite effect, and moves the piston and attached door in a second direction opposite the first direction.

AUTOMATIC HATCH FOR BULK MATERIAL VEHICLES
20180313131 · 2018-11-01 ·

An automatic hatch assembly for bulk material containers, and especially for bulk material containers on vehicles, provides for the remote control and automated operation of opening/closing, locking/unlocking, and/or sealing/unsealing hatch functions. The hatch covers a fill opening of the container, and may be retrofitted to existing containers equipped with conventional hatch covers. A drive unit is operable to open and close the hatch cover, and a locking assembly actuates extendable lock members. Optionally, a pneumatic seal is provided within the cover for sealing the container from the outside environment. The locking assembly may be particularly well-suited to resisting opening forces applied to the cover, such as when the container is pressurized, and a sequencing controller may be provided to facilitate automated operation.
